Its service for another company is a pity to see these locomotives rendering and that, in Mexico by bureaucracy and corruption never got here to run as it would have, is enough to clarify that only years were working 2-3 after being stored like 14 years! friend its Manuel DIAZ
The biggest obstacle to electric freight in the US appears to be property taxation. One oil company reckons there's only enough oil for another 40 years!!!
andybowe, this railroad was built to serve a generating station. Utilizing some of the station's output to power the trains was a more economical option, as opposed to shipping in massive volumes of diesel fuel.
I can't help you with the dispatching method. I'd like to know more about it myself.
deathstarmygnr, the four units in this train were built new for Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Mexico (N de M).
The Navajo Mine Railroad, however, did employ two former Amtrak E60CH locos, along with a former New Jersey Transit E60CH, which was also originally built for Amtrak.
O MY GAWD!!!!! There it is!!! DANG!!!! This is one heck of a vid. To bad the train was not running the day I drove up and down a portion of the line. I so wanted to get a shot of this thing in action when I was there. Amazing vid. This vid is so hard core to the bone!!! & The thing has alternateing ditch lights!!!! Interesting how one crossing arm lowers and raises faster than the other. 5+ star vid!!!!
Tell me this isn't strange as heck... electric overhead power where you would really least expect it, out in the desert Southwest 'in the middle of nowhere', LoL!! This is awesome!!
oooh serious sound ;)

This is not NdeM my friend, this is the Black Mesa and Lake Powell Rwy, they purchase those ex-NdeM which it's different so don't mix up the things.
