this might be just me but if it's supposed to be a performance car, why would you sacrifice performance for "ecoishness." I think there's a place for electric cars but it's definitely not in the supercar market. We should have eco cars so that we can have cars with howling v12s (my opinion) and if you want a fast car, buy a fast car. For the same price as this you could get a basically new 911 turbo

electric is not the future... more carbon dioxide happens just to make the car, than a petrol car would during its life time ... the future is hydrogen power... their octane rating is like 130 + (petrol is 92, racing fuel is 118)... and what comes out of the exaust ? h2o ...water..you can still enjoy the sound of v8's and v12 ..only with WAY more punch and no damage to the environment... and hydrogen is everywhere so it will NEVER run out ... its a win win win win win option..

@blahblop123 Only hydrogen is hard to separate from oxygen (H2O is the basis) and it doesn't generate more power than it costs to make it. You still have the carbon dioxide emissions from the separation of hydrogen, plus the building of the fuel cells.

It actually is pure electric all the the gas motor does is charge the batteries it's a generator, it doesn't move the wheels so it is all electric and not a hybrid

its not 100% electric.

i think its a nice car, electrical engines have great potential thanks to their huge torque and higher effectiveness. too bad that most electrical cars, like this one, have a little overweight.

biggest problem for the normal customer is the range ofcourse. The concept with an electrical engine and a diesel / petrol powered back up engine is great though. most trips people take are shorter than 32 miles and while youre at work you can recharge it for the drive back home.

This Fisker has all it takes to make electric cars a success: mostly looks. I wouldn't want to drive in an e-Miev or whatever, or any of those other silly "creations for the future": they're too small, rediculous, and won't get me anywhere. This Fisker has enough appeal (and here in the Netherlands some serious tax advantages) to actually make it in the corporate world. It's far from perfect, but I can only applaud to what it currently is. As good as it gets.

@JoeCfb It isn't useless at all. 6.5s 0-60 is pretty good for such a big hybrid. 32miles fulfills your city-cruising for a day. Stealth mode= you save power. Sport mode = unleashes all it's powers and makes it do 0-60 in 5.9s while using petrol(that also powers a generator). The genius behind this car is the very same genius behind the DB9 therefore this car is something between a Tesla Roadster and an Aston Martin DB9.
