  • 7:24 "yeah, just let me look down the barrel of this gun here now...hmm" Brilliant. And she shot how many Nazis?

  • 7:20 Nice to know the Russians are really concerned about firearm safety

  • Th dragunov- WHat?!

  • man that russian soldiers killed over 240 nazis! thats a badazz man right there

  • @ogi415 It's about terminal ballistics. If a bullet goes all the way through, much of the kinetic energy is lost with the round. Also a bullet that passes straight though will cause trauma only around a straight line. A tumbling bullet will cause trauma over a greater area. This is easily shown in the popularity of hollowpoint rounds, which actually fall apart in the body to cause maximum damage (they are not used by military because the geneva convention forbids it)

  • Yea sure the AK is more rugged than a mo - fo and it hardly ever jams...still the M4 - Carbine systems are more badazz and it just looks sexy

  • @SSCornyFluidFeces sexy and dead is still dead though. I'll take my clunky chunk of life insurance.

  • TLDW: people aren't dying fast enough

  • I want fps russia in this video

  • @kazzemg FPSRussia isnt russian >.>

  • @kazzemg No way, Wouldn't have that wanna be on this show. Sonny Puzikas is legit.

  • elite troopers with obsolete rifles

  • @MrEeeeeeeeeeeed Obsolete is a rifle that jams all the fkcin time, that cannot be submerged in watter, that cannot get some stain..... That´s obsolete!, not the AK that can fire anytime. YOUR M4/M16 systems are OBSOLETE, that´s why your government has been trying to replace them for years. (SCAR, FN2000, XM8, HK416/17, etc).

  • Increased effectiveness on a battleFIELD what about in a street battle then you need bp rounds

  • at 3:45 the dude looks like a retarded version of homer simpson

  • Can you buy the SAIGA 12?? And if how many

  • 7:20 hahaha wait what

  • Russia's vietnam = American campaign in Afghanistan.

  • who is this fat turd of a weapons expert

  • I think the narrator's script is in caps-lock...

  • The finnish sniper Simo Häyhä "The white death" still holds the world record for most kills with a sniper rifle, which indeed was the finnish variant of the Mosin-Nagant. 505 confirmer sniper rifle kills plus 200 confirmed submachine gun kills. Beat that.

  • I hate, hate, HATE how the narrator pronounces Mosin Nagant. It's a soft A, you stupid shit. Goddamn.

  • @erikm12 Should be pronounced Moseen Nagaon. What you are hearing is the American version, but its not right or wrong, just a translation that english speaking people can say.

  • @D3adtrap

Gonna get me one of those.... :D

  • I wonder where I can get a AK-74?.....

  • @Saku19 ok..

  • @LucasSchaaf

    Yes... :D

  • Tumble effect doesn't matter, since a .308 round has a lot of force behind it. It will kill your target regarless.

  • @baron8107 Without the tumble effect the .308 would just make a very tiny hole and not really do much damage. It's the tumble effect that allows the bullet to create a large cross sectional crush wound roughly 1inch in length as opposed to a tiny 7mm hole.

  • @brainplay

But what if it hits something important?

  • @baron8107 Even a .22lr is more deadly than a .308 if it hits something important and the .308 does not. The whole point is to maximize the chance that you actually do hit something important or do enough damage to internals to incapacitate the target. .22lr is still a 5mm wide bullet. The .308 is a 7.62mm wide bullet. Hence why yaw/tumble is so important even to bigger bullets.

  • If US left NATO... (which they should) and beacame allies with Russia .. These to countires would never face another war.... I was Born is Surgut Russia.. & Live in the USA... When you go to both countries and see both cultures... I can't say which one i would like to live... Russia is more like the US than u think (or want to think) America is also very much alike with Russia way of life... Yes each country has diffrent beleifs..But dosen't everyone have a diffrent belief on some sort of topic

  • @hanglow95 Absolutely. I believe you. I'm glad you're not prejudice (you can't be because you have a opinion with a base of experience) you've lived in both places. I was born and raised in the U.S. and have no reason to hold a grudge against anything russian, I think it's a interesting place. I think we could make good allies because we have many commonalities. I'm sure I will go there someday and learn more.

