  • What is with the RETARDED looking faces she makes when she hits the high notes????? JESUS FUCKING CHRIST--looks like she swallowed a grapefruit!!!!!!

  • Poor quality vision....

  • Favorite Christmas song/hymn but this version is awful, much better when sung by a choir in a cathedral like it should be.

Check out 'O holy night Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral', much better

  • Wow..simply wow <3

  • Pure shit.

  • god mabe were fall dome juses mabe leave

  • what a redition fantastic Sarah sings it perfectly with all her heart magic

  • Lovely voice and fantastic big hair. Love her!

  • good morning thank you mon amie de françe

  • Absolutely amazing performance.

  • I am a Pagan, but I love Christmas carols, love Sarah Brightman's voice and this is one of those songs that are perfect for her voice!

  • Judging from her performance with Jackie Evancho on America's Got Talent last year, which is here on YT, Dame Brightman's career as a serious vocalist may be at an end. And before everybody hammers me, let me say that I hope I'm wrong because I have been a fan of hers for many years.

  • @dieseldog00 I have seen her live 5 times the past 2 years, she is just as good as ever, also in london she just sang The Phantom of the Opera 100% LIVE all high notes included for the 25th anniversary in OCT 2011.......Perfection, she still has ALL of it! <3

  • Isn't it amazing how she can sing every single vowel and consonant with her mouth still in an 'O' shape?!

  • @TheBrendanChung Sort of.

  • @TheBrendanChung Are you being sarcastic?

  • Sarah Brightman is a coloratura soprano for one thing and a lousy one at that! There is way too much space, the diction is all wrong, and its just a really bad job! It is not the end of a Wagnerian Opera, is an English Christmas Carol for God's sake, sing like it! For being in front of the Pope and at the Vatican I would hope they were to perform an exorcism on her before of after this tragic performance!

  • Sarah sings this piece ever so beautifully. Good job!

  • I love Sarah

  • Show them how it's done Sarah.

  • 涙が止まらない!!!

    素晴らしい美しい声、まさに天使の声です。

    Fantastico!Maravilhoso!!!!

  • Is she a soprano, or a mezzo? She has the vocal range of a soprano, and yet she has that wonderful timbre an richness that only a mezzo has...

  • HAHAHAH oh her face ahahhahhahah

  • Lo maximo.

  • Fantabuloso

  • Beautiful singing!

  • Sarah is so special. My 13 year old recently sand this at our local church.

  • @ 3:36 and 4:28 = EPIC FAIL!

  • @jayhernandez1987 better yet repeat @4:28 over and over again you will lmao literary

  • When I saw her do that face, man I really couldn't stop laughing, epic

  • She is Soprano!

  • Love the Mezzo Soprano! Amazing!

  • Sarah is an angelic reflection of heaven...in a lovely melodic form.:).<3 Magnifico!!

  • this woman is simply astonishing! A multi talented singer...she's got it all. Impeccable intonation and range.

  • Now that's O' Holy Night in a Mezzo Soprano voice, what an amazing voice what an amazing talent. Sarah Brightman to me, is the best that ever lived.

  • I think Ms. Brightman just swallowed a sour lemon.

  • what a super fantastic singer!

  • @CountertenorJ thats sorta what you're supposed to do when singing. "horse lips" stick 'em out and make them round as if you're going to sing "o".. or "ah" and raise your palette

it increases your articulation and announciation of all words and helps to project the sound forward

  • It's like watching one of Heaven's angels manifest inside a woman and sing. She is just so amazing.

  • There are parts of her voice that are beautiful and well controlled, maybe not in this performance, but it is really unfortunate that it sounds like she is singing with mashed potatoes in her mouth.

  • does anybody know what key this is in?

  • this is a really stunning performance, but i didnt get as much emotion as celine. and celine made it so much more heavenly and divine

  • "And in his name all oppression shall cease"

Right, because Christianity isn't responsible for thousands of deaths.....

    just sayin......

  • what the hell is wrong with her vowels??? :-s eeeek

  • If i didn't know the lyrics, i would'nt be able to make a word of what she says.

    Great voice though.

  • @waltercelario That's because the vatican prolly had, like, little church-mouse-monks installing the sound system *hee hee hee*

  • @waltercelario Valid point; however, that's also true of opera, and Sarah's training included heavy doses of that. I don't believe it detracts from this epic performance!

In selecting a female vocalist to perform at the Vatican, Sarah was a perfect choice.

  • @63striker Of course. Don't get me wrong. I love her. She has an angelical voice but sometimes i wish i could get the lyrics a little more clear. It's just one opinion, not to be taken as a criticysm towards her.

  • If i didn't know the lyrics, i would'nt be able to make a word of what she says.

  • Absolutely my favorite Christmas carol and Sarah Brightman brings out every nuance of the beautiful story being told in song. Bravo! Her voice is as mellow as a fine cello played by a master. As she has aged, she has only gotten better! God gives her kind of talent to so few...she is truly blessed with this golden voice!

  • Cantores ardderchog, wrth fy modd.

  • look the version of ave maria by fabiola rodas. She is a young girl 16 years old from Guatemala, a new world talent singer. look other videos from fabiola rodas guatemala and feel the power of your voice.

  • Sarah's eyes are gorgeous.

  • Este tema es maravilloso, y como cover de Sarah, pues se escucha aun mas hermoso.

  • She brings tears to my eyes at the end, so beautiful, such perfection, she smiles of delight, of inner beauty, truly a cherub of unequaled talent and genuis. If Angels sing, and I am certain they do, they sound like Sarah.

  • absolutely brilliant! the best voice ever!

  • awesome!

  • she is so so talented

  • lmao @ her face 3:38 hee hee fab song though

  • you try singing that high. you'd make funny faces tooo

  • @idiomlove Well, it wouldn't look so out of place, if she'd stop singing every other note through an "O" vowel.

  • @CountertenorJ AMEN!

  • @CountertenorJ Have to remember her operatic background and training.

The video is very visually pleasing, as were all her live performances.

  • @63striker I am an opera singer, and in college had to have four semesters worth of diction training. We were also taught that the messages of the piece is more important than "just pretty sound." Times have changed for opera singers, and she was not an opera singer. She's a musical theatre singer. In that genre the words trump all tonality issues.

  • @CountertenorJ Tks for setting the record straight. I shouldn't have offered that opinion as if it were fact. I had forgotten the details from her bio.

Next time i'll try to pay attention to someone's 'username' prior to posting. :)

  • @hfreeney79 She does that again at 4:28. WTF????

  • @hfreeney79 LMAO---She does that again at 4:28. Couldn't stop laughing!!!!!

  • Sarah is hot

  • Excellent!!!

  • wow she even sung at the vatican. Not just the vatican city but the vatican itself! amazing

  • awesome!! =)

she's sung even at the vatican city.. :O
