  • it reflects everything kurt liked

  • I randomly stumbled upon this one day, and I heard it, AMAZING, Kurt's a freaking genius with the best taste in music. Screaming Trees, GOOD JOB!

  • Living in the attic of a boring ass boat house... The picture of polly that she can't be without... She's all wrapped up putting puzzles together. Hoping that maybe... it'll change the weather... Just like polly pereguin shes messin up her hair again, go tell polly pereguin, then you'll see...Comin down the stairs again, polly looked at her sin...Stains upon the floor filled 1 by one. Openin the window that she painted red, the rain outside lands upon her head... Just like polly pereguin...

  • @Sean021122 ????? Interesting lyrics, but why are you posting them? I like them.

  • @nataleem1998 This is actually one band I can listen to practically everything of theirs and not say "i can or have written something better". I'm obsessed with their lyrics, Only difference is I can write this way sober, they had to be f'ed up to write these words. My clairvoyance comes naturally :P

  • She's comin down the stairs again, just like Polly Pereguin,..Noticing the carpet stains 1 by one. Then she goes out to the terrace, statues made of plaster of paris...Lighting up a cigarette, she stairs in the sun...Well she's messin up her hair again by sitting in that chair again, then she spills a bvowl of cherries over the wall... Just like polly pergeuin shes messin up her hair again...Then you'll see... Sittin on the bed in a room well after, the aftermath sparks a real disiaster...

  • love the guitar solo

  • well thanks to nirvana i know this band .... thank you..

pd: This generation sucks pig balls

  • @soundofmusic94 - there are some good bands around they just require discovery. Trust me. There are plently of good bands here in Olympia still.

  • I was led to this by Kurt Cobains journal. I can see why this was his favorite song

  • @risala247

It was the Beat Happening one that he liked.

  • @MrLetsdolunch

Ahh this is the BH one, it has the Trees with them too.

  • Who gives a fuck if this was Kurt's favourite song, or that Kurt wanted to be John Lennon... just shut the fuck up and enjoy the dam song!

  • @coquinkydink right

  • I came here because I read in Journals it is Kurt's favourite song....it is true... Kurt is a MISTERY for me....it is the least I can do for understanding him better and deeper..

  • @Enticelove I'd say spelling is also a mystery to you.

  • @merocket Why you say so?))

  • @Enticelove

Half of what he said about himself was lies.

  • @MrLetsdolunch How can you be sure about that? How can you know?

  • @Enticelove

Because he contradicted himself a lot, and because people who knew him tell different stories and stuff. I think he just liked to make a lot of things up and fantasise.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrLetsdolunch

Well, maybe he was a contradictory person - fantasised etc. Do you think it's bad? I guess it is different from lies anyway. For sure he was complicated and many-sided personality. Don't you agree?

  • @Enticelove

I totally love him lol. I think he fantasised almost constantly, but that just makes him even more interesting to me. He was a very interesting person, very deep and talented too. I miss him.

  • @MrLetsdolunch

Well, MrLetsdolunch, now I can sign under every word of yours! (except of "lol") Lol)) But seriously.....I feel the same.. I miss him. It is such a bitter feeling to know that he didn't manage to be happy. I think his perception of the world was deeply sad....

  • who is Polly Pereguin?

  • @kjaks probably some gal from Olympia. or maybe a fictional character. it's a mysteryyyy.

  • Mark Lanegan Rules

  • so... all of you nirvana fans: did you liked this song? is what you expected after reading was Kurdt's fav?

  • @quarryman128 yes, i did. im not just a Nirvana fan, though. I also love the Screaming trees, Beat Happening, the Pastels, an a whole bunch of other bands.

but then again im ot one of those Nirvana fans who thinks they are the best band in the universe, they are wonderful but they are just another band in a huge list of wonderful imaginatie work.

After all THAT is the way they wanted to be seen by the mainstreamers.

anywho this isnt about nirvana, its about to other amzing groups from WA :]

  • @quarryman128- Yeah I did, I thought it was really awesome.

  • Doesn't Polly Pereguin sound like it would fit nicely on VU's Loaded? I think so

  • @666AcidFreak john lennon ain't shit? get the hell outta here, dummy.

  • who cares, I like it...

  • agreed

  • i don't know why this should be the best pop song of the 80's-90's and i don't understang why kurt cobain wannabes have to agree with him in that area.

  • Comment removed

  • read the comments and this video and you'll realize. geez, i don't like losing my time answering to messages like this. read and think before you write, please.

  • yeah in first place you better don't lose yr time writing silly comments with bad ortography, do u "understang"?

  • I really dont know what you're talking about, but man I agree, that people should read the comments before writing stupid shit

  • Because this song is honestly magic to my years. I love the pattern of notes in the verse. Also its great to have a somebody to learn from and "want to be" like Kurt Cobain. Kurt wanted to be John Lennon!

  • he wanted to be john lennon as a kid/adolescent, not as an adult, and finally his music and looks were very different from lennon's.

that's a very stupid comparison, kurt had nothing in common with the wannabes that go all around youtube.

  • Thats not true at all, I know lots of instances of him as an adult where he openly aped john lennon. And Im not comparing him to youtube wannabes at all. There were plenty of silly Lennon wannabes, but Kurt was one of the genius ones. Youll find hundreds of stupid copycats, but only few are truly inspired. Im just saying theres nothing wrong with understanding him as an artist, his favourite bands etc. Its just somn to learn from

  • @KurtCobainof21

He never wantet to be John Lennon, he had huge respect from his music, his whole artwork, from his development of musician skills. And not only Lennon played a huge part how Kurt was thinking about the possibilitys of music/art. The whole Beatles where the band he had the most respect from. He wantet to be a big Rockstar like John was, but Kkurt was never that smallminded that he wished to be John ^Lennon. He just wantet to be once a legend like John, and this he has reached!!!

  • this is like a mix between nirvana and velvet underground. amazing.

  • This is a collaboration with Beat Happening. I had the tape. Lol! When I bought it the girl was like "Oh, do you like Beat Happening????" And I was like "Nah, I'm more into the Screaming Trees." Then she was like "oh..."

  • "Polly Pereguin is my favourite song as of this decade." K. :)

  • @maybeimjusthappy :) Kurt Cobain <3

  • Yes....Kurt fav song...<3

  • @MassiSciaq

yes, it was once maybe in 1989 his favorite songs, but this isn't the only favorite song that Kurt had. In his journal are over 100 so called favorite songs for him listet. He likes Mark, I think this is what counts more than the song by himself....

  • yeah it was :)

(He said in his diary )

  • this is really good.

  • kurdt cobains fav song.... :'(

    I LOVE IT.

  • really?

  • Kurt said so in his Journal, which is available to buy.

  • oh ok kool