  • ok this is full full of brain washing bs as round damage and size. lets take Naim as a sample minus the m16 being total junk. the 5.56mm round would not kill but wound. The troops picked up ak too kill the troops after fire bases were attack cause allot were just wounded and would attack again later after crawling up. now lets add body armor as 5.56mm just bounce. A heavier round needed like the 7.62 nato round. then if you pen the armor the armor does more damage too the human target.

  • Im liking these vids but cmon really you coldnt edit the breaks a bit better :(

  • "The fact it could not penetrate means increased effectivness " So, my 4 years old chinese 42$ air gun is the mother of all guns ...

  • @ogi415 lol good comment made me laugh :)

  • @ogi415 Well, is more effective, due to the internal damage made by the bouncing bullet, if the bullet gets a clean shot, there are less chances to die, but a scrambling bullet can make a whole cavity shredding flesh and bone, making huge internal bleeding and dead...

  • @ogi415 It means that you do more damage to the inside of a body.

  • @ogi415 The point the video made, is that a slower moving round that strikes flesh will cause more damage than a high velocity round. The slower moving round has a tendency to tumble and create more tearing and cavitation, whereas the fast moving round just makes a straight clean hole in the soft target.

  • The Saiga is such a nice shotgun. So light and very controllable. Great home defense weapon and it's pretty accurate with slugs

  • @t3super60W

Well, of course it's accurate with slugs, the Saiga uses an assault rifle's system as it's base. A t least I think so...

  • @baron8107

    Hell yea it does, AK47

  • lol 240 Nazis. German soldiers couldn`t me a member of a political party. This is why I hate when we make documentaries.

  • "240 NAZIS, evil evil nazis! Whom were soo evil not even hitler likes those 240 men, the most evil nazis in history soo evil they ate babies and the hearts of any one who is innocent. Those 240 men would kill woman and children and cannibalize because they were evil. So evil that they got their orders from the devil himself, thank god for the Russians (who later become EVIL communists) that god had sent to defeat the evilness of the nazis!" - Weaponology American documentaries

  • @RazorCell7 Yup,lol, pretty much sums it up.

  • Female Sniper???

You can't cook with the rifle, unless the it's freash lead pie.

  • @ZImpresive That is sexist. I'm male.

  • @ZImpresive In the soviet union Women dont stay in the kitchen

  • @CccpReznov

You mean DIDN'T, there is no Soviet Union anymore. Why do you people always talk as if it is still around?

I doubt you are actually Russian...

  • @JustAnotherYtuber Well i Am russian And Soviet Union Is In Everyones Heart Atlist of The people tht love it

  • thumbs up if you're from the military and watching this brothers :)

  • Good to see Oleg selling his gear in the UK :)

  • Ok, this stuff about the 5.54mm round being devastating is somewhat confusing: I know a lot of people in the American military who dislike the 5.56 round of the M-16 family because of the fact that the bullet OVER-PENETRATES, which they're saying a 7.62 round does. The 5.54 bullet is a close enough comparison that it should have the same problem. A larger bullet has more knockdown power, that's why they use 7.62 and .50 cal bullets in sniper rifle, while a smaller one can penetrate armor right?

  • @MrShocktrupr, hey buddy the up side of this the 5.56 and 5.54 is that the fragment inside the body causing more tearing of vital organ but with body armor, being inside a light armor or behind cover it might be a different story because of the bullet having less mass than 7.62 which are normal use on LGMs and some sniper rifle which with can penetrate these objects over penetrate human tissue

  • @MrShocktrupr oh one more thing the M16 has a long barrel which is why it over penetrates

  • @CandCJosephNoob Take care how this helps

  • That s12 makes me so damn proud.

