There is a magnet in the top of the cup and the ball is magnetic and can hide at the top of the cup until he bumps it down dislodging the ball off the magnet. That's how it's done. And there are two balls, one in his pocket one in the cup.

@MrMegamixdj Correct. The lemon and the orange were loaded from his pocket. For example he used the "when you go flick" line as an excuse to put his hand in his pocket and get the orange into his hand before then loading it into the cup as the audience were looking at the lemon.

I'd like to see him do the trick side-ways a few feet away from the box lol then we can all see what his feet is doing, (i.e.pressing a foot-pedal behind) cos that probably is a two-way mirror as seen on the film Mr bean.

Biggest hint is at .24 the raising of the hand and pocket putting-in, is a distraction so we don't notice his foot pressing down or something (cos we can see his feet cant we?, so we would therefore be able to see it raising slightly up and down -through the glass wouldn't we?

A two way mirror? Are kidding? How stupid can one person get? You can see his lower body moving behind the glass. That table is see through, and there's nothing in it. The trick is performed with sleight of hand, and nothing more. Brilliant sleight of hand, at that.

There is a very simple explanation for this : The glass box as far as i believe can store things in with springs and holes etc except you can't see inside from the outside. Why is this, because there is a type of glass existent that reflects like a mirror on 1 side but can be seen through on the other, its called a two way mirror (as seen on Mr Bean). You just need 4 of them to make the glass box, then with a kind of foot-pedal that releases balls from underneath on your side unseen.

I don't know how he put the orange in there, but this trick is done by pressing the cup at the EXACT the right spots that will allow one of the TWO objects which ALWAYS are inside the cup to "come out".. If you press the cup at the right place both objects will stay in the cup as you lift it... If you press at another right place the bigger of the two objects will be lifted with the cup allowing the smaller object (the ball) to pass the bigger object, thus "coming out".

I saw him perfom this live at a magicians convention and he's not as slick as he used to be! He flashed badly on both loads. A flash is where the magician exposes an object which is supposed to be hidden from view.

If you look closely you can see that when he shows no ball under the cup he raises cup in 45° angle, but when he shows a ball under the cup he raises it straight up. Don't know how it is exactly done, but this is the probably way how he uses it.
