the best era of F1, which i can remember, was the time, when these two were fighting against each other. there's no such charismatic driver in F1 these days... (except Michael of course)

@hhd270 people are hilarious. I remember this era well, and everyboy said how the prost senna era was the best. in ten years time i will be reading the same posts, about the great hamilton, alonso, vettel era. its all relative man. just enjoy it. I will make the small exception with this year it was awful.

@TheMagnatar you might be right :) but the whole F1 became incredibly boring for me, i can't watch a whole race, without falling asleep... this became more and more about advertising, and business (though i know, that is still really hard to drive these cars), and less real racing. that's why i'm watching the WTCC the last few years... mainly because i happened to know one of the drivers there :)

the problem is not that there are ads on the cars. it's the whole point of the series. a few years ago, it was real racing, when people were giving their best, and more, to win, there were lots of overtaking, crashes, spectacular driving. nowadays it's all about strategy, and if someone makes a bit risky overtake, he gets a penalty... that's not racing, that's just a big toy of some people, keen on making new rules. in my opinion of course :)

@hhd270 i could not agree more. this pursuit of clinical overtakes is total bullshit. What schu did to hamilton in monza was brill, like what he did to kubica in canada last year. we should be thanking him for this close racing, not scolding him. I forgot to mention what he did to barrichello.

hakkinen was very fortunate to encounter in the last lap on kammel straight the BAR . otherwise michael would have won the Spa 2000 GP. Anyway it was a great move !
