Not always...

I've heard some songs where she sounds almost like she's straining to sing certain notes... whether this is an issue with the VOCALOID2 synthesis engine or a producer just trying to add more human-like effects to the song, I can't tell.

and there are some songs where she does sound kinda flat =.=; I guess it all depends on the producer and how good he/she is with the software...

@yowvapaa in Japanese the "v" sound doesnt really exist. Anyways in the japanese version, it has nothing to do with Virginia, just country roads and a town. Look up the translation. The melody is the same as John Denvers, but the words are changed to fit with the culture.

I mean, technically, it's nothing but steams of binary code, and yet, "she" was able to convince YOU that hers was a human voice.
