I the USA doesn't offer other meat because cattle and other livestock cannot be grown and raised in Alaska, especially as far North as that. Belive it or not, but the US has offered several proposals since transporting food to the Inuit peoples is risky due to geography, they wanted to relocate the Inuits more down South. Uprooting people from their homes was obviously no solution.

Actually studies have shown that the main diet of most whales or infact krill. The only whales which eat fish as part of their main diet or toothed whales aka dolphins, sperm whales, orcas, etc. If you do find evidence that whales and dolphins don't have mercury in them please tell me. It's our job to conserve our ecosystem so that we may live! What would happen if regulations were not in place? Killing animals would be even worse then they are now. It's terrible that people can't seem to see that if our ecosystem goes then we go.
