I think that when some people criticize all new music, indicating it isn't as good as old songs... there a few things to consider. First, people who listened to music in the 50's, 60s, 70s will say 80s and 90s sucked. People who trained in classical in the 50's, 60s, 70s, will say that the 50s-70s music sucks as well.

Also, we always remember all the good 90's songs, just like in 10 years we'll remember the great songs from the 2000's, and forget the crappy ones :)
