  • Excellent. Perhaps the last best Carry On. After 1970 they rapidly went downhill, only Convenience, Matron and Abroad are much good after this.

  • 0:55 XD

  • Terry Scott's finest performance, always thought he was underrated and in this movie he shines as the perfect example of the frustrated husband with the annoying wife, hilarious and one of the best Carry On's, never get tired of watching it.

  • The part when this chap regains control of his life, holiday and marriage later on in this film is the most satisfying, brilliant and stress relieving film moments ever!

    I love Carry-on.

  • She has the best laugh ever!

  • Harry Potters dad if you didn't know... :) great acting of a hen-pecked husband, did it perfectly... :)

  • IT'S BRILLIANT - SHE IS SO OBLIVIOUS TOWARDS WHAT PETER IS SAYING HE HAS DONE AND WHERE HIS BEEN!!!

  • Great film why can't we produce such good stuff today?

  • Carry on.. classics, all of them. What does the gay tour entail I wonder at 0:18?

  • ''his wife was ravished by a wild haggis and now their expecting a little faggot'' ROFLMAO

  • Ah, the fantastic Betty Marsden. Otherwise known as Dame Celia Molestrangler from the hilarious Round the Horne radio show.

  • the gay brochure lol

  • love her bless her she dont listen to a dam thing he says magic love the laugh magic

  • That womans laugh is very annoying , if i was acting with her i would slap her! thats how annoying it is.

Terry scott is an amazing actor! :)

  • I frequently think Richard and Hyacinth Bucket were based on the Potters. There are many similarities. The scene when they are standing in front of the house and Peter puts his boller hat back in the house and Harriet waves at the neighbor especially reminds me of Richard and Hyacinth.

  • The rolling of the eyes Peter gives is classic and represents how long he's put up with his insufferable wife.

  • This is a classic Carry On scene. Brilliant writing and hilarious performances. "A chap brought round a pound of opium, we smoked it, and spent the afternoon in a harem!!!" Just brilliant - and that laugh!!!

  • peter:"yes we had nothing to write to your mother on"

  • GOD, i love that woman

  • What a great comic device, the overbearing or controlling wife and her downtrodden husband who eventually finds his manhood and takes control away from his wife. You see it quite often in British films and television.

  • my stepdad is just like her you could say to him anything you wanted and he would still remain oblivious and say something the exact opposite

  • brilliant stuff from a bygone era,,,,,,,,it it was made these days the P.C. loonies would insist on every fourth actor being black of course.

  • hahaha love it!!!

  • my sister has her funny laugh down to a tee!! haha

  • can your sister do that laugh and post it on youtube, it hilarious.

  • youll have to get a vid of her lol

  • Love these films. I used to work beside a gorgeous looking girl who laughed like that. Her only flaw! Terry Scott is a scream. There will never be another team like the Carry On gang.

  • my sister can do her laugh spot on! haha

  • I love this movie!

  • Gaytours (0:18)!

    Well, it was 1969...

  • @videoclog you get the impression the writers knew exactly what they were doing

  • i love her laugh.

  • This is on the telly right now and i'm watching it in the background ! i loveeeeeeee Harriets laugh :-)

  • yeah, me too, I keep seeing the clips I uploaded

  • i love the carry ons that is the funniest laugh i`ve ever heard, i think she was called betty marsden, sadly underused in the carry ons in my opinion.

  • She was my grandmother (and yes her name was Betty Marsden) I have to say her real laugh wasn't like that thank goodness!! (although not terribly far off..)

  • So the lady who did the laugh was your grandmother? Great! She is one of my favourite characters in Carry on Camping!

  • Only just seen your comment - yep she was..passed away 10 years ago now. She was pretty wonderful..

  • her laugh was brilliant. me and my mates always resort to trying to do it when we've had a few beers. she was sadly underused, but her memory lives on most friday nights. :-)

  • I would love to hear you! How is it done? She sounds like a donkey on nitrous oxide.

  • lol

  • I love a woman with a beautiful laugh!

  • me too, Terry Scott was a genius

  • Love this scene
