@GypsyFairy85 lol so did I.. i wanted to taste it and I had to spit it out and wash my mouth like 40 times to get rid of the taste. I tought I was gonna throw up...
I heard that Ted Mack's Original Amateur Hour was the American Idol of that day. Yes it was. However, there was no Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Ellen De Generes and Ryan Secrest back then.
In 1966 Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Ellen De Generes were just kids then (just like me). Ryan Seacrest wasn't even born yet. (He was born in 1974,
Can you imagine Simon Cowell on this show? Ted Mack would have kicked him off the air because of his obnoxious attitude.

Yes, I'm sure some women found this offensive. The one's who are unwed mothers going through a string of men and not understanding why they can't hang on to one. Just think, in a few years their daughters can be knocked up and sons in trouble w/ the law!
@CaptainDebauchery I am a woman and I don't take offense to it...it is but a mere reflction of the reality of those times...therefore, it fascinates me...what a trip through history!
@jenzeppelin- you're absolutely right. The notion that a "woman's place is in the home" was socially acceptable at the time, and it really is amazing how far we've come- not just as women, but as human beings.
IF you are going to get pregnant it would be best not to use caffeine, make sure you ph balance is correct. Don't use corn syrup which means don't drink pop or anything premade it contains it.
Vitamins will help along with anti oxidants and other herbs.
Absolutely no fluoride 7 months before getting pregnant and especially while breast feeding.
If you've ever been anemic you would understand the before and after of getting treated for it. I have been and took Geritol when I was only 14, had a lot of energy after that. This commercial doesn't seem all that bad to me.
This ad was made after the government had started its crackdown on Geritol's claims that it made people feel energetic, which it did not, and could not, do. The whole "tired blood" slogan was - surprise! - a lie.
This is the opening of a 1966 "TED MACK AND THE ORIGINAL AMATEUR HOUR" broadcast {Sundays, 5:30-6pm(et)}, originally videotaped in color [note the "CBS Color" bumper], sponsored by its long-time advertiser J.B. Williams Co., the makers of "GERITOL, the high-potency vitamin and iron tonic that helps you FEEL STRONGER FAST!", followed by a Geritol ad with narration by veteran actor/announcer Mason Adams..."Hubby" is Bill McCutcheon.

Why do you "PC" thugs always see things as misogynistic, racist, or homophobic.
You know, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
