Yeah, the Sailor Moon series was the slut of syndication. (I mean that in a good way of course) Around '95, long before it hit Toonami, I saw this show on an NYC affiliate, USA, UPN, WGN, etc. Gotta hand it to Cartoon Network though, where most of the previous networks stopped, they greatly extended the life of the series.

Yes but for a few years it aired sporatically on the WB (at 6 in the morning!!!) & UPN. It was popular but network execs didnt think the ratings were good & wanted to cancel it but people protest. Sailor Moon got steady airing & popularity when it got shown on Cartoon Network.

I remember when WPIX showed this mad early in the morning (around 5 or 6 am) lol!! I think it was around 99 or 2000 when they picked it up and re-ran the show again.

DIC is my favorite, anyone who says otherwise will be stabbed. :O And it Debuted on Fox. But got picked up on WPIX in NYC. Before it became the WB. The second half dubbed by Pioneer was horrendous. I wish I didn't lend my original broadcasts with the bumpers to someone. They never brought it back. ;~(

You know, with a lot of people that are sensitive about the lesbian relationship between Neptune and Uranus, all we could do is write to Adult Swim to ask for it on the air, redubbed, hopefully by another company, and uncut. Most Moonies of yesterday are adults now anyway, and lots of people have Tivos so they can record it. Who nominates FUNimation?

As much as I love the idea, I don't think it's going to work. While there was adult material, let's face it, the show was aimed for pretty young kids.

I know why they got away with the things they did, but yeah, it was first and foremost a kids' show.

I hear that they might redub this show to make it more closer to the Japanese version (which was EXCELLENT) and we might get the 5th and final season, Sailor Moon StarS that wsa never dubbed, dubbed by (hopefully) FUNimation. Sailor Moon was never aimed at kids, it was a teen show...hope it's redubbed. And I hope that they will keep the Uranus x Neptune thing instead of them being cousins. The English version was ok too. Hey, who's ur fave Sailor Senshi? Mine's Mercury :D

If you're talking about both shows on USA Network, Mighty Max came first at 8/7 C, then Sailor Moon at 8:30/7:30 c.

It was used on a local station when it showed "Sailor Moon" back around 2000 or 2001. I have no idea if it was used elsewhere or not.