  • @combatswimmer1 @DutchManticore hey dutch don't feed the trolls please

or Tea Partiers, for that matter

  • @RepublicofCannabeer wasn't aware of this, thanks

  • Jesus Christ. Why do they always shoot some piece of fruit with any caliber and say "that would definitely be a kill shot." Of course it would be. Any intermediate or high-power rifle cartridge will kill someone if placed in the head.

And ignorant kiddies watching another dumbass show on the Military Channel. Jesus.

  • Any one who likes the Saiga 12 or any other russian weapons, check out my 2 videos I have!

  • @ 6:45 > implying every German Soldier was a Nazi :(

  • AMERICA FUCK YEARRRRRR, *bam* from a dragunov and fuck yearr is lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood and brains.

  • @TheLamelyNamed lovely

  • @MASTERBLASTER118 wait a sec. Kalishnikov's dead? when?

  • @903strikerunit kalashnikov's still alive

  • Primitive style for a primitive nation, too bad Europeans have to consume the same crap.

  • The saiga is fukin pro

  • Wow, he can kill he pupkin...

  • you cant mess with russian lol

  • No word of Simo Häyhä? Killing 300 Nazis isn't bad, but Häyhä also used a Modin-Nagant to kill 800 Soviets in under 100 days.

    In winter.

Without a scope. Because the lenses can give away your position and real men use iron sights.

  • @Yora21 Simo Haya wasn't a sniper, he was a sharpshooter. The reason he didn't use a scope is because he was too close to use one effectively. Zaitsev only killed German officers, MG crews, mortar teams and other snipers which where hard or even impossible to replace while Haya killed soldiers that where replaced in less than a day. Zaitsev is better than Haya.

  • @Dimdim316 umm... which Zaitsev? is it Vassili or the other one?

  • @903strikerunit Vassili.

  • Not purpose built sniper rifle, first purpose built DMR (designated marksmen rifle). *sight* *faceplam*

  • @ComradeMP187 facepLam?

  • 300+kills by single sniper team, salute.

  • What argument bitch Dimdim316

  • I hate Dutch fags.

  • @9223342 What, you hate Dutch people because a Dutch guy completely owned you in an argument? Grow up kid.

  • were is fps russia on this video lol ( yeah i now he is american im just kiding)

  • they laughed before the translation

  • 1:12 the older Russian M1943 steel core would do that, but not the newer Yugo M1967 had very similar tumbling characteristics to the 5.45x39 and it came way before the 5.45x39 did.

  • russian pumpkin carving

  • Comment removed

  • say for example your shooting through a cinderblock wall at targets on the other side :P

  • Am I missing something here, or does shooting through cover more effective = higher combat effectiveness? I can't help but think if you can't kill or at least put someone out of the battle with a non-tumbling bullet your probably doing something wrong, since I doubt adrenaline helps much when theres a hole in someones chest or stomach... but hey, never seen combat, could be wrong....

  • I can't stand that fat fuck. He is fucking annoying and can't shoot for shit.

  • you havent shown any pistols. work on that!

  • @CHRISTIANSOLDIER101 You obviously don't know shit about it then.

  • Why not equip every other member of a squad with an AK47 and the others with AK 74? I mean the AK 47 penetrating capabilities can come in really handy. Basically half with AK 47's and half with AK 74's.

  • @Unit987654321 logistics

  • @ASTEagle I can understand this generates a problem with delivering both types of ammunition, however it should increase the combat effectiveness of the military.

  • @Unit987654321 There's a reason why the US military has everyone using the same 5.56 ammo, mainly due to logistical reasons and a small ammo means you can carry a lot more of it. If they needed a bigger punch they'd always have someone who's carrying a dragonuv and that uses 7.62. same with the US military's new LWRC rifle.

But logistics is usually the largest problem, you want everyone using and sharing the same ammo so in case someone runs out you wont be completely fucked.

  • shit i could have gotten a Tantal AK-74 side folder for the same price i bought my AK-47, im starting to have second guesses now :(

  • hows does the 5.45 cope with cody armour?

