  • one thing that you said about not using the clutch to brake. i just got my dirtbike 4 days ago and i stall when i dont pull in the clutch and rev my motor when braking. that or im locking up my back brake and thats whats killing the motor. any advice on keeping out of that habbit?

  • @ALLERTORLOVER69 You are prolly going a little too slow, or you are using too low a gear. If you click it up a gear, you wont get as much engine braking and the momentum of your rear wheel turning will keep the motor running. Its fairly common to have this problem, especially when learning, and with 4 stroke motors (which Im guessing you have). If you are locking the rear when braking, you are obviously just giving it too much pedal. Try a little less rear, and a little more front :)

  • @ALLERTORLOVER69 If you lock up the rear wheel without clutching its gonna kill it. Brake easier, and controllll the pedal. Don't just mash it down quick. Also, if you have a 2 stroke, its probably going to be alot easier to kill the engine without clutching compared to a four stroke. This guys riding a 4. But 2 strokes rule :).
