For anyone interested Bligh's grave is in St Mary Churchyard, Lambeth, London (where he is interred with his wife Elizabeth). I made a pilgrimage to Lambeth last year, and remembering what Bligh might have said, kept a stiff upper lip.

Bligh's house at 100 Lambeth Road has railings outside the garden decorated with . . Breadfruit!

@666rob666zombie666 He has already done a cover of that. Check his channel. I've got it on a CD I got from him a year or so ago. His really deep cuts aren't generally published for public consumption. But you should hear some of them. Really good stuff. The man is definitely talented. He is also a very nice person.

great Vangelis song, it's a pity that we loose a bit the magical aspect of the song, because it's played too quickly, a tempo problem in fact with crying sound on the beginning. I think with so much instruments, it's possible to improve it. but it's also a good performance and not easy to play that it looks like.

I totally agree with that. I for instance do own a JD-990 with the vintage expansion card. It has the waveforms sampled from the CS80 :-D . You just need the spirit and listen a LOT to Vangelis, trying to get emotianal and stuff helps :-).

@Gizmoriderful Hi there and thanks:) The Juno G...it is a great sound library, the pianos and other acoustic instruments are superb, the price tag is heavy but you do get the phantom sound engine and a huge library of stuff you think you never need but when you do its there.. The downside is an un-necessary song recorder which I never use,but overall a wonderful tool to have in the box:)

As you know anyone that tries to perform Vangelis music look like fake in your ears because Vangelis performance is unique. I have my own studio too but I spend my energy to compose not to perform others. Playing like others feel good but compose your own music feels great!

Vangelis was never a great performer. I have heard several of its improvisations , it far from top quality. I do not see why anyone will have a hard time to copy Vangelis. There is nothing complex in Vangelis music.

Vangelis however is probably one of the best composers on this planet. His style is rather simplistic but his compositional skill is one of the greatest there is. He can take simple melodies and sound and makes an amazing piece and this is his true talent.

Thankyou , but I have to disagree!! Nothing, and I mean nothing can replace the roland VP330 string ensemble from the original track. The Juno G did a pretty good job of it, but doesn't have the lush sound of the original. But thankyou for the encouraging comment!

Yes the original VP vocoder / string synth he used was so lush! I was wondering how you get your videos to sound so great. I am using the Mic on my camcorder and the sound is thin an you cant hear any of my reverb effects and everything sounds so flat and mono. Are you just running your main mix through compression and running audio to your cameras input or are you adding audio seperately?

Vangleis or EVANGELLOS is a greek name. It is the addition of two words EV and ANGELLOS (or ANGEL in English. Ev mean good while ANGELOS mean messenger . So EVANGELLOS or Vangleis mean the messenger of good news. There is no better news than the music of Vangelis,
