We did this at level 85 and we found that at that point, having Freya as our only keeper up was the most useful because we could heal through the damage of the adds during phase three while just burning down Yogg-Saron like crazy. Doing this at 80, however, I'd say Thorim is still the best choice.

Ulduar is the greatest raid of WotLK. All of its greatest are in their. Multiple boss encounters, a lot of achievements to gain, Hard Mode activation through events. I personally love the HM activation of this raid. It's way better than the convenient but boring click-click thingy in ICC.

Gears and weapons are much more beautiful too. I hate ICC's gears and weapons, kinda cheesy in my eyes.

I also tried algalon today, with the whole raid using 251 and 264 items, we still didnt got him below 30% health during the hour. I have huge respect for those with Herald of the Titans, and even killing him in the 3.1 patch. Cheers.

Good video, very helpful, I always look for tankspot vids over all the others. What i find interesting is the presence of the devilsaur....which means that their hunter was beast mastery. Its common knowledge that BM is the lowest dps spec, it has been since long before ulduar...so why would a cutting edge guild have a hunter in an outdated spec, putting out less than desireable DPS?

@MIlarkey Only thing i can think of is due to the pet doing around 50% or more of the hunter dps when they are BM, they used a BM hunter to allow a good amount of sustained DPS on Yogg in P3 since they cant be mind controlled, also notice their warlock was Affliction (in ICC days, affliction is pretty good, back in Uld, im sure most locks were destro)

@MIlarkey BM is not outdated in fact correctly itemized and played correctly it can do as much or more than a hunter in survival or marksman specs the hunter just has to be good and in correct gear.

@grepher22 No it can't. Check the spreadsheet or femaledwarf. BM is behind survival by a significant margin and behind marks by even more. It was used on Yogg Saron because of phase 3, where the pet could stay on the boss even when the hunter was turned around.

FYI if you have a shadow priest put them in the melee group and when they are in the brain room the heals from vamp embrace will heal them so when they exit the brain room they will be at full health and wont get 1 shotted when they come back upstairs :) good hunting
