  • @pearlmjhz arch your lower back so it's flexing, keep your chest out and forwards and don't let your knees go over your toes. if this still continues to hurt there may be somethin wrong with your back. id get it checked out

  • i mean, for it to be effective you can't use lightweights, the plates in the heavier weight have a longer diameter. What i meant was that you can't do that with a heavy weight without the actual DB hitting you legs.

    also, this video tries and fails to waork the whole back effectively

    to do so, you need to do a lower back exercise, like deadlift or squat, and then do rows

    also add some lat pulldown occasionally

  • you might just need to stretch your back muscles out really well if they arent functioning as much as your arms to complete that movement.

  • yeah guys use a bench or a stool, there are much better clips that show you how to do this exercise safely, this way will lead to lower back problems, for a start he bends his back to pick up the dumbbells ? check scooby's clips out, way better if you want to avoid injury..

  • It's much better to utilize a bench instead. Again, this exercise will lead to injuries for your viewers bro.

  • No, not if done properly and with the weight one can handle. Doing it bent over makes it more challenging and a more complete exercise than with a bench since you have to keep your whole body in constant tension.

    Palms facing up with a wider grip hits the lats hard, palms facing down hits the scapula/upper back more. Alternate the two and combine with seated cable rows and T-bar rows. :)

    There's really nothing better for your back than this except maybe deadlifts and pullups.

  • u can use a chair or bench, bench is beter. you go at it side ways and you can only do 1 side at a time but its much easier on the back. u pun one nee on the bench and one hand(same side) and with the other you do the row. slowly
