  • This song is my cell phone ring tone, wow, and I rhymed lol!

  • I so love this song, the anointing on this composition is incredible, if they never make it back together destiny was fulfilled with this song. (For me that is)

  • Have you ever turned a non believer on to some of this great music,Try it . Its a great way to help spread the message.[or the good news of what Jesus has really done for us.God bless, all ya'll.

  • @Gr33nWAR have fun down there o.0

  • what was in the box?

  • Pray for my Grandmother she fell and is in the emergency room.

  • Between you and me I have not been a good christian I am getting better posting christian stuff but thats just another good deed in gods eyes pray for me send me all your needs and i will pray for them personaly and i will give them to my youth group if you want me to say unspoken then just tell me unspoken i need to convert as many i can before the rapture and even then i want to be left behind so i can share the gospel there. read mathew 6:7- 15 i can do that too. just tell me.

  • @crimsonred11 What the?... You have to convert as many people as you can? Who the hell said that? Yourself? Man, before you go on saving others, go seek the Truth. Learn it and make a relationship with God whenever you can, preferably now. God is with us all at all times, for he is in us all at all times. People stray away from God when problems creep through their lives, but they don't realize that God had placed those situations so that people may learn from them, and to help them grow.

  • @crimsonred11 Also understand that each and every individual on Earth are placed where they are for a specific reason. This is the will of God. Now you capitalize on that by using your free will. Just look around you and you'll find out that God has been speaking to you through your environment. Look at all the symbolism God places for you to learn, live, laugh, and love. :) Never think that anything can ever be purely negative, for positive can always be derived from negative nd positive things

  • read mathew 7:24-7:27

  • dios es fiel

  • this is the good stuff

  • To this day, this remains one of my absolute favorite dc Talk songs. Wonderful and I don't think I'll ever not enjoy this song.

  • What is the box

  • The box represents guilt.

  • ummmm the words don't match the movement of there lips what a butcher job.

  • hay i got it, the box repersents his past the ppl chasing him are something like bad feels, and the landery room where he left the box repersents your sins, worrries and every thing elas being cleaned. i think thats what this is about

  • I think that the box contain some thing like a secret or something it would be realy nice to see what was in it

  • ya but if you realy want to let it go, see how you cant chage it, or ask god to take the burden :) he will be happy to

  • i think its pretty simple, lady is his dirty past, he throws it away, then she ends up in the wash, get to start all clean with God once we confess sin, God is sooo cool!

  • i love this song! i haven't heard it in ever

  • @MsLisa80baby arent hidden messages bad?

  • what was in the box you think, maby that's why the dude was running it held some super secret and who ever knows about it must protect it :O

  • His Guilt maybe?

  • ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER!!!!!

And it is CHRIST inspired...cant get no better, boo....happy birthday to me..Thank you GOD/JESUS/HOLY GHOST!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG AND THIS VIDEO

  • Comment removed

  • so what was in the box

  • Sins! When that guy leave the box behind, he left the sins!

  • yepp!

  • I know its sins, i was just joshing scincegeekjesusfreak.

  • mm okay I see it now, left behind his burdens

  • @guscole OMG! For Years ive been trying to figure that out! lol... that makes perfect sense! Thank You!!

  • @guscole

More specifically, it was the offense that we often carry against loved ones and friends. Once we confess them (which is what the song is about) we can toss them away rather than carrying them around, and ultimately preserve the relationship.

  • @guscole how you know?

i always wanted to know that too....

there was no to be continued....

  • u&meboth!

  • Over the years we have all been lied to by many false religous leaders and so called prophets. Many things we have been taught are not even in Scripture and millions have swallowed so many lies by these false leaders. If you are a truth seeker please visit the web site which is displayed in our user name, and take the time to read some of the articles, you will be very shocked.

    Blessings as you seek truth

    Thanks Ben

  • I read some of the articles, and it doesn't change anything to me, all it's saying to me is "here are some observations i made from the bible". You claim that Christianity is just a group of sects falling from one thing or another, and with separate interpretations of the bible, but you yourself are interpreting the bible. And H'soos isn't spanish for Jesus, Jesus is spanish for Jesus, and even if you wanted to do it phonetically, it would be Hayzoos

  • this is sweet

  • WHAT WAS IN THE BOX?!?!????!??!?

  • Doughnuts, man

  • ROTFL, sciencegeekjsusfreak, krispykremes, hopefully! Can you imagine if GOD made doughnuts how they would taste...Homer Simpson: (uuummmm, doughnuts)

  • Personally I think it represents all his troubles, sins and everything bad to him. He had to get away what chases him before he could get rid of it, or something like that

  • These are the strangest of days to me, and what 'bout you (and be honest)?!? Good melody to a good song!

