@jinnaraka That is because the edge is very fine. This is a razor edge, it can't be use too hard. It will sharpen pencil and cut paper just fine. Which is the intended purpose.

@jinnaraka no wories man i had to re-heat treat mine in order to make it last. the steel it's made with is damascus hi-carbon steel. it can be heat treated to a hrc of 66 literally. just heat treat yours and youll be ok. after heat treat in an oven at 500 for an hour then oil cooled it will have a hardness equaling s30v.-cheers- ps. remember to oil treat this steel it rusts easy.
