  • music that change my life when I heard it for the first time

  • you kids will NEVER know what exciting times were like This music changed the whole world!

So try to understand why your mom and dad hate that fuckin rap!

  • @bigfootshoottokill And Im sure their parents hated Rock and Roll, and that their parents hated jazz etc. Just let people listen to what they want.

  • Keith Relf I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! screeemmmm!

  • For the record, it's Jeff Beck in the video miming to Eric Clapton's playing on the actual record. This was the final single EC recorded with the band, before departing in '65. Apparently, he didn't care for the more "pop" direction in which the group was headed. Still awesome though.

  • Wow!

  • Keith Relf is the lead singer here..wearing the SHADES...he died in 1976 at age 33 of electrocuting himself with an improperly grounded electric guitar.....

  • "Rahter akin to " SHUT YOUR FUCKING CAKEhoLES...that's what STARTED THIS.

STICK A !) INCH WIDE IN IT.

  • Hey..guitar dude looks like Jeff Beck..and guitar dude they didnt show probably looks like Jimmy Page...curiouser and curiouser...

  • @AntsAunty I'm sure there's an explanation for that.

  • @AntsAunty That's because IT IS Jeff Beck! ...geez, i thought everyone knew that!

  • breathtakingly great!

  • hip hop is fake music

  • @smokiebird06 Some of its good. You're just biased.

  • Hey Tom Petty's older brother

  • @The33unicorns Also looks like David St. Hubbins, co-founder of the loudest band in the world, Spinal Tap.

  • ha 2 people have brain tumors!

  • Nothin' like the Yardbirds...

  • awesome - thanks xxx

  • Liam Gallagher? :D

  • for those of you who cant wrap your head aroun jimmy page being a yardbird, zep was originally recorded as "THE NEW YARDBIRDS" the original master reel to reel from led zep I still says it. the zep name came just before the release.

  • @murfdasurfer hater

  • Jimmy Page couldn't picture him from this too Led Zeppelin

  • @RockabillyForever15 led zeppelins first album was actually recorded as the new yardbirds on the original reel to real master it still says "the new yardbirds"

  • if that isn't a instantly recognizable chord I'll eat my hat. a classic.

  • what the fuck's a shindig? im really just curious

  • @Adarvuli a party............. in his pants?????

  • @Adarvuli "Shindig," along with "Hullabaloo" were what we had in the 60s instead of MTV. They were competing musical variety shows dedicated to the "new" rock music of the day. They had all the bands from the original "British Invasion," & their American counterparts, & "Go Go Dancers" & other people who were supposed to be "hip"; most of whom were pretty lame, & if you wanted to see the "Yardbirds" or the "Stones," you had to first suffer through "Freddy & the Dreamers" & "Herman's Hermits."

  • Boston George right there!

  • WTF is up with the MoFo wearing the fucking sunglasses?!

  • Clapton left the group in May 1965 to join John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers.

Clapton recommended Page who recommended Beck.

It was lightning in a bottle because the Yardbirds broke up in 1968.

  • Comment removed

  • Jeff Beck looks so cute!

  • Yeeees---I really love this track and the band. They occupied a large part of my youth. At that time it was very cool to "dig" a totally unknown band. My unknown fav:s in the mid 60s was THE ZETTLERS. Check up their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". ------ Baby baby I can´t control myself!!!!

  • robert plant was in the yardbirds :D

  • @violentJ678 no he wasnt.

  • Really guys? talking about justin bieber on this vid? gotta be kidding me.

  • I still can't believe Keith Relf is gone.

  • different generations can claim to be the this and that, but hey we were for sure the coolest! lol ! no doubt! lol ! listen to the music we had! this song is truly timeless! it will always be great!

  • @bradyhastings I wroet this before - but it holds true - It is amazing how good music came out of this era (especially the British taking American rock & roll and recreating it into something better) and how these songs still sound fresh and not dated.

  • Back in 1965 cool! That's the year when i was born

  • The early days of Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page :)

  • 60+ and proud!!!!!

  • I feel like they're trying to tell us something... just don't know what yet.

  • FO' YO' LO'!!!!

  • i am proud to d=say that my father was a hippy and will always be in heaven. he passed away almost 3 years this coming oct.25th....

  • That's some masterful bongo playing right there.

  • the singer looks like "boston george" (Jhonny Depp) in Blow

  • The resemblance between Keith Relf and Brian Jones is amazing.

  • The Yardbirds - For Your Love I just found how to play this song the right way . it is not open like the world plays it. Thank Jeff Beck.

  • imagine if led zep stayed with the new yard birds??????

  • steven hamilton!

  • Can anyone explain how come such incredible bands sprung up in England in the '60s? The Animals, Kinks, Yardbirds, Cream?

  • @detoxbvigilant52 Yes I can explain......see detox only in America because of our freedom could jazz and the blues have ever existed. But after many decades of this art form Americans sort of took it for granted. In England however, they could not believe their ears! WW2 was over and music from US flowed to England in the 50's. It was so new to them, they loved it! The British invasion was mearly the English kids advancing the blues they heard from America.

  • @detoxbvigilant52 Blacks.

