i was told to get a size 52 because im about 5,7" and my inseam is about 30 ... i wanted to be able to do tricks like bar spins .... i want to buy thiis bike online but they sold out on the size 52 they have a 49 and a 54 what do you guys thinks?
"Locking your back legs" As opposed to your front legs? dude is an idiot. "You're able to make quicker decisions while you're going a lot faster because you can't stop as easy" Does that make any sense at all!?! I've seen shitty sales technique before but this is straight bullshit. Must be his first day working. It's sad that SE was once a high quality BMX brand and now it just represents hipster SHIT!
I've been riding fixed gear for three weeks and I feel like I know more than this guy. He seems to just pull answers out of his ass when asked on the spot. Apparently bar spins are all this bike is good for.
This is not the best entry level fixed gear around. It is actually HEAVY, S.E. makes some nice fixed gear bikes, I own a S.E. lager much lighter, much better components, I wouldnt trade it for the world. Happy riding.
Nice looking bike but can you really stop this if you're flying down a hill and your foot comes off the pedal?
I like the idea of singlespeed but need to try a few more. They seem to be an excuse for bike companies to rip people off. I mean isn't this just hi-tensile steel, no brakes and no gears and it's still $360.
@andrewjwarren03 When he posted the comment they had the full range of sizes for that price. Actually ordered one myself with a reasonable shipping fee to the uk, was still a bargain. Cancelled order in the end and bought a mates fixed instead, interesting stuff huh :p
well, not for most adults maybe, but for a jr.higher who wants a bike that can haul ass its totally worth it ...its lightweight ,easy to ride and easy to work on ................and at $310 for the regular draft its a steal too!
who ever said the point of riding a bike was about "fast cycling"? And just because you CAN do tricks on a fixed gear (I could argue that you could do tricks on any other bike, too) doesn't mean you have to.
for the common starting rider which this bike appeals to this is considered a track frame. may not have exact track geometry but it does have the shorter wheel base to make it feel like a track frame rather than a road frame.

gooseneck.

a fixed gear is all on the legs and you have to continue pedaling and single speed you can coast without pedaling?

Just got this bike from JensonUSA for $179. The bike is ok. But then again for 179 you can't complain.

@vflores123 On that site the only size option for that bike is 49cm. Isn't that a bit small?

is it ok to do various tricks on these kinds of bikes?
grafferigm 2 years ago
yeah for $350 it's not bad. But you'll probably get sick of it after 6 months and want something nicer. But that almost always happens

SE's a joke.
CorniliousHatsoff 2 years ago 3
It's just 360. What do you want? Mine costs 1200+ and I guess is much better but for 360 you can't expect much.

2kwk2catch08 3 years ago
That's not a track frame. The frame has a pretty relaxed (road bike) geometry. Very slack head tube and seat tube angles on this bike.
