Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Movie Review

I enjoyed Transformers 2 just as much as the first TF film. But I admit it could've been a lot better, and it has quite a lot of flaws, but I still thought it was fun. And I just don't get why they can't just focus the story on the Transformers and not the humans. This should've been one of those sequels that's completely different from the previous film, like what Aliens did with Alien; have something that connects to the first film, but focus on other stuff and do it differently.

I like you guys, but sometimes you recommend movies that are so bad that it's hard to understand how anyone can enjoy them. Your (relatively) positive review for this, and the equally odious Zack and Miri, just kind of left me scratching my head a bit. While I still agree with most of your outlooks, I feel that you go too easy on frat boy shit like Transformers 2. This is a "Rock fist WAY down" for me; I'd seriously rather get fisted with a cactus than see it again.

The guy on the right is on point, every attempt at humor failed miserably. I did not have fun watching this movie, in fact I was checking my watch frequently, and at one point I let out an audible groan when I realized there was still an hour left. The movie sucked, plain and simple.

This summer, I saw Star Trek, Angels & Demons, Terminator Salvation, Battle of the Smithsonian, UP! and Hangover.

Every one of them got a standing ovation at the end. Most of them did NOT deserve to get one.

The only recent movie I saw that did not get one was the Stoning of Soraya M., which was actually one of the best films I saw this summer.

Standing ovation or merely applause? At press screenings, they always ensure a full house so that the critics can see everyone applaud afterwards. It usually means nothing. The people got in free and there were a lot of them, so if 1 or 2 start applauding and 10 or 20 follow, that's applause...you can usually tell if people or wowed or not. Again, it doesn't matter when you are forming your own responsible opinion about a film.

You might be the first people ever to take Transformers serious. The fact that you don't negotiate with the Decepticons meant that you don't negotiate with Decepticons cause, well there Decepticons. I think that set up the lesson on choice, that even the Decepticons had choice. I LOVED this movie. It is everything that a summer movie should be. They took everything about the first one and amped it up. I agree that the comic relief was a bit too much- but overall GREAT summer flick

I thought the movie suffered from having too much material, it tried to shove everything in there really leaving nothing for a sequel (if they did one), like the pretender (sorry if i'm spoiling anything) quite literally was introduced then left the movie all within ten-fifteen minutes and it really was wasted---that and the opening, (china) which was awesome, was almost completely (in my opinion) too close up on the robots...i felt enclosed, which is a shame because it really was just...awesome
