I used to have an album by Brother Ray, released around 1965, that had this song on it, but at a much faster tempo. The name of the album was "Have a Smile With Me." Every single song was what might be called a "novelty." One of the other songs was called "Two-Ton Tesse From Tennessee." The whole album was great.
@theoriginalbadbob I have been looking for Two-Ton Tesse From Tennessee ever since I lost my favourite Ray Charles album. It was a tape and starting to wear out due to excessive playtime.. :) . Georgia on my mind, I can't stop loving you, Hit the road Jack, Feudin' and fightin', smack dab in the middle, that lucky old sun, ma she's making eyes at me... I had the tape in the 80's, but I'm not sure when it was reliesed. Does anyone know the title etc of the album?
@azure72play Good news, my friend, it's available from Amazon, and is on my wish list there. It's a double-album CD called "Ingredients in a Recipe for Soul/Have a Smile With Me." I've never heard the first album, but it has some great songs on it. "Two Ton Tessie" is DEFINITELY on the second one. I used to play the album all the time too.
@TheLogicJunkie That turntable was hooked up to an amplifier. The volume on it couldn't be adjusted no matter what. I apologize for the audio and video quality as that's all I can work with now.

Great song, but the audio could have been recorded louder.

Well, at least you put the song up. I am grateful for that.

This appears to have a lot in common with masturbation.