  • @detoxbvigilant52 I think it was due to the influence of American Blues artists touring England in the 50's. The first was Big Bill Broonzy, who visited in the mid-1950s, rather than his electric Chicago blues, played a folk blues set to fit in with British expectations of American blues. Also the visit of Muddy Waters in 1958, initially shocked British audiences playing amplified electric blues, soon playing to ecstatic crowds and rave reviews.

  • @detoxbvigilant52 The kids who would be the musicians of the 60's were cutting their teeth on these blues acts of the 50's. Wikipedia has a lot more under the heading "British Blues"

  • i'm not surprised at all that young people are looking back to the 60's or 70's for good music. Todays music is good if you like to dance or go clubbing, but if you are looking for soul you have to turn back the page of time...

  • Jeff Beck was so cool. Much cooler than that other guy.

  • Bill Hader on guitar. 1:58

  • @andreano1614 HAHAHAHA

  • cool.

  • lip-syncing classic.

  • waaa jummy page so lovely :B

  • esta si es mi rolaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

  • first time i heard this i was 7 yrs old i knew then this is what i wanted in a man.......yardbirds are one of my kind

  • anyone without sunglasses is high

  • Just love all these tunes , thanx 2 utube for bringing all these great tunes back 4 us 2 enjoy .

  • wow, this song was out in the year I was born!!! and always loved it!

  • "for your love" was written by the geezer from 10CC. Magic when used in the film Goodfellas.

  • Gotta lot of love for this era.... i was born in 1987, but music transcends time.... this stuff is awesome!!

  • This song Is amazing

  • i was only 2 months old when this song came out but has been part of my minds sound track since then .lol

  • Moreover you can actually understand the lyrics for these tunes!

  • Hmmm, Vox Continental or Farfisa?

  • Shindig, American Bandstand, Boss City, Malibu you, Loyd Thaxton, Hallabaloo.....good times!

  • I was like 1 year old. These guys are great. I thought the Beatles sang this...lol

  • Nice change of pace on the arrangement, but Shindig was one step above Jr. High School proms.

  • is this the song for this vid cause wolffishfish has the same one with different music

  • i used to watch this tv show...shindig....i remember it well....

  • i am 59.....these were some very good times with music...i live in miami florida...i used to listen to this stuff on my transistor radio on wqam...with rick shaw

  • bring back 60s rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gotta get me some bongo's

  • Completely ahead of their time. At this time the Beatles were still singing "Please Please" me while these guys we shreddin' to this! fFcukn' Rocks!

  • @pucksterz12 HEY Pal the Beatles were releasing Beatles 65 Without the Beatles

there would not of been the british invasion. I know I lived then as a teenager

  • @pucksterz12 I like the Yarbirds, but you have no idea man! By 1965 the beatles had released almost half his studio albums:

    Please Please Me (1963)

    With The Beatles (1963)

    A Hard Day's Night (1964)

    Beatles for Sale (1964)

    Help! (1965)

... and in late 1965 the masterpiece RUBBER SOUL! Way beyond the early songs.

If you like the Yarbirds, I think you should listen to the Beatles too..

  • @renzoefra lol

  • I'm fourteen...one...of...my...favorite...songs. And that's saying something, I listen to a LOT of music.

  • @MusiruneProductions If you're 14 and you think you listen to a lot of music, wait until you're 24 and you'll look back and think "Wow, I didn't listen to shit."

Or maybe you will just never expand your musical interests, that's possible too lol

  • A young Jeff Beck playing the guitar of this classic!

  • It's nice to find a recording without screaming girls in the background

  • Awesome!! For anyone who doesn't know Yardbirds, listen now! Hugely significant band. Thanks for posting. Peace.

  • still love this song 40 years on

  • @stellaviolens I think the harpsichord sound is actually Jeffs 12string through a couple of pedal effects!

  • brilliant song

  • Still great watched them get cheated out of a best group competition on TV,but they just showed who was the best some beautiful blues on the "B" sides.

  • Wheres that 'kin harpsichord gone then?

  • I'm 17, an this song is SO much better than some of the shit that's around today, like Bieber.

  • @MrLlurati I don't give a shit anymore. I'm so sick of people talking about him I think I'll become a big bieber fan just to disassociate from all these people who think hating bieber is some revolutionary thought. please

  • @MrLlurati

    I was sevrenteen once.

  • "jeffmadecrack" = "tookjeffscrack"

  • you "unusual" guys are sheltered in your musical taste. I don't mean to blow your mind with disillusionment, but there's a lot of really good rap, just like there were horrible bands that played when the yardbirds did.

  • I am 20 and absolutely loving this. I love being unusual.

  • True musical Fusion, these guys were amazing

  • @amyleigh02 It is amazing how music good music came out of this era (especially the British taking American rock & roll and recreating into something better) and how these songs still sound fresh and not dated.

  • Great song Great band

  • I'm a big Yardbirds fan, but I thought the Herman's Hermits cover of this song was better.

  • Great stuff old boys!

  • jeff beck on a 12 string and singing backup

  • @skunkdad7

Except for the fact that this is not a live recording, but rather a miming, lip sync done for TV...

Eric Clapton plays guitar on the record. Jeff Beck wasn't in the group when this was recorded.

  • is that jeff beck at 1:27?

  • Grazie Vikingo per il BEAT CLUB

  • The Yardbirds are touring the US this month. I am going to the Tangiers Akron Ohio on May 23.
