  • HOT DAMN MY WRIST HURTS! I CAN'T STOP!!!!!!!

  • My improv on this backing track garnered intense amounts of applause and adulation from the audience of the popular, dark, alcohol-sodden club that exists in my mind. This is propulsive!

  • @mahajohn The audience asks me to play this again and again, no matter how repetitive I play! It's amazing.

  • Beautiful vibe, all I could think was an upbeat Riders on the Storm, thanks so much for this

    They just came to me.

    I had an epiphany !

Finally, after 14 years of playing, it makes sense to me

  • @flandrian15 It's because Vai was there in spirit with you. He came through your computer and entered you. You've just entered..... the Vai Zone.

  • awesome backing track, love the Cm blues! thanks for uploading it

  • you can use so many styles for this

  • this is fuckin GREAT ...i sound like BB king !!!=D....still not as good though =(

  • omg at exactly 5:30 i did the perfect blues turnaround

  • isn't that gibsonulli's backing track??

  • @smartwood11 That is impossible, his was posted in January 2011, this was posted in May 2010...

  • @RetardedGuitarGuy aha.. his was reposted in January 2011 because he created a new channel.. but the original is older.

  • @cwhitsy - G minor works too, especially if the v chord is a Gm9 - emphasizing the A; other scales that seem to work F dorian, G phrygian, as well as Eb major over the Cm7 and Bb mixolydian over the Gm five chord. But, keeping it simple and straightforward, both G pentatonic minor and C pentatonic minor work really well as both scales have notes common to both keys. The only difference between the two keys is A in one is an Ab in the other. Definitely a good sounding track!

  • @resmoore I agree. generally just playing around with minor modes. P.S. the 9 is the sweetest note ever!!

  • @resmoore try making a one of the common tones so your playing dorian on the cmin part the Ab is a great passing tone

  • @resmoore Are you able to explain this a bit clearer to the idiots out here? I get the C and Gmin Pentatonic part but the Dorian and other modes mean little to me other than Dorian I believe starts on the 2nd note of a scale. Thanks.

  • @maccagrabme If you don't understand modes yet just think that Dorian is the minor pentatonic, but add in the 6th and the 9th.

justinguitar explains it really well in his Blues Lead lessons - they're all on youtube.

  • that was the best I've ever played. ever.

  • @IrishLebaneseBeast its easy to think that when ur high

  • @IrishLebaneseBeast hahah me too man! I love these

  • I can't fail now... Steve Vai is watching.

  • @DistortedV12 HE IS ALWAYS WATCHING :D

  • @DistortedV12 lol

  • @DistortedV12 not to worry. He knows precious little about the blues

  • @DistortedV12 :O I KNOW!!!!!

  • Are you sure this is C minor? I'm hearing G minor... Smooth track though!

  • Sweet track. Thanks for a great backup to my lead guitar practice. Very inspirational!

  • You shouldn't have put Steve Vai's picture here, I abuse my whammy bar too much because of this.

  • what fret should i try this in????n00b desu... little helpよろしく.

  • @BlkUnk try c dorian

  • @BlkUnk Roku genn no 8 fret kara dorian matawa pentatonic. Sore dakede jyuubunndesu! Ato wa tamashii wo komete!!!!!!!! Good luck! Just remember start from 8 fret on the 6th string. Dorian or pentatonic. Are you American or Japanese? I'm confused, haha.

  • @BlkUnk lots of frets, any interesting notes in the c minor scale, just look up "c minor scale for guitar" and see what u can come up with =)

  • my god this track is beautiful.. jazz blues fusion soooooooo cool =D i'm definetely makin a improv of this on my guitar on keyboard =)

  • Awesome feeling track. When you just want to sit back and groove and not have a worry in the world, this is the track you solo to. I love how it doesn't force the 5th either. You can play with a major or minor 5th and know it isn't going to hurt the backing track.

  • Great feel. Very well done I love the groove.

  • Great track!

  • Thank you so much for this =)

  • Thanks so much for all your backing tracks. Love soloing over them. Please keep it up!!!

  • dont know the C minor scale, yet. but this track is so great, only listening to it is awesome.
