LYNX a failure in design. not a good idea to have the cartridge connectors on the outside rather than covered. i played a few lynx games and they were garbage indeed. gauntlet was better on the Spectrum 48k let alone the128k

The Linx doesn't have the same capasitors problems like the game gear, but if you change the bad cap of the game gear and do the LED mod it will last 50 more years and looks mch better than the linx and the battery life change from 3 hour like the original to 8 hours with the LED mod. The linx is good but I go for the Sega GG. Anyway I like them both.

I always wonder what modern day gamin would be like if these failed consoles were outselling to the gameboy for example. Hell this was already in colour, and had 'Comlinks' which was networking in 1989! It'd be far past the DS in my opinion, (not to put the DS down, I love it, and the PSP)

@lowmax64 back then pixels could not be placed as close together as they are now and that was a really early colour screen as well even the gameboy advance screen has little gaps between the pixels if you look close enough

mark IS muhammed from qatar!! his parents, immigrants from the middle east, changed his name to mark in order to fit in to their new surroundings, and upon later discovering the truth, mark/muhammed created an ebay account in the name of 'muhammed from qatar' as a clever cover-up to hide his online shopping addiction. so every time 'mark' compulsively buys something crazy on ebay, he can say it was 'donated by muhammed from qatar' and everyone is none the wiser

If you don't have a ComLynx cable, your Lynx system came incomplete. It's one of those hendhelds that you can't really play on the go. It's too bulky and adaptor power is almost a must. The AA battery's lifespan is just too short.

The Lynx is more comprable in technology to the Gameboy Advance than the Gamegear. Just wait till you see the scaling effects in games like Gates of Zendocon or Todd's Adventures In Slime World. I miss my Lynx... :-(
