Unown puzzle 4

when you solve the 4 puzzles,will be something appearing?? or what will be after you solve those puzzles...? is there any secret or something? thx

Nothing appears. All it unlocks is a feature for the Gameboy color with a printer, writing out messages in Unown, printing them off and sharing them with friends. And of course, another knitch to the entire completion of the game, but otherwise it's a pretty useless feature.

It was a Slugma, although the nickname was intended for when it was a Magcargo; I figured that the french word for "Snail", and adding "Coal" in the middle, which somewhat relates to fire, would be kinda clever. Although I didn't realise at the time that "Escargot" had a T at the end. But in a way, good thing it didn't, would've been mighty wierd looking; "EsCoalGot"?

actually the puzzles do something more than what you said in the faq or whatever. they make the dogs easier to catch becauuse they enable you to catch the unknown that spell out "entai" "raikou" "suicoon" also spelling the two birds names make them easier to catch

What you just said was complete rubbish. I fell for that as well when these games first came out.

When I did believe it, I wondered why "Suicune" was a 7 letter word when you could only have 6 Pokemon on you. Then looked it up and it was a hoax.

Sorry to say, but it is a hoax, there is nothing in official walkthroughs about Unown improving the catch rate of the Legendary beasts, nor is there any evidence of it. If you want to catch them easily, weaken them to 1hp with False Swipe and put them to sleep.

And you said that you'll "prove" it works, but you'll most just likely begin recording and save the state when you encounter the Beasts and keep throwing Pokeballs, then stop recording and revert to the last state whenever you fail. I've had a look through your videos and you tend to not use the original soundtracks, so chopping up videos with Windows Movie Maker shouldn't be a problem, amirite?

@The1AndOnlyMike well the one problem with your "theory" is that hypercam 3 doesnt capture sound, just the screen, and if you noticed my newest video, if i did do what your suggesting i would have beaten misty on the first try and not second try, same with nugget bridge. but nice try

@The1AndOnlyMike you still made my point clearer. and besides i cant use save states. i use something called a usb NES controller when i play. it only has the buttons that the NES controllers had. and since i have a usb keyboard i have to un hook it inorder to use the controller so next time get the facts straight

kangashkan is in the darkcave in kanto where u can get cubone w.e its easy 2 catch not that hard i used about 6 ultra balls

On crystal it's different. You have to obtain/defeat all 3 legendary dogs. Then you talk to Eusiene in Celadon City pokemon centre. He says to go back to Ecruteak. Go there. Go to Tin Tower. A wise man gives you a Rainbow wing then says "Good luck" and the stairs appear.

Then the maze begins to Ho-oh. He's level 60.

You're right, to get to ho-oh you need Suicune and Entei. Unfortunately I don't have a video for this, so I might consider doing one sometime soon.

In the meantime, just take a wild guessing game! You'll get there eventually.

The easiest way is to defeat the Elite four and show Bill'a Grandpa some pokemon. Each one gives you an elemental stone of that pokemon.

Lickitung = Everstone

Staryu = Water stone

Oddish = Leaf Stone

Growlith = Fire stone

Pichu (NOT pikachu)= Thunderstone

Sun stone can be obtained from achieving first place in the Bug Catching contest.

Moon stones found on Monday Night at Mt. Moon. You will need Rock Smash.

You can also get some Stones from NPC's you've got numbers for. They give you stuff.

Hey bro I just got one question lol how you get staryu in crystal? I'v been trying to find one for days now... dont know where to look and in my pokedex it wont show where it is =/ Im starting to think I need to trade one over from silver or gold... =/

Staryu can only be found at night, best bets is to use a Super Rod on the fishing area south of Goldenrod City.

If that fails, just keep fishing at night in different areas.

Kangaskhan is in Rock Tunnel at night. It's rare.

Shiny ones are even rarer, so I used gameshark cheats to obtain it.

Celebi's only available through trade, by cheat or if you own the japanese version of Crystal, a downloaded patch to obtain a GS Ball.

Give it to Kurt, he'll give it back and then the "Celebi event" occurs. The shrine in Ilex forest is involved in this event. ;)

Check the version of the game. If it's Gold or Silver, it doesn't have the back wall puzzles.

Only Crystal does.
