  • i wonder how much material you wasted just watching it

  • 3d orgasm lol.

  • You should print a 3D printer O.o

  • Did you film this with a potato?

  • @productionsgonebad Nope, potato powered calculator

  • @xXsk8ivanXx made of lego

  • @gummel82 haha

  • I spent so much money on my printer, i had to use my cell phone to make this video.

  • but can it print paper? ;)

  • what is a 3d printer ?????

  • The printer so excited, IHTZ CAHHHHMEEEENG !!!

  • Can you print out stamped receivers?

  • invisi-cup

  • FFAAAAAAAAAAAAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • you should make random lines and see if it works

  • Why do you need such a small cup?

  • @tommyg0033 one word

barbie..... either that or you have an antique doll house and you are missing a cup ad you feel it is better to have a complet set then have a piece missing. Then again if your an antique collector you would want the authetic formk

  • why do you print things by light? if i designed the machine id put and object in a tub of powder that recognizes foreign objects. it would scan in 3d, unlike a beam of light >.>

  • would this make it possible to print 3d objects from video cames say printing a small version replica of a table from a certain game?

  • This thing is insanne. Where can I get one? haha

  • You should have printed it upside down

  • @clkbateman That would have required support material. I designed this cup to print without support in the upright position. This was just a test to see how small I could make it like that.

  • can it print itself?

  • can it makes Hentai statue?

  • At the end, that was gross. It looked like a massive whitehead being popped...

  • wait.. did he just .. print money O.O :O:O

  • Are you a design specialist and or consultant Team222?

  • @GaySingleMulatto A little of both. I don't have a college degree in engineer though. I learned all about electronics, design, robotics and machining in high school

  • @team222badbrad OIC - well done!

  • ups... :-O XD

  • Its spelt either with a Z or S and the majority of English speakers use the British system, but that is Not an excuse to ignore the irregularities across the globe

  • I'm sorry, but I thought watching the printer fail on your project was funny.

  • Unrelated to the grammar flame going on...

What happened to the wandering part of a cup that went off to the bottom-left?

Also, by "sped up two times" do you mean x2 ? Or x4 ? (x2 twice)

  • whoops

    lol

  • its been sped up TWICE you idiot yank. Correct your grammar!

  • It's been... Who is the moron now?

  • a missing apostrophe isn't as bad a a completley wrong word!

  • Maybe in your country... Google "two times" and click on the first link. write101 (dot) com

BTW if you are going to be a grammar know-it -all go back to school and learn! You can't even CAPITALIZE the first word of your sentences, spell and don't know the difference between its/it's...

Grammar is the least of my worries. If I can understand what is written that's all that matters to me... I get a kick out of people like you... HAHA

  • You spelt CAPITALISE wrong. It is an 'S' not a 'Z'!

  • Are your still in the 2nd grade? Buy an English dictionary next time you go shopping.

  • You fucking Brit. That's how we normal people spell it in America.

  • @KSIS1GM4 "Normal"? You're a fucking ignorant bigot. And that's from one American to another.

  • @ParaSwarm

    Well done. :)

It's reassuring to see that the vast minority of borderline insane people in your country (the host of this video included) aren't being allowed to misrepresent the rest of America with impunity.

  • @TheMightyKinkle

    That's what she said.

  • @TheMightyKinkle No it's not, it's a Z

  • @TheMightyKinkle I'm with you on that one. People don't understand that its the English language, NOT the American language.

  • @GeneralNitro Majority rules.

  • @team222badbrad

Hate to add to going off-topic here, but seeing as you are so determined to spout such nonsense...

... You are wrong on more levels than is worth putting the effort into addressing.

English is the product of the English, of the country of England, as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary.

    End of.

Respond how you will, it changes nothing.

  • @bbshammo You are wrong on more levels than is worth putting the effort into addressing. THEN WHY DID YOU?

It doesn't matter where English came from and I personally don't give two turds about the spelling.

Also what is it the "End of"? The end of the world over Z vs. S?

Our dictionary can fight with yours so bring it! 307 million vs. 50 million.

  • @team222badbrad

You've said more than I'll ever need to to prove my point. Thanks :)

  • @bbshammo Your welcome glad I can help!

  • @bbshammo

English is for a majority a product of the french language.

  • @XenonSCRB

    Wrong.

If you are going to make a pointless statement, at least get it right.

English is indeed an amalgamation of many languages, once put as a "mongrel" language by a famous comedian, but of all the languages it's made up of, French is NOT the main. It's mainly influenced by Latin and Germanic. French is of course heavily Latin-based, which may be why you jumped to that conclusion.

  • @XenonSCRB

    /wrong

product my ass. It has words with french origins, however

    English is Germanic based

    en. wikipedia . org/wiki/English_language

"English is a West Germanic language that arose in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of England and spread into what was to become south-east Scotland "

  • @TheNanjin but only 1/4 of words are truly Germanic in origin.

  • @XenonSCRB

Since your such an expert I would expect at the least a proper sentence, moron!

  • Thankyou

  • This is an FDM machine.

I've got tons of other 3d printing videos.

  • how long is that strip getting!

  • so one of my proffesors has one of these, can you print out clear plastic with one. and could it make a case for an mp3 player, camera, etc...

  • @livininfast4ward i do belive you can as long as u order a new material cartridge im unsure of the model but u may be able to get different colors

  • WTF! how'd you get a cup, the video clearly presented the cup being demolished by that printer

  • Watch my other video "Rapid Prototyping Right Before Your Eyes!"