  • @armourslave Depends on which type of body armor you are talking about.

  • @Dimdim316 Say the interceptor body armour and it hit the armour in the front.

  • @armourslave Well, if you are talking about the standard 5.45x39, no it can't if it hits the ceramic plates directly. However the 7N24 "super-armor-piercing" variant of the bullet could easily pass through.

  • The mosin nagat has a really long barell

  • I dont get it, back then the 5.56 and 5.45 mm bullets were revolutionary and considered more effective than the 7.62. But now, with the war in Afghanistan, the fast moving highly accurate 5.56 and 5.45mm are now slowly being seen as ineffective as the 7.62 and 6.~mm bullets are favored for their ability to have tons of stopping power. The SCAR, the FN 2000, the H&K 416, The Berrett assault rifle, the G36 were are originally 6.~mm shooting guns. Which bullet is better?

  • @TheSympathize Theyre now finding that the 6. mm is the balance between power and accuracy. The 6.8 i mean. Like the 6.8 PSD is now being used for security detail in alot of places because its just as accurate as the m4/16 but it can penetrate most body armor unlike the m4/16, more like the 7.62.

  • @TheSympathize the HK416 and the FN2000 uses the 5.56 as i recall

  • @jowwalienware the HK416 uses 6.8mm

  • That guy can't aim for shit.

  • @DragunovPK RUSSIA WIN IN WAR 1939!!!

  • i like how the guy with the Saiga-12 stood 15ft from his target and tried to brag XD

  • I own a Mosin Nagant....powerful, efficient, rugged....and badass. I love it.

  • @riomariucci me too.

  • Wow, this is a load of crap. EVERY SINGLE conical style rifle bullet "tumbles" in soft tissue. From the US 30'06 used in the M1 Garand to the old AK-47. The 5.45mm is no different. Without yaw, larger rounds would leave very little damage at all.

  • @brainplay I agree. A lot of people don't realize that the vast majority of spitzer shaped military rifle bullets will yaw/tumble in flesh. I think the difference between the 30/06 though and 5.45x39 is that the 5.45x39 yaws a lot earlier in flesh.

  • @brainplay Exactly! Just look at the tapered full metal jacket! Its lighter in the front....idiots

  • What the fuck, Simo Häyhä killed over 500 hundred people with modified Mosing Nagant in Winter War.

  • @redeyeshannibal shit joke bro

  • Use as much weapon tech as you want but it's tactics and knowing what you are doing is what wins you a war. The soviets had better equipment were better trained and had their new 74u with the bullet that causes more damage but they still lost due to the fact that the mujh had a great leader (Osama bin laden) who knew what he was doing and knew the area well. The soviets got their asses kicked and that's the same for any other country that has attempted to conquer or even fight in Afghanistan.

  • @sassy2161 You can't beat guerilla troops. They're fighting for their homeland. They will never surrender. Invaders are fighting for paychecks and false ideals. The Irish, Vietnamese, Mujahadeen all proved this.

  • @sassy2161 They didn't lost, Mujis had very few military successes in that war. What they did is what they doing now, random attacks, IED and ambushes. Soviets were very close to victory in 1986 when they achieved great success on the Pakistan boarder in destroying caravans with supplies. But Gorbachev pulled the plug on those operations. So was a political loose? Absolutely. Was it a military one? Absolutely no.

  • @allidsarebusy exactly! what happend to russia in the 1980s is what happend to the US in the1960s. a military success but political lose. back in veitnam for the US we killed 1,100,000 veit cong and army regulars, and only lost 58,212 soldiers, but poeple say we lost the war... no we lost political will for the war. for russia it was the same thing in afghan. US and USSR both never lost major or minor engagements in these wars. maybe a skrimish gone bad here or there but we would fight them off.

  • 6:45 "240 NAZIS.." lol do they ever get the idea that some of them were just ordinary drafted soldiers just like the russians and americans? the ones in berlin were the nazis. the ones on the battlefield were mostly just normal guys which wanted to get home in one piece

  • @happosai27 Exactly, the NAzis were SS, the regualr army were just like anyone else. Forced into a bloody waste of life.

