@octacon8 No, the Hunter was a colonist named Brant Harris who killed a nurse, and Mercer inserted some of the tissue from the Corruption into his head, which caused him to mutate into this thing. We don't know who the Ubermorph was or where it came from, I think it's just supposed to be a replacement for the Hunter. There's only one Hunter, but the two are very similar.

@1214knight yes, He can just One hit kill you, I had a FULL health bar in the tank suit and he just friggin snuffed me.

@GreyTenshosama It can, but my health was at full, it struck made it yellow(still 3/4 health for I used the tank suit maxed out health) and then One hit killed me. all of that in 2 seconds, I couldn't react in time. plus I was playing in the dark during a Vacuum section. so yeah, that just f*cked with my head.

@Xineombine The health meter shouldn't be yellow until it falls below 1/2. 3/4 would still be green. In any case, yes he can take you out at yellow, but I've never seen any necro insta-kill someone at 100% health, except guardians.

The body in the left hand tank is a human corpse. May be a failed attempt to make a second Hunter.

There's a nice website called Dead Space Horror that lists each Necromorph. But the Hunter scene here is the first encounter you have. As you mention only incinerating the Hunter using the shuttle engines will kill him, so you simply flee or trap it during these early encounters.

No footage a Pregnant as they didn't try to grab Isaac. Assumed Pregnants didn't have a close melee manoeuvre. Let me know if you know different.
