  • You guys call yourselves DeCarlo/Madura fans? Joy In Old Age By Way Of Self Observation was a tune off of the first Madura album!! "When we are old, they'll come to see us, looking like you, and acting like me"!

  • This is not "Joy" of anything by Self Observation" because his "Self" is not observing. You are. So it must be your joy, watching him "sleep". I spoke with him tonight. You know, we all wish he had been to us what we wanted, but he is exactly who he is -and if you don't appreciate that, well then you don't know him well enough. Please consider taking this off. It is neither Joy nor "Self-Observation". Bad Taste.

  • Is there really a full-length doc? It's been 15 months since this clip went up, and I can't find it anywhere.

  • "Joy In Old Age"??? Sheez! Al couldn't've been more than 64 when this clip went up. Com'on man! : We aren't old yet; many of of us still have living parents..cut us some slack for 6 years or so before we get that 'old age' subtitle.

  • More. I want to see (and hear) more.

For years I stood at the foot of the stages where Bangor Flying Circus and Madura played - in total AWE of the talent that I was able to experience. They most probably do not remember me but I remember them - especially when they rehearsed at The Mother Duck/Spectrum on North Ave and Swift Rd. Al even borrowed a guitar of mine (Vox Phantom XII) for 'Concerto Four Clouds' on the BFC album. Don't know if they used it on the recording, though.

    MORE!!!

  • Nice to see someone telling the story of my cousin's amazing life. Always was a hero to those of us who love him. Sad that seeing him on video is the first time I've seen him since my Dad died in 1985! Looking forward to the whole project. Thanks!

  • Alan Decarlo Rock's Old School an Old Fan from back in the day hope to see the come back Album.

  • They were wonderful guys! Very fun loving. Very serious about their music! I miss them very much. Hopefully we'll meet again someday!

  • Seems extremely interesting! Great looking footage of the Madura times. I've been a fan for about 20 years when I first saw Electra Glide in Blue and the band performing Free From The Devil just blew me away! Really looking forward to the documentary, hope it comes out soon! Cheers.