  • lets hope to see a russian full auto shotgun better than the AA 12

  • @EnragedGoat I thought they were just comparing damage, and it seemed a bit odd to use a brick to do that. If they're comparing wal penetration, that's of course a differentl story.

  • Why didn't they shoot ballistic gel, instead of a brick?

  • @ManicParroT Well why the fuck would your enemy be hiding behind ballistic gel?

  • @ManicParroT probably cheaper. bricks are like 80 cents each.

  • @ManicParroT cus bricks are stronger

  • @ManicParroT It would be because they were trying to prove that the 5.45mm and the 5.56mm are not effective against armor. Like the guy said at 1:22, the 5.45mm is better for personnel, not brick walls.

  • @ManicParroT because they were perfoming that test for penatration on OBJECTS.

  • @ManicParroT

Because programs like these are fucking bullshit.

They only care about how 'awesome' everything looks... they don't give a shit about being informative.

Just listen to how the narrator speaks. He's trying to be in a beer commercial or anything.

I fucking hate it. It's why I can't stand american documentaries. horrible.

  • @DutchManticore +1, give me a BBC documentary any day of the week. Unfortunately, they rarely cover this type of subject matter.

  • @DutchManticore dude stop hating and go the hell away

  • @thepersonasleep

I'm not hating. I'm expressing criticism.

And it's not like Im lieing. Every single american documentry is bullshit like this.

A narrator with a beercommercial voice, rock music, things getting destroyed and cheesy corny jokes.

Go watch Discovery channel. Its all the same.

Remember when Discovery Channel used to be an awesome channel back in 1990-2002?

  • @DutchManticore ya but still it is what it is you know

  • @thepersonasleep

    What?

Can you say again? I have no clue what you're trying to say :\

  • @DutchManticore we cant do anything about shows like this so you know it is wat it is

  • @thepersonasleep

Ah yes, thank you for rephrasing.

Well, it's just that I do not think that, that is a reason to lose my criticism.

    But yeah :(

  • @DutchManticore ya it can get pretty annoying

  • @DutchManticore Just stfu... it's not the best but deal with it. better yet why doesn't your country make one? oh wait, hahahahaha.

  • @ScottHigh23

I don't know why you're laughing but Holland does make documentaries.

I'm not a 100% sure, but I think releasing a dutch docu in American demographics doesn't make much sense...so ofcourse you're not familiar with them.

Second of all, a docu on guns wouldn't be enjoyed that much by dutch people.

Almost noone has weapons, and almost noone cares for them.

In short, you're just a butthurt 15 year old.

  • @DutchManticore Shut the fuck up Dutch fag. What has the Netherlands given to international popular culture (or weaponry)? Go back to riding your bicycle along windmills and smoking weed with your boyfriend. You are probably the one who takes in the ass and are only allowed by your sissy laws to carry an oversized dildo to defend yourself.

  • @1stGoRide

Yes way to take some criticism.

I shall not even respond to the stupidity you managed to cram into such a short message.

  • @DutchManticore Don't mind him, he's butthurt by a youtube comment, AKA he's pathetic.

  • @1stGoRide

I wouldn't call the dutch fags. they are in Afghanistan right now fighting alongside the Australians. In my opinion that requires bravery. They don't have a weapon but so don't the Australians it doesn't mean we're fags. We use the aug and i'm sure they use something similar. You don't need to have your country manufacture weapons as long as they can buy them and their troops can utilise them well it is all ok.

