Brisbane has improved a lot from those dark days!

Diamonds are made under pressure they say! It seems that the political oppression only helped make the Youth Culture twice as active and the Rock Music Scene angry ("creative") as a result!

It was great to see this again after all these years..the "Mystery of Sixes" gig at the 4zzzfm radiothon at UQ was a real flashback...remember it well

Haha, that was nothing. I was 18 in 1987 in Brisbane and the way the alternative scenesters were treated by the police under Joh Bjelke Petersen was atrocious. You'd be beaten up by cops on a Friday night for having long hair if you were a guy. Forbidden entry to clubs for wearing black jeans! Pretty full-on.
