  • i'd love a highland wedding <3

  • this band's guitarist plays like Steve Morse!!!!

    /watch?v=KZJKPLo32aE&feature=related

  • Makes me feel like I should get married too, just so I can have this tune at my wedding. But then I think: Are you out of your mind?! Getting married?! Hey! Cancel that priest! I can listen and enjoy this anyway right?

  • I want to cry when I hear this

  • This is what guitar playing is all about. Thank's Steve.

  • True art!

  • He is the most astonishingly talented musician. i LOVE his music. Actually, I breathe his music like air. Other music I listen to, and I enjoy, but his music is music that I experience as much as I listen to. It's music for the brain, and the heart and soul, not just for the ears. And, I love that after so many years of playing, he is still nice to his fans. He remains very grounded and down to earth, and just so damn humble.

  • this isnt just a listening experience -but transendental...

  • Close your eyes, put on a set of headphones and blast this. I guarantee you that at exactly 2:02 a chill will run up your spine.

  • absolutely beautiful piece

  • beautiful -rhsc nyc

  • He is "it" as far as i'm concerned. None better.

  • God bless Morse for this piece of music !

  • Pure bliss...

  • cool:):):)

  • I suggest Bible-Truths dot-com to anyone who is interested.

  • WTF is this necklace??? hahahah good song btw

  • @srvaughan2 : Steve owns land out west near the reservations and is good friends with many of the local Indian nation peoples there, it was most likely a gift. Why the criticism??

  • Música de altíssima qualidade, execução primorosa, banda inigualável, melodia inesquecível! Congratulations!

  • Had this for my processional at my wedding 10/30/10. My ex roommate and he's brother were the only ones to recognize Steve Morse they thought it was awesome that I used it.....

  • He's such a spectacular guitarist that I think people often neglect the fact that he's also one of the most talented composers alive today. He is like a modern day Bach, which is not surprising since he obviously loves and has studied Bach.

  • i'm not trying to mean offense at all, but this picture of him makes him look like maria bamford.it's erie.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i´m re-discovering this song after so much time.............

thks I1I1I2I (pls, pls, do a better nickname !!! )

    ok ok sorry :

  • Makes me think of some kind of spiritual Indian dance or something :)

  • The melody man!!! he can do any style..A great musician..

  • The Master.

  • I got married 5 years ago Steve...need ed your playin expertise. Aye...

  • Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Like John Petrucci said " Just when you think your learning guitar , you discover someone like Steve Morse"..

I honestly cant come up with anybody off the top of my head with Steve Morse's versatility in different cultural music stylings.. Jimmy Page.. Eric Johnson.. maybe....

  • hey is Morse of native american descent?

  • Thank you so much for sharing this!! It's a marvelous piece of work, and I love the album version. Morse is unbeatable.

  • really cant understand why he isnt more popular.

  • TheMaskwa,

Probably because his music is too complex for the 95% of people who are "Passive Listeners". Musicians have listening skills much further developed. That's why we dig what he does.

  • I tell you, my wife who's a classical listener, she even likes Morse man! LOL. I think you're right. He hits the higher tastes more. It would be a shame to see him make any compromises. He's simply unique, very spiritual and musical.

  • Hagopn1,

This is allot harder to play than it sounds. Check out my "attempt" at playing this.

    allen

  • @carvetop01 Yours is a nice performance as well. While not the virtuoso that Steve is, you've definitely hit the spirit of the piece spot on.

  • @Hagopn1 ,

Virtuoso is an excellent way to describe Steve. Very few can do what he does.

    Thanks for listening.

    Cheers,

    allen

  • @Hagopn1 My mother is a classical guitarist(with talent beyond my own) and when I 1st discovered what a great guitarist he is, I showed her his 8 1/2 minute solo, which she didn't quite get... showed her him playing classical pieces lice Jesu' and she's hooked! He really does appeal to other musicians, they can appreciate his talent.

  • I can't either, man (why he isn't more popular). He's really a great musician, overall musician, with a very unique perspective. IMHO, he's the lead man in the blending of rock, jazz, country, celtic, etc.... Listen to this tune, obviously Scottish nostalgia, beautifully done, something that can even draw non-rock listeners. This guy should be revered highly.

  • Because mankind is devastated by commercial-shit-music :-(

    FUCK IT!!

  • @TheMaskwa Much better for us dude...his music´s only for us! (egoist comment, but true XD)

  • @TheMaskwa : In guitar cicles, he is very popular. He was banned from thr reader's poll for bet guitarists in Guitar Player magazine (or it may have been Guitar World) for winning that title 5 years in a row. He is a consumate profesional and basically "writes his own ticket" (i.e he does not allow record co.'s to dictate his career) the guy ha been the lead guitarists for Deep Purple longer than Ritchie Blackmore has! aside fromhis solo,Dreggs work & being a prof. pilot !!

  • @hazor777 Plus, in my mind (as I did not have the pleasure to met him) he is one of the most straight forward guys i ever seen..not sign of selfprotagonism whatsoever

  • @Tuscopa : Ive met him before & listened to several interviews with him & it seems to me he is like the this person who has a unique ability to shift left & right brain mode at will or maintain an equilibrium with both: very analytical and detail oriented, but very creative and expressive too,...And a real nice guy to boot!

  • @hazor777 I bet if the world was populated with more people like him, it would be a better place to live on :).

    Take care.

  • @Tuscopa : yea, but he'd probably humbly deny it, haha....

  • @hazor777 8-D

  • @purpelaar You haven't a clue and no nothing about music!!!!! Steve is one of the all time greatest guitarists

  • Just saw him this week and he did this tune!!---Thanks for the upload---They broke the mold with this guy!!

  • Ah, broke the mold! You took the words right out of my mouth!--:) I've loved this tune since it came out.
