  • Sounded ever so slightly out of sync

  • Ythians, amnesia, schizophrenia... For those familiar with HPL's work the whole mistery part of the story is kinda gone after this point.

  • This game is 70 bucks now

  • @tig6trio3 It's only $10 on Steam

  • When you oppened that door on the floor I was like "Don't go there, don't go there, aaand he opened it, shit."

  • what the hell is that???? 3:48.some kind of dinosaure?

  • @sotgun1 those were the Yithians...

  • I love the hallucinations in this game! Load time are insane but this is a great game and true to the mythos:)

  • Thanks so much for these! They are so entertaining!

  • ''Mister Anderson... Surprised to get in the game?''

  • It's interesting how the main character gets scared and reacts to disturbing things. Makes him more human.

  • damn, i miss this game.

  • 1:48 HOLY SHIT

  • I think Betheseda bought this game and fixed the dialog and graphics at best.

  • MR. ANDERSON?!?!?!?! its the freaking MATRIX

  • lawl. Hello Mr Anderson...stupid matrix flashback

  • bethesda made this game correct? they made the elderscrolls and fallout series too.

    great game.

  • and great company i think

  • As I recall, the reason the character in Shadow over Innsmouth went to the town was chiefly because the bus from the town he was in (I forget the name) to Innsmouth then to Arkheim was cheaper than taking a train to Arkheim...

I've never read Shadow out of Time, I just remember the Great Race of Yith out of the old "Deities and Demigods" D&D book...The impression I got was that the worst they'd do would be to give you gifts of knowledge. (often a bad thing concerning Cthulhu mythos...)

  • Call of Cthulhu: The Game that taught us that 4D8 damage is not the way to success, and that movement is your most important attribute.

See a plot hook? Run like hell. Old man by the side of the road, accelerate. Don't split up, reload. And always break out the napalm first and ask questions later.

  • Innsmouth? not to be confused with illsmouth from CoC: Shadow of the Comet?

  • Illsmouth should be Insmouth. copyright problems, I guess?

  • ah crap im goin to be up all night now lol

  • Wait a Moment... That machine that Summoned the Yithian... I think a smaller version of it was Described in "Shadow Out of Time"...

  • What the F*ck is that!?!

  • Woa, this plot is moving faster than a speeding locomotive!

  • Lol. What sort of detective walks up to a device, presses all the buttons, then goes "Oh shit!" when it activates a machine that electrecutes the guy strapped to it....?

  • one that remembers how to use machines he shouldn't remember using

  • a good day to you now :)

  • Arkham asylum?

    Mr.Anderson?

Matrix and Batman combined with Eternal Darkness?

I would like to see that.

  • The name in Batman for the asylum came from Lovecraft's stories.

  • omfg first of all Batman is a fictional character and can't sue anyone..second...

    well nevermind

  • Batman ripped off a lot of different ideas >> There's a comic from like...10-15 years out before Batman. None of the iconic superheroes are original.

  • @nick50107 this game was made from HP lovecraft, a writer from the 1800's...so yea...check your fuckin times.

  • @coolHalo2Glitches Wow really i was joking when i wrote that dude

  • @coolHalo2Glitches except that H. P. Lovecraft didn't write in the 1800's; he wrote in the 1930's.

  • He is clearly not having a good day.

  • I wonder how that guy on the wall had still energy to scream for it.. I mean they drained everything in him etc..

  • Just the waste in his intestines

  • Actually, unless they sterilized his skin and skull before cutting into it (I doubt they bothered), he would have irrecoverably died of an infection. And, even if they did, with the place shaking and stuff, even a tiny grain of dirt in his brain would have meant his death.

    So don't feel too bad.

  • Hooray for rationalizing random murder!

  • But it was cool-looking, so it is okay!

  • Aaah... Unaussprechlichen Kulten in the shelf at 5:43. Nice!

  • lol i got this game for ten bucks at a pawn shop, but it was well worth it, a pity i am stuck on the dam ship later on.

  • It's rated M (ESRB), 18+ (PEGI), and 15 (BBFC).

  • sick game bro

  • I could never muster up the courage to play this game bro. Thanks for doing it!

  • Its a good game that could have been a great game.

The strengths are an intriguing story based on many of Lovecrafts great books, fantastic atmospheric graphics, music and sound.

The weaknesses as that while the game starts off as quite an intriguing action/adventure game with some puzzles relying on skills of observation, the gameplay declines into quite a generic and extremely linear action game.

I think the game got rushed during the development. Perhaps under pressure from Ubisoft

  • I think I see a glimpse of the same sort of excellent game mechanics that went into Condemned: Criminal Origins. I agree that the designers JUST BARELY pulled it off, but had to hack some stuff (the slow-mo for the truck is triggered whether you are in the truck or not, the fire loading before your eyes, etc.).

  • No, these guys were working late nights with crappy SDKs just trying to keep their damn jobs. Poor designers/programmers.

  • 7:23 sounds like a matrix refrance

  • This game looks bad ass, too bad I'm easily scared, not to mention how rare it is, so I'll probably never find it, let alone play it.

  • Eh, got mine at a Gamestop. Had to go to one in the mall and he referred me to some other Gamestop for it. :)

And yeah, this is a late comment, but just felt like pointing it out.

  • dude u chose the coolest games to do walkthroughs on were do u find theses games

  • Call of Cthulhu. Though you probably already know.

  • Ah, is this only as far as you've gone with the walkthrough so far? Pity, I'm quite interested in how the game interpreted the Innsmouth story. I look forward to watching the rest of your walkthrough when it comes out ;)

. . . or maybe I should just get the game.

  • He's got new ones on his recent of course. lol :P

  • you should get it but be warned it may be one of the scariest you ever play its pretty messed up

  • O.o i had the weirdest dream last night... it was about this game... the main character was hanging himself and 4 Cthulhu were on each side tapdancing... o.o;; i laughed when i woke up and then was like: WTF?

  • Sounds like the start of a fan fic to me.

  • ;-; i know.... but that was my dream

  • I was saying it sounds like the start of one if you write such things. Seeing as Lovecraft wrote many of his stories based off his dreams, a person writing Lovecraft fan fic based on their dreams of his stories seems poetic.

  • oooooh <3 hehehe... o.O i had a very strange dream when i was 15... i dunno what the monster was, but it scared me... i remember the whole thing too.

  • MURDERER!

    : )
