As soon as a goalie sees a shooter bend over like that, he should just charge out toward the stick. It would be a save every time rather than just standing there like a statue
Ohh sports center your such a bad place for hockey information of course every NHL AHL echl chl khl and every other league of importance all the players could do that and thinking it's so amazing and then putting it second to what probably was a 7 foot many putting a ball in a basket is a fucking disgrace
That kid played in my league back then. A couple days later we played his team and he tried to do that move in the game...He didnt score cuz i slashed his stick.
Dood! Hockey players are getting better everyday! I cant even doo that(Although I just play shinny)! He seems soo calm and cool when he did it also which is hard to find sometimes.
You know why NHL players can't do that? Simple, They don't waste there time with moves that are useless. I am not saying that because im jealous. Only saying it because its the truth.
@TheXtreme150 Uhh, that's a lie. Pretty much, 90% of them can NOT do this. Just because you saw 4 or 5 of the best of the best try it during the skills competition doesn't mean all of them can.
@5doolla obviously u havnt played with him lately because i have gone to hockey camps and iv played against him to.....hes got one of the best hands in 98 level
its only amazing to people that dont know hockey which is why it was on espn they dont give a shit about hockey or any sport other than football baseball and basketball. baseball is the worst and most boring sport ever made by the way
An nhl player wouldn't do this it's called respect. If any player did do this he would get it next shift. From what i can tell nhl players even enforcers can make moves. That they don't normally do during the game. unless your pavel datsyuk.
what are they teaching 9 year olds now a days? this is the second one ive seen do this trick. when i was nine i was learning how to color inside the lines!
NOt hating or anything, but honestly this move is not that hard..i can do it easily..i bet the majority of nhl players can do this with a clean sheet of ice and a lower flexed stickk...
i can do that, if u practice its not hard at all, i knew an 8 year old that could do it, and i can do it now, it's not hard at all if u try it a couple times, get the feel of it, then work on it for a while
He had to perfect this. his dad beat him if he didnt do it right. he put a shock collar on his waist controlled by a remote so every time he fails he gets a shock. Nah. amazing shot good work
@ThaKidLid ive played 3 for an OHL team, i know its not the same but same basic thing and i scored 4 goals. his move is hard to do, and im pretty sure u didn't pull one of them when u played.
o give the damn kid some credit. thats a hell of a move and it takes a hell of a lot of skill to pull it off. and there are nhlers who cant do that. u never will either.
@HockeyFan7374 lol, it just requires clean ice/blade, and the right curve ( i can do it easiest with iginala's or malkin's) atfer you get that its just a motion.
I could do this since i was twelve, and 50% of the time mine go bardown cause its the same everytime.
Im sure every NHL player could do this if they used the right curve.
its funny how this kid did it two years ago, and he just got this little vid, but the kid who did it this year (same age) got a bunch of interviews and shit. wow.
haha wow everyone is getting so angry that the commentator said NHL players can't do that. He was just messing around trying to give the kid some credit
thats really good dont get me wrong especially since this kid is only nine but there are alot of kids on our high school team that can do it, it's pretty common
'nhl players can't do this' that's because they know it's stupid because if you miss, it can cost you the game. shooting or a less spectacular deke is more effective and less risky

HAHA nice joke. People that are in atom should be able to skate. Dumbass, any 9 year old around here can do that. It's not a big deal and that kid is nothing special. Again, his skating is weak, I can already see that. People who don't know jackshit about hockey, especially youth hockey development may be impressed but I'm not. Teach that kid how to play the game, not how to showboat.
how can you tell that his skating is bad? first of all to be able to that in full speed needs very good balance and skating skill. post your 9 year old kid doing this same or yourself if it is so damn easy...
I'm 10 and I can do it also it's preatty easy once you get it. It took me a month to figure it out on both ice and roller

Yeah, I saw this video before, and then on Yahoo news I saw another kid. I'm not sure what's going on. Both did the shot really good though.
