If you ask jesus into your life, then you can do ANYTHING you want! rape, murder, torture, theft, pretty much anything, hell beat a few slaves, who cares, your saved! Free pass into heaven!
A true christian would not follow the words in the bible, but the meaning behind them. Sadly, nearly every person calling themselves a christian, whom I have met, reads what he or she wants to read, not what is meant.
Soo... i can rape, murder and so all kinds of stuff, and just before i die, i just get forgiven if i want to? Here is another thing about Christianity wich i do not understand, God .. in all shapes and forms and such.. is loving and forgiving, why the hate towards gay people and bisexuall people.. He "created" mankind and all the living animals.. so, he clearly "made" someone gay from birth just for the shits and giggles so they could be hated the rest of their lives by christians?
So, if I accept Jesus into my life than I can do whatever I like, say murder, and be classed as a better person than someone who hasn't accepted him and did something as small as lying? Seems silly.
I'm fine with being a good person, even at the risk of being judged. I do it because I want to, not because I'm told to or I'm afriad not to. How can you teach children to feel ashamed of themselves for sinning, and to judge things as black and white, when life isn't that simple.
@abyssus99 You have a strange comment. Are you trying to get into an argument? If not, the book of 1st John (in the Bible) was written specifically to give proof for the transformation of a unsaved person into a true follower of Christ. More specifically, it doesn't mention murder or any other sin as being a proof.
As for your other question, guilt and shame are not Christian values. They are things we know and lug around without a relationship with God from His Son, Jesus Christ.(Romans 10:11)
@DonnZ0r If God did not allow evil to exist, our choices would be limited by Him, and we would not have total free will. God needs us to have free will so that we can be reasoning and independently-thinking human beings, capable of loving Him and each other by choice.
GREAT Trick and presentation. I am an amature Christian Magician and an Army Chaplain. I have four children at home. I'd love to learn this trick or purchase it if available. Can you advise? Many Thanks. Ted
Remember what it was like for you before you were born? Death is just like that.
"Why are you an atheist?"
Because believing in a magic man that there is no proof for would be stupid. People have invented hundreds of magic beings to explain their existance. The christian god is just one more pathetic effort.
Do you really believe in talking snakes and Jonah living in a whale????
you sound very angry. what do you live for? i'm asking you these questions because your name is "I preach atheism". if that's what you preach then i want to know what you preach and how you came to the conclusions you did.
Im an atheist, remember? I dont believe in an afterlife so I have a LOT more respect for each and every day than a person who deludes themselves into thinking they have forever to
You have something wrong. This Magic guy doesn't believe that he has all of eternity to respect. According to the Bible, which i'm assuming he believes in, it says that our days are like a breath like a flower that fades away quickly. It also says that it's appointed for a man once to die. Every day is precious weather you believe in an after life or not. Every person should be a good steward of their time and not waist it because you're not promised tomorrow.
I could remove this comment but I thought I'd reply. Brain washing occurs when people have been persuaded to believe something even when there is convincing evidence pointing to a different conclusion. In this case the evidence to support the Bible and It's Good news message of Jesus, our Savior is overwhelming. Therefore this is not brainwashing. It is teaching. An atheist however can be brainwashed if he holds to his atheism and ignores all the evidence for Gods existence.
Deleting opposing views is common among religious posters and it is to your credit that you Chose not to. I have yet to see any evidence that supports religious assertions, let alone "overwhelming" evidence. Doing this to kids is a consistant theme among all religions, and they all claim to be "teaching" the one true religion. I, like most atheists, would happily give up atheism if the facts prove it to be inconsistant with reality.
I like your style. I bet we'de be good friends if we grew up together. I'm currently working on a video series that will share a few of the reasons to believe in God and The Bible. When they are done they will be up on youtube and I hope you will enjoy them. You might find it interesting to know that I was a committed agnostic until age 25. I even enjoyed tripping Christians up who claimed that Christianity was the one correct religion.Boy was I wrong! I look forward to your future posts. Scott
If you did something wrong, try to make up for it. Not because you fear your afterlife, but bucause you really want to redeem yourself for whoever suffered. And in the future think what consequences your actions will have on your life, and on the others lives and in society and you won't commit another sin. It's simple. Why add a supernatural being to the story?
Thanks for the comment. First, I didn't add the supernatural being. God is real not made up. He's also Good and Loving and Just. It's his Justice that people forget about. It's His justice that requires a punishment for sin. None of your suggestions would do a bit of good in front of a good, loving, and Just judge here on earth. A just judge punishes crime. God's love however is so great that He paid the fine for us as Jesus. He now askes us to turn from sin much like you suggested. Thanks.
@magicforjesus If God knew about the event before it happened (as an omnipotent being would have to) and did nothing to prevent it he would be just as guilty as the person who committed the "sin". You preach that if someone is "wrong" to you, he will be punished by God, and instead of trying to rationalize what is good based on logic, you say that some sky wizard is going to damn them forever for thinking and acting differently. The bible is not fact and you promote evil and bigotry. Not good.
A belief in Karma is a sin itself. It is first a breaking of the first commandment because it refuses to love God as He really is. It is also a breaking of the second commandment because it is the making up of a false God which is idolotry. Karma is also easily proven to be false. People who attempt to prove Karma pick and choose a few extreme examples convienient coincidences but totally ignore the billions of examples of undeserved suffering and undeserved prospering. Listen to God please
If you tried to get into Oprah's house for dinner tonight you couldn't do it. She only allows people who meet her own special standards to be a part of her inner circle of friends and that is her right. You could make up a list of standards for her, but she still wouldn't let you in. She is a real person and has her own standards regardless of what we make up for her. God is the same way He is a real person and He has His own Standards. He doesn't change based upon our thoughts. Love Him.
The truth is you will want to visit God's house one day. On that day you had better meet His standards. Karma is not the same as you reap what you sow. Study the whole Bible. You do believe in commandments, sin, right and wrong. Don't lie, dont steel, don't punch me in the face, etc. You even command me to keep my opinion to myself while at the same time sharing yours with me. Oprah makes the same mistake. Jesus is real and He loves you so much. Run to Jesus today.
Scott, wonderful presentation and story. Ticket to Heaven is just as perfect. May God bless you in all you do and may his continued blessings into your life and magic fall as snow.
Of course you can't add as much sin as you want. You shouldn't WANT to add any sin at all. If you WANT to sin you haven't really repented at all. But, if you have repented and trusted in Jesus, the blood of Jesus will continually cleanse you from sin.
If you ask jesus into your life, then you can do ANYTHING you want! rape, murder, torture, theft, pretty much anything, hell beat a few slaves, who cares, your saved! Free pass into heaven!

I prefer people with a little color in their lives. "White as snow" has been a long-used racist term used Christians to justify their wickedness.