  • Jesus Freak was the best melodic album ever. Mix of forgiveness songs along with with other elements...its all good!

  • what was in that box??????

  • Toby is on the road doing churches he was in Wichita Ks Singing and Worshipping in the a church. But I never saw a my secret admirer..

  • Eu já gostava do grupo há muito tempo, e essa música é o máximo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great song one of there best

  • I loved this song when I first heard it. And when I had my heart surgery I play this song with a few others and this song got me and the Lord closer as we always have been. I love it its different but you get the point. God Bless!

  • Dope song!

  • I am not a religous person but i have always loved dc talk for their music and message and their committment to both and this song is so deep that you could relate to it as a person of faith or a listener learning the concept of forgiving and letting go of your burdens that consume you.

  • Lancybodancy, you raise a good point with what is happening with many bands these days. There are lots of Christian bands trying to make it in the mainstream business and they try to branch out to audiences that sometimes are turned off by Christianity...A classic example is Underoath, though they are way more blunt about their faith and even say in concerts that they do everything for God...I think they try to live what they preach though, and are just regular guys who happen to be Christians..

  • There will never be another DC Talk :-(

The sad thing is there isn't any Christian bands that have came any where near taking their place in mainstream media. The sad thing is the Christian bands that are big now aren't as blunt about their faith as these guys always were, its like bands now are ashamed of their faith :-(

  • Pray for them....pray for ALL beleivers, i keep all believers...(you included ;-)) under the blood of Jesus. We will make it, we just have to keep each other covered in prayer.....FOR REAL!

  • i agree 100%

  • i like it more when relient k sings it this is still awsome

  • whatever happened to dctalk anyway, they had it going on

  • They went on to pursue solo careers

  • Timeless...love this song...and whats cooler, its a christian song...so i dont feel nervous listenig to this groovy song

  • "we've gotta love that is worth preserving."

  • Sorrow is a lonely feeling unsettled is a painful place I've lived with both for far to long now since we've parted way I've been messing with my contions and I've found myself to blame

  • Now i get it, the box is the stuff he refuses to let go...the unforgiveness he has in his heart.. the enemy uses that to chase him down, he cant get away from it, he runs inside of public laundramt, where people see him, he is under distress, no one knows why, he decides to drop the unforgiveness and move on, like nothing happened, but has new life..thank you GOD, JESUS , HOLY GHOST!

  • AWESOME!!!! I couldn't figure it out...LOL

A lesson we all need. :-)

  • That's my favourite song, and my favourite group.... God bless yuh

  • simply put, this song is deliscious!

  • love this song glad the video part isn't workin' and the audio is.

  • Keep repping our saviour hard brothers/sisters...The name JESUS CHRIST HAS POWERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Christ is Lord!!!!!!!! HE IS THE BEST DRUG...GET ADDICTED, NOW!!!!!!!!

  • Total submissive confession for the WHOLE WIDE WORD..haha...finds out about my faults..and they will...and I know it...and I will not back down/up/pack/stream liquid filth..yep..no where, no time, no place, no noise, no sense..I have always made this point to those I've offended and been offended by..l.sweet

  • i love these songs

  • Hi, Braenchild, i accidentally pushed thumbs down, when i meant thumbs up...I Agree/like your comment...right on brother...GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS CHRIST NAME...holla

  • Peace!

POW BIG IN THE MUSIC SHOW The LAIGHT tie me up you are blessed by God!

  • Most melodic song DC Talk's ever done and probably their best.

  • "If confession is the road to healing, forgiveness is the promised land"

One of my favorite lines from any song. Go dc Talk!!!

  • I love these guys! God knows how to speak to each generation!

  • I love this song....timeless...classic...unfortunately, when this song came out, i was knee deep in sin, masturbation, lust, spiritualists...fear ruled my life...i was catholic, and was asking every saint but GOD/Jesus himself for help. I didnt know any better. I said more novenas than a little bit. Didnt know about the power of the blood of JESUS CHRIST. talk about bondage....my biggest lifes ambition was to be skinny and be a stripper. But, please believe, strippers, Jesus luvs you too. holla!

  • Praise the Lord ! Isn't it amazing when youre eyes are finally opened to Him and the Tuth in His words smacks your heart and brain. Now comes the hard part ... Keeping to that righteous road and avoiding the old ways ... Stay True my Friends !!!

  • good christian song.

  • For some reason it seems like the audio is off to what their singing.

  • it's just a little out of sync

  • Irritating, isn't it?

  • irritating what?

  • Irritating that it's out of sync. It's a common problem on youtube.

  • well, he threw the box away... hmm, I have no idea what could be in it...

  • - what was in the box?

    - this song is really good. It has a good message. I like all of DC Talk's songs!

  • I think it was a bible.

