hey yhimself!!. I´m watchin such a lot of time you´re tutorails and you´re once of my absolutly favorite producers in fl studio!!. I use also Fl.. but I´ve a problem with the cpu curve.. your curve is all the time at 2 per cent and for exemple when I load on ozone 4 or whatever the curve rise up and works by 80 per cent.. can you tell me something how it works clearly without any problem, please?!. thanks in advance :DD

Oh god i hate kicks. They are without doubt the most difficult part of any hardstyle track. The kick has to fit the sounds. I have a half dozen great melody hardstyle projects on my pc wich are not done because fucking kick is so hard to make

@hardman283 sorry, as you see in the video i didnt save it. also it wouldnt be a tutorial if i gave away the kick, that would be a samplepack. if you didnt get the kick right i suggest you need more practice since there has to be something you did wrong and if you had more practice you would have noticed it on your own.(im sorry if im sounding harsh)

but watch the video carefully, there is probably something you missed, look for every click i do at the moment your kick starts to sound different

I don't know what you people complaining about, but I made exactly the same kick using this tutorial and used it for my Defqon. 1 Producers Competition and got in top 10. People started flaming me about using Yhimself's kick because they think I "stole" it, but all I did was use this tutorial... So you people are doing something wrong and getting the wrong results. Try making your own kick using this tutorial. Don't just copy because you won't learn anything. I learned my lesson the hard way....

Somehow after 8:25 it does wrong.

Because when I put my kick into the sample and fill it every 4 steps, it doesn't actually sound like the kick everytime it hits the 4th key, it just keeps going from the first kick like an echo.

Hey, i have a problem. I made a completely different kick, with your tutorial as my guide, it sounds pretty good. But once i put it in a melody it doesn't fit. Ofcourse this has something to do with Edison, i really tried to look at what you did with editting the wave, but i just cant figure it out. Could you maybe explain to me what you did there?

@Viniarinsky the problem is probably because you didnt adjust the root note in the sampler, check out 11:10 until 11:19

No I meant something different. I meant the part from 7:55 till 8:40. When i put my kick into a sampler (with the empty parts removed ofcourse) with each 4 steps filled, it overlaps which makes my kick sound really awful. I followed every step you did there with the kick file in that part of the video, but its still overlapping :/

@Viniarinsky ah, make sure you set a volume envelope with no release. also check the looping options on the front of the sampler (it should ofc be off)

@Viniarinsky also, you have to rightclick and select the piano roll (like i do in the video), so the kick notes are in the piano roll, that way fl knows how long the notes are supposed to be

@Kwarrajj ah yea thats a "punchy\clubby" kick ive made earlier, just use hydra with the preset dirt kick and tweak the modulation so it gets nice and punchy and sample it out as a wav. or you could get the vengeance sample pack, there are some nice clubby kicks in it.

easier way would be to take a normal 909 kick and dist and eq it very hard :P

than layer a bunch of kicks together made by that way and master it right.

Could you please explain the "skala" thing, I see you input two notes, one long and one short stat starth beneath then goes up as you render it for Slice. What effect does it have and how should you input them? Please reply.

@BasicNewb i use the "glide" note built in in fl studio, what i do is i start the kick at the same pitch every time so i get the tok and punch sounding the same, but i glide the bass\"tail" of the kick to the note i want the kick to be in, so it will match the note my melody is at. i have a tutorial explaining this method closer its called "sampling out your kick"

@TheMelodyhunter the reason i used that "classic compressor" is to get a tok with more impact. but that only happen the first time the compressor gets a signal, the repeating kicks wont get that impact, thats why i sample out only the first kick. or maby you need to tweak the attack setting on it.

@Niklas220 a tool in the waves diamond bundle called RBass, its just a combination of a bassboost and a limiter, so if you dont have it you can substitute it with that.

@DjZeldoman i think your EQ setting are the reason why your kick doesn´t sound like this one. but, you don´t have to build the kick with the same hydra-setting, dist or tok.. what ever. create your own ;)

For everybody : if you cant open Wave Shell just like he does you need to go to the MIXER and now you need to click FX SLOT 5 now MORE now make this F in ALL WAVES from "Waves AudioTrack down to Waves Z-Noise Stereo and now you can just open for example WAVES RBASS by clicking FX SLOT 5 and just search for it in theBIIIG list you have now...i hope i can help someone / and if you search for waveshell just download bittorrent and use "thePirateBay " to find it
