he plays like an average cover band guitarist with little-to-no hope of doing something memorable. He doesn't even use his little finger when he's doing those inept and repetitious solos. If he hadn't been in the Doors he would be the most forgettable guitArist the world had ever known. His phrasing sucks, his left hand sucks and most of all his whole sound sucks. I love the doors - but whenever I hear Robbie doing his 'widdling' thing I want to to the sounds off.

@broncoshite80 Mate... do you know what a guitar is? Its not the tiny little thing that hangs between your legs (and which Krieger might be capable of playing reasonably well). No, a guitar is a (usually) six stringed musical instrument that can be hung round your neck or placed in your lap to play. And Krieger would have to take a great number of lessons and practice very hard to become even an average player if what he does in the solo in this vid can be called 'Krieger on Fire'.

Remind of what Krieger has put out since the Doors. The Doors actually didn't fold when Jim died. They thought they could carry on by sharing out the vocals between Krieger and Manzarak. They thought people would still be into the Doors and come to their shows.

They were wrong. The Doors finally folded 18 months later.

Morrison was the Doors - with help from Manzarek. It would have been great if they'd had a decent guitarist.

@xandrewbrown Krieger and Manzarak weren't lead singers and although they could sing a little bit they were definitely not at the same caliber as a Jim Morrison who had a great unique voice. You could say that about most bands that lost their singer - think of Freddie Mercury of Queen, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, etc. These guys are irreplaceable and singers with a unique voice aren't made, they're born with that voice. Krieger wrote alot of the Doors biggest hits and signature guitar riffs.

dude I meet the actual band with autographs and the whole thing down here in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on Oct. 5 2007. it was the bomb seriously.

on oct 5, 2007 in juarez, mexico I met the whole band at the hotel they stayed at and yes I got autographs from all of them on a shirt. I also recorded the whole concert on my camera and got a one hour interview with phil chen while he sipped on his wine
