The method that I use? No. I study, that's the only one method. And if I say that that's solo is boring, is because of the fact that after have listened to it, my musical acquaintance has no changed at all. That's a melodical solo, and it sounds good. Nothing less, but nothing more. Any guitar player could do it just studying a bit the blues "gods" influences that have done the story of the blues, of course of the slow blues.

No, he doesn't explain anything, but yes, this is a how to. Any musician knows the best way to improve your playing, particularly with improvisation, is by LISTENING to as much music as you can. If you want to learn how to improvise better, it's good to listen to good soloists play, and transcribe the riffs that you like the most, and learn them in every key. Good playing man.

Melodic is just slow and beautiful. It is possible to sing a melodic solo, which isn't possible with shredding.

pentatonic minor is a mode of scales they are completely different things. and depending on the style of music, you can use any mode for soloing. (major, pentatonic minor/ blues, dorian, or even mixolydian are commonly used for blues/jazz)

major=1,2,3,4,5,6,7

pentatonic minor=1, b3, 4,5, b7

blues=1,b3,4,b5,5,b7

mixolydian=1,2,3,4,5,6,b7 dorian(i might be wrong)=1,2,b3,4,5,b6,b7
