  • hi, i'd like to know if the new small darwin ocellaris will be black like the 2 in the video or orange.

  • How big is your female and make clownfish when they started breeding?

  • Looks just like my clowns except my female has an orange snout. Mine spawned last Thursday right under their RBTA in my 34g RSM. The male is still taking care of the eggs. I might try to rear them.

I love how your fish are both completely black! Maybe the offspring of mine will turn out that way. It's so amazing to watch them spawn! :)

    Awesome video! 5/5 stars!

  • in a bigger tank the breeding might have a better sucess rate. i have a 55gl and want to breed my pair i have a golden marroon and marroon clown i paired them myself it was very hard but now they have pair i wanted to go oldschool like i did with fresh water and but a clay cup in the tank and see if that would help but not sure any pointers on breeding would be much needed

  • what kind of anemone is that

  • RBTA (Rose Anemone/Rose Bubble Tip)

  • what's the nitrate level in that water?

  • i need some of the same info as these watchers. i have a set of these. how long did you have yours before the started to breed??

  • WOW they look so nice in black n white!!

  • Hi, I have been debating whether to buy a 29 gallon biocube. I have plans to get some black ocellaris clowns. I have done plenty of research but I wanted first hand expirence. Are they as easy as regular ocellaris? Can you tell me some pointers on them and can you please help me with some of my questions? Much appreciated!

  • Black Ocellaris are much more difficult fish to work with breeding wise. This pair so far has not repeated the spawn, and they ate the eggs laid in the above video by nightfall. This is a big part of why Black Ocellaris are so much more expensive...they're difficult fish to get to spawn and hatch successfully. Rearing wise, they're the same as regular ocellaris...

  • Hi, thanks for replying. I am not going to try to breed them. I am in the business of breeding now and I have to say that I am going to give it up. I have a matted pair of maroons and I hate it. It is soo much work. I can't enjoy my tank, so i'm going to give them up for the biocube and some black's and some orange ocellaris. How's the nano cube? Would you say it is easier then a "home set-up" Thanks.

  • how big is ur tank?

  • This particular pair is in a 6 gallon nanocube...it gets frequent water changes to maintain water quality.

  • that is great! now I just have to get mine to spawn too!
