  • Well you def. shouldn't lay your parts on carpet. You can give them a static shock and break it. My guess would be that there's a short in the motherboard. I'd take everything out except the monitor plug, PSU, graphics card and the HDD. Of course the motherboard jumpers but only power one. Don't leave the dvd burner or any 3rd party stuff just to isolate the issue. If that doesn't work, I personally would RMA or bring back that motherboard. This time don't lay it on any rug or carpet.

  • @ebonicstheory I've tried all the things you said, and beyond as stated in the video. As for putting my parts on the carpet, this problem was occurring long before they were even placed there. I only put them on the carpet because where it was had much better lighting. Lastly, I tried two different motherboards. The chances of them both burning out from a slight static shock within minutes of them being placed on the carpet are slim to none. I'm not wearing them as socks.

  • @xPLDxPunisher LOL yah I agree that it's a slim chance from that but maybe both were just DoA or just defective in some way. Don't be surprised, It's happened to me a few times. Usually with PSUs but you know how computers can be. I personally would try my ram and video card on a someone else computer is possible. Maybe test the PSU?