  • heck no

  • i remember so many years ago before i knew who this band was and this song was always on the radio, really popular song, and had no idea it was a gospel band. really good song brings back some good memories.

  • amazing lyrics

  • brings back memories. i love the soonng soooooooooooooooo much! but bad sync. go dc talk!

  • These people make me wish I were older...I was eight when they went on intermission....

  • Well, you can still enjoy their music ;-)

  • So true. I grew up with these guys and Jars of Clay. my brothers loved their music. So I'm grateful I didn't really miss out. :)

  • In response to anyone saying DC talk soldout, because the bridge that says "In my pursuit of God...etc." the song was way too long to ever play on radio in the first place (like 1 and half too long the original is 5 min+) so something had to be cut. Could they have cut something else...maybe...but it could have totally wrecked the song. But they had to cut something.

  • ta lagado o som com o video ;x

  • Judging by the lyrics of the song, I'd wager his "sins" were in the box and it was "guilt" that was chasing him. He then gets rid of his sins in the laundromat (scrubbed clean, perhaps? i.e. confessing his sins to God) and is able to continue on with his life.

Notice how tightly he was clinging to them and yet almost casually got rid of them at the end. It usually seems easier to hold onto such things and not let go, rather than face up to them. And yet it's such freedom to get rid of them

  • What was in the Box?! Great Band! Hated that they broke up though.

  • Not sure u would have 2 ask them.

  • i wonder that also. also, whose that creepy old lady?

  • ........DC TALK........

  • this song was n the radio so much in the mid 90's for the longest time i didn't know it was a christian pop group

  • pierre2vil3 brother lol 0:25

  • thanks for anwsering my question, i was just confused about the box and stuff.

  • what does this music video even mean?

  • it refers to a verse in the Bible. In a book called the Psalms. It tells us not to let the sun go down over our anger. I hope this clears things a bit more for you.

  • i agree with denolaj. I also think means that they are sorry for watever they did wrong and they need to to talk...just between them. lol

  • WHY did they cut the bridge out of the song?? I've got the CD in my car. Guess I'll hve to play it until it leaks out my ears to get it right in my head.

  • its not selling out cause they changed the lyrics around so it would be radio friendly, its more like a remix, selling out would be more like completely going into secular music, the song still worships God so the point is still the same. still i do like the original version better.

  • wow the original is awesome! relient k did a good job covering it!

  • I've been wresting with my conscience and I find myself to blame...............

  • This song never gets old! I love it.

  • This was first song I heard by dc Talk when I was about 9 or 10 and have been a fan ever since!

  • I do love this song... not really a fan of Christian music, but this song is amazing!

  • hey thats weird is there something wrong with the syching it seems kinda off....

  • TOP SHELF

  • Awesome Song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ya, I love the video but I love the song more! thank you Jesus!

  • what was in the box?

  • his concious....his past.....stuff that is holding him back from his freedom in Christ.

  • I feel like that guy with the box.

  • who cares if its old its a great song

  • yes amen indigohippiechic me too

  • I luv dc talk...Even though this song is so old LOL

  • over and over I listen to this song--it reminds me of my unresolved argument with my grandfather before he passed on the 23rd of March--we didn't speak for 17 years. I hope now that he has passed he has forgiven me finally.

  • estas canciones me hacen recordar a mis hermanos Henry, Norma, Normita y a todos los amigos de la iglesia... como extraño aquellos dias aunque no eran faciles. Les amooooo

  • When I first got saved, I probably listened to this song 10 times a day for 8 months.

  • fave GROUP

  • hey guys chill out. the bible says to love our enemies no matter what. the more they hate you and god, the more you want to keep loving them. of course that is something we all have to learn because we fall easily but we can not get off our knees without gods help.

  • Spoken like a true Jesus Freak... im proud to be one as well. sometimes we need to teach other Christians as well as people who dont believe... oh and i said Jesus Freak because of one of DC Talks songs... called Jesus Freak... good song by the way...keep spreading the word, to everyone, Christians and all. Love thine enemy as thy would thyself. i think i got that correct... God Bless :D

  • ihaveabentleyson - i dont know who you are talking to, but how do you expect someone to turn to God after being called a faggot by someone who claims to follow God?

  • True true... why would anyone turn to a God that has followers that cuss at the non-believers... c'mon people show some maturity, show them we can be better than calling people derogatory names. speak for God, not against non-believers... God Bless

  • true true, regretably falling into temptation i have made God look a bit bad sometimes.. but yo.. we need to not do that!!! Need to represent good for CHRIST! AMEN!

  • this song was a big hit!

  • you will regret saying that my friend!

    God bless

  • your choice, your opinion

  • Acknowledge,Confess,Repent,Be Born Again...Cool

  • lets pray more each day to our Lord and Savior, no greater joy than to be in fellowship with him!! amen!
