A new one spawns whenever you kill a Gekko, though the new ones are the MG equipped ones.

Screw the stupid rail gun, you know that massive sniper rifle that johnny/akiba has? Well, I dont remember what i'ts called, but one headshot to a gekko with it, and you've got yourself a downed gekko, go on, try it, now!

Charge up the Rail Gun to full charge and aim for the body. Those Three handed balls are the ones that piss me off. Thats why I allways have the bandanna and the chaffs for those things.

I thought it was impossible at first because we didn't have as powerful firepower as we get later in the game. But I was bored one time and shot it from the 2nd floor and that's when I learned it's weak spot. Now everytime I play a new game I make sure to kill at least 2 gekkos before moving on.

you can tell where to shoot by looking in night vision with the solid eye(they are red dots).you can also use the rail gun you get from crying wolf(use one fully charged shot).