  • @sassy2161 AUG FOR THE FUCKING WIN!! bullpup designs pwn

  • you being American (which i assume you are) your countries weapons are actually shit. USA does such a good job over boasting stuff that it can't see the flaws in itself. The M16 is a really old and long gun. It is so big that it is pretty much hopeless if you have to quickly get out of a vehicle because you are being ambushed (which the Taliban do a lot) coz it bumps into everything same when your indoors. It also over heats easily and very unreliable and not very resistant to dirt and dust

  • German weapons in my opinion are the best. The UMP45, G36C and MP5 is what your countries SWAT and special forces use a lot in close combat and they are all german. America is also adding the MP7 PDW to their arsenal since it is such a good weapon, also they HK416 assault rifle to replace the M4 and M16 they also see the advantage of the M27 IAR LMG. your country doesn't make the best weapons so stop calling other people fags when at least there not stupid. sorry for 3 comments. i had to explain

  • @DutchManticore this is nothing try to digest a guy runnin a future weapons show... he constantly speaks like batman or christian bale.... so fucking idiotic...

  • @DutchManticore I know. The american documentaries are owned by jews.

  • @DutchManticore This isn't PBS it's the fucking military channel. What do you expect?

  • @Orlan54

I expect an informative documentry that isn't narrated by the same guy that does all the beercommercials.

I don't need to be told a gun is "Ultra dealthy".

  • @DutchManticore THIS is a documentary?

  • @DutchManticore lol right because EVERY american documentary is like this. Fucking idiot .

  • @combatswimmer1

Yes, most of them really are.

You have the right to disagree, but it's my opinion that all American docu's are more entertainment, than infotainment...

  • @DutchManticore I'll completely agree with you that THIS documentary is bullshit; They spend 3/4ths of the time talking about the ak-47 and barely any time talking about the actually training these guys go through, but don't categorize EVERY American documentary as shit. Honestly you know just how fucking stupid that sounds as i do. Most people in ANY country aren't looking purely for facts and figures on shows like these. They want a little shock and awe.

  • @combatswimmer1

Yeah ok, ofcourse it's not all of them.

But it's way, way , waaay to often for my personal taste.

It's not an attack, stop feeling the need to defend America, I'm just venting an opinion.

I'd rather watch British, German,Dutch, Australian etc documentaries.

  • @DutchManticore Same here, and I'm American x)

  • @DutchManticore I don't know how many make it over seas but I would imagine it could be mostly the crappy ones. Just like I don't get all British TV, but some is awesome some is very strange lol.

This is a typical documentary made by people who don't know very much about these weapons. Its full of the typical gung-ho, yeah I'm a badass with a gun, that follows ignorance.

  • @MaximusRightAngle

You're so right about these shows being made by people who don't know a lot about these weapons, and therefor try to hide their lack of knowledge with "omg look at how badass and awesome guns are"-slang etc.

I can just imagine the boardmeeting.

"Guys we need a show that'll make it past the prescreenings of Discovery this time. We need some cash!"

"So what do people like, and requires minimal effort and investment?"

"OEH OEH DO IT ABOUT GUNS!. ADD EXPLOSIONS AND COOL

  • @DutchManticore Pretty much. There are many basic facts they got wrong in there. Like the poison bullet tumbling: all full metal jacket rounds tumble because they are lighter in the front and hit something denser than air, like flesh and tumble and fragment. Also The AK being a "rugged design" it is, but it's more complicated than an M16A2 in the sense that its bolt is pushed back by an operating rod like an M1 instead of direct blowback. Its all preference, not fact.

  • @DutchManticore your entitled to your opinion :), but im just sick of people bashing other peoples country in general, theres constructive criticism, and being a dick... i see alot of dicks on youtube nowadays, im noe that im saying you are one, you seem like a cool person,i mean in general

  • @mohiahmed1 not

  • @mohiahmed1

    Yeah thats ok my friend.

I truly try my best not to make my, what I intend to be constructive, criticism sound like the 'dick-atry' that is the internet mentality nowadays.

Everyone is indeed always bashing everything and everyone that's different than them..

Don't let them get to you though. It's just because the internet makes you feel anonymous, which turns people into dicks. There's usually a very normal person behind the dick-manifestation on the internet.

    The best to ya

  • @DutchManticore and to you too :)

  • @DutchManticore you've gotta un
