@shamanhoro It means that they use all kinds of methods available in an emulator to assist their gameplay such as save states, slowdown, etc.

Basically, it's a combination of those two.

@maxkasmir Not exactly. I also use frame by frame editing. Sometimes direct editing of movie file. There are controller input data written in TXT format in there. Also I often use luck manipulation, if there is possibility to kill enemy by one shot I will find the exact frame in which I must shoot to do that. And im sure more experienced TASers also use RAM readings to find for example best conditions for attack. Sorry for my English sometimes it's hard to learn it in Russia.

the most annoying thing in resident evil is that he/she always asks him/herself: will you take the key? will you push the button? will you go up/down the ledder? will you activate the computer? will you kill yourself? will you sniff the herb powder? will you scare yourself? will you do anything else? will you blablabla... will you discard a useless key? HOW THE FUKK DOES HE/SHE KNOW THAT THE KEY IS USELESS AFTER A USE???

(1) re: inventory: RL: carry everything (assuming sufficient inventory space). IG: probably limited by technology (memory). The game-designers decided to obsolesce that requirement of player-prescience.

(2) Confirmation prompts reduce accidents (e.g., unintentionally using a ladder);

(3) Don't you have to push certain buttons sequentially?

the voice acting, the knife, the lack of inventory slots, the poison and the ink ribbon sucks in the game, otherwise....it's kinda cool, worth getting it, but be sure to have a flash-cart with god-mode if u're newbie to these kind of games....

if there's one thing i love in the ds version, then it's the map fo' sho'

Well Barry didn't get his Jill Sandwich. IMHO i think the AI is really stupid in this game =\ It seemed the PSX RE the AI was way much faster and you had to outsmart it to kill it quicker. Especially the Cerberus's. I hated them.

this is an exact port of the psx game. with some new gameplay elements.

the AI is no different. it might just be because you havent played in a long time or never tried running past all the enemies.

I've tried Running past the enemies, but really when you look at the AI taking so long to respond, it seemed so different, the Hunter down the hall hit Jill i saw it, but maybe the hit detection was off =\ Either way true i haven't played the game in so long. Eh, still seemed as the PSX was harder. Either way i see this game as really good. Just not as hard when i see it now =\ Code Veronica was way harder. Especially knowing what to do ._." Either way.
