Just looking at pictures of soliders makes me cry because my b other is in the army and i know what hes giving for his country, and my brother has been my hero my whole life but its hard to look back on how we grew up and see that he is making a difference, hes not only my hero now, and i miss him, i want him home, and i want him to know im proud of him, hes been my stregth; guidence, and best friend my whole life and im only 13..

This song is about the love for ones country, its not saying that the USA has a large economy or military either. I'm not saying U.S. didn't play a big role in WWII, we did. The U.S. was a big moral booster to the Brits and Soviets. After WWII was over, the US spent a lot of money on rebuilding ruined countries and fighting communism, but this also lead to problems like in Afghanistan, Korea, Vietnam, etc. In the end, America isn't a great country, but it isn't a bad one and I wish people would shut up and stop saying it is a bad country and all citizens are morons, we all aren't.

Please, get your facts right. If it wasn't for the Soviets, many countries would have fallen to Hitler and his empire. U.S. and Great Britian did help though, but it was the Soviets that fought most of the war. It was a stretigic (sp) move by Churchill and other leaders. They thought, "after WWII, who will be left to fight?" The answer is the Soviets
Also, may I remind you that the Declaration of Inde. is basically a copy of the Declaration of the Rights of Man?

However, the Rights of Man were written after the Declaration of Independence--the founding fathers used French philosopher's ideas (Voltaire, etc), but the Rights of Man were written in 1789.
