This is why DMC anime was so good. It was realistic. We already know that Dante kicks ass, so why would the guys who made the show prolong fights where you know the outcome... It's pointless antics. Just look to DBZ and the 5 minute fight that lasted like 10 episodes...

honestly i think they should have tried to turn the game version story into a anime story from where Dante and Virgil fight to where he meets Nero. That way you get a decent amount of good fight that aren't extremely easy for him, fights where he actually has some hard times and loses at points. They could have done much better with this. Way to short as well.

I liked the anime, minus the fights. Dante kicked everyone's *** with no problems, and even the final fight was him just beating the **** out of him and not even really suing his demon form. They should have had a 13th Episode that was just the fight.

if i remember allucard is not immortal, the lives of the one he killed becomes his, its like a life point in a game you take one you add in on your life point, thats why in the manga he vanished for years killing every person(lifes) inside him except for Schrodinger, and so now he can be everywhere but nowhere.

That's how this anime was: a lot of blabbing and almost all the fighting scenes just finishes with one hit. Pretty boring if you ask me. Especially considering the fact that it's based on one of the most crazy action games in the world. And this anime...style - may be. A lot of breathtaking action scenes that would make you to beat the game once more.. nah

Super strong super fast super everything basically immortal. Boring. He dosn't even have to do anything cool to win the fight here. Good point but imagine you played the game and your character was so strong that even if you left the game on while you left the room in the middle of a fight, came back in 24 hours and still suffered no damage. That would be boring. They made the game very good it was actually some what difficult. In the anime he can take a nap and have everything stab him for 24 hours and he is just going to get up and yawn. Boring. Cut scenes in games go by different guidelines however.

@meapickle Oh, I love Alucard and I love him as a character. I just don't think he fits as a constant main character since there is no obstacle he can't overcome and you, as a viewer, knows it. Alucard himself is one of the best vampires out there. Completely without morals and respect of others. The only reason he's in Hellsing is pretty much just for the lulz of it. It just feels like he'd be better as an antagonist, since you're supposed to feel you can't overcome them.

Dante had grown even more powerful since DmC1. Back then he could barely defeat Mundus with Sparda sword but now, he can overwhelm a demon who is in Mundus' league with only mild difficulty via only rebellion.

how come people like this show? I quit watchin' when he started a bar fight so he could get into a jail to bust some demon or some shit. I mean goddamn, isn't he like the son of the devil or something? The series involves a generic tough mercenary dude runnin' around killing demons for a little girl much more important to the storyline. I've yet to spot the insanely fun Dante from the video game series in any of the episodes.

@LSilentKiller7 just that good. In every game except 2, dante gets stabbed, somewhere in teh chest by his own sword at least once. So, Dante was more than liekly hurt, but he can regenerate very quickly, and since he's ahlf demon he probably doesn't need his heart to function too much for him to live. So, as he said to Patty...he probably was jsut taking a nap for a while...maybe lol

Was expecting a ton more from the fighting in this anime. All he did was shoot his guns around and swung his sword a few times. Also, I was hoping to see his devil trigger ability. It was disappointing that they failed to add in such an important mechanism from the game. Decent plot and good music though.

i think the script might have been a bit better on the japanese version lol in the english version, the sentences seemed to be lacking a lot of meaning lol what they're saying here makes a bit more sense. my biggest problem with the series is the short fights i mean yeah dante's strong and stuff, but you'd think with this being an action game hit they'd make an anime with more action and less talking

dante devil triggers for like 1/4 of second out of the entire anime. Why? Because he's so badass that's all he needs to take down a demon on par with the demon lords.

I remember one fight scene of Dante vs Vergil, after Vergil stabs Dante with his Rebellion, Dante awakens his Devil power and fights back, then got his hand stabbed by Yamato, then he pulled his arm without decapitating his hand and holds Yamato.. Well, Yamato is said that it can cut through time and space