  • Blander is a lot better for more 'artistic' applications. Useful with this kind of thing, but these machines seem to cater far better to the technical machining/CAD fields. Something like the free versions of Alibre CAD or Delcam software would be a far better application to do rapid proto work in my opinion. But I still love Solidworks and NX.

  • People with the money to invest in this sort of technology could make a LOT of money back on the investment if they had a bunch of these 3D printers and created some easy to use 3D designing freeware to go along with them so that anyone could design whatever they want and then pay the company to print it out for them. I'm guessing this kind of technology will take off in a very big way in the future.

  • Blender?

  • huh?

  • blender is a easy way of 3d designing. And its opensource.

  • Well that's cool. Is it associated with a company factory that'll print it out in 3D? Cuz that's what I was really thinking about. But I'll have to download Blender. Thanks for the tip!

  • Wonder if I could print a 500,000 polygon Zsculpt with fine details??? Probably with the new Zbrush plugins, but I bet it'd cost a fortune to do huh?

  • If you send me a file I will get you a quote.

    Price varies with size.

  • Dang, I need a part 18.5x18.5... Any chance that you are going to get a larger machine anytime soon? Do any vac or thermo forming?

  • Biggest bed I have is 10x10 inches.

No larger machine in the works yet.

3d printing is pretty much all I do right now. :-)

  • what 3D-printer do you using?

  • wow thats pretty cool to watch :P but is it possible to use the wasted plastic again? like, re-melt it or something?

  • depends on what type of plastic is involved and what other substances's are used. thermosrtting plassyics when heat just burn and can not be re-used where as a thermo plasic can be heated and it will melt allowing it to be re-used. it all too do with the structure of the plastic and the bonds between the molecules.

  • there shouldn't be an apostrophe in the "it's" in the title

  • Grammar only matters when the reader can't interpret it, I guess I shouldn't mention the sentence you tried to write is missing a capital T and a punctuation mark!

  • of course, there is also the fact that Weyyyyyy is wrong, "its" is the possessive form, "it's" is a contraction of it is or it has

  • I think we call all agree that the English language has flaws...

  • No, your English has flaws, and he's definitely correct.

Also, I'd recommend some Nasonex or some Breathe-Right strips.

  • Never said he wasn't correct... I fixed the title already.

The world isn't going to end over an apostrophe.

  • C'mon now! Don't give in to the grammar Nazis.

  • strength is too small for the middle part with small diameter.

  • how much did it cost to make one small cup like that?

  • Can you reuse the plastic? That'd be cool.

  • can't you cancel the printing when something goes wrong?

  • Yes you can.

  • why didnt you? you could have saved all that plastic.

  • is this possible if you add support plastic? (that stuff that can "melt" away in hot water)

  • cups are nice but can you make a copy of Penelope Cruz for me 2? haha just kidding

  • what a waste of that stuff

  • I'm not sure what you think I wasted, but anyways...

    This was an experiment...

  • i meant all the stuff coming out of the 3d printer, but i still dont know how it works?

  • Please see my channel. I have many 3d printing videos.

  • can it print legos?

  • Yes it can

  • @alpharaptor1 yes, but you have to buy the $15k machine first lol. cheaper to buy the legos

  • @alpharaptor1 you probably could, but you might need the 4th dimension for the bottom and/or inside of it.

  • @jbdimonda Nope. All you need to do is 3D model it. You can make pretty much anything as long as it fits inside the print volume and the part features meet the minimum feature size.

  • @alpharaptor1 WHY NOT JUST PRINT THE FINISHED LEGO MODEL SO COMPUTER BUILDS AND YOU DRINK LEMONADE.

  • oh but can this one print too? like make it's texture and everything?

  • Please send me your dimensions so I can test myself to my limits.

  • Oh the choices, to be an intelligent nerd, being able to print objects in three dimensions or to be a brainless oaf criticizing the amazing accomplishments of others?

    I choose the former.

  • What plastic is used for make the prototypes? PE? PS? PVC?... Can you change the kind of polimer?

  • The dimension series only can print ABS plastic.

  • this is cool, but whats the glowing orange thing that looks like a string?

  • That is the plastic being extruded.

It looks glowing orange from the lights, but it is actually white.

I have a bunch of other videos on 3d printing on my channel page.

  • Guys, this is the future.

"If you know what a dremel tool is, you are probably one of my subscribers" - The Fabricator

  • This doesn't look like a 3d printer...it looks like an FDM machine

  • You are correct it is an FDM printer. Generally I say 3D printer because most people don't understand FDM or Fused Deposition Modeling. There are many types of rapid prototyping machines, but the rapid prototyping name is not very good. These machines have many other uses. Here are a few abbreviations for different types of these machines: FDM, LOM, 3DP, SLA, and SLS Google them and you will find lots of info.

  • we are still for from fabricating our own personal designed cips..

  • Not sure what you mean?

  • so this 3d printer cant print in much smaller size rite?

but the model that u tested is quite small enough to prove this machine can do pretty much everything..

  • The printer prints in layers of .01" of an inch.

A hair is roughly .002 to .004" inches in diameter.

As I stated in the video the minimum recommended floor and wall thickness of parts sent to the printer should be .04"

Anything smaller than this will not be printed or will be to weak.

This cup is 1 inch tall and is made up of 100 .01" layers.

  • you can print at .01 reliably if you don't design retarded objects that are geometrically weak

  • First of all I designed this part to test the printer and that is just what it did.

Secondly I could change the support structure to "surround" the part and it would print just fine.

    Third

    Not in my experience.

I have printed a wall thickness as thin as .02"

The part wall did not print when I had it oriented in the machine one way, but printed successfully another way. It was still very weak and fragile.
