what is the topspeed of this buggy

We have never tested it but it is not all that fast compared to buggies that cost just a little bit more, like the Ansmann Smacker and E-Firestorm 10T etc. They are a much better prospect in terms of reliability, handling and longevity too.

This is a great starter car for a child or beginner to the hobby. If you have been in the hobby for a little do not buy this. If you are going to go over any jumps be ready to buy some extra parts because this thing is cheap. Mine was broken in half the 2nd day I bought it and I bet I didnt even get more than a foot in the air. And when I say broken in half.....I mean broken in half. Spend $100 more and get a well known brand name like Traxxas or Losi. But great for a child, :o)

Agreed. The extra money you spend on a better model will be saved in repairs for the Max 4.

Hi, is this car essentially a Tamiya Baja King? How is the durability?

Yes, it is indeed. However I would imagine the Tamiya to be superior in quality and performance as this one is always looking screws and breaking vital parts (including the chassis).

Having said this, the design as a whole is a little outdated. i would recommend for similar money getting the A-Teck BX-1 or Ansmann Smacker. You can see details of these n our website and our other videos.

what are the best wheels?**

We are using wheels from a Tamiya Rally Ford Focus and some tyres that are ballanced for on/off-road use. The wheels are strong and the tyres are well ballanced.

you can get them from any model shop really.

I would think maybe 25-30 is more realistic. Off road it is much slower due to the small wheels.

Is it the 540 25000rpm? And have you got a better battery pack? What gear ratio is it

It's a 560 motor at 20,000 RPM. Which gives more grunt off-road but slightly less top speed so we added a different pinion gear to ballance this out and keep the extra torque.

We have may better battery packs but curiously it likes the stock one the best (fastest and longest run times).
