  • Where did you get your custom slide on your Glock 17?

  • @TheSkundar - its the Nickle-Boron finish from Failzero.

  • @DragunBreath sorry, personal experience got in the way of my thinking. Also the average gun owner doesn't spend nearly enough time at the range. A revolver or pump shotgun in a panic situation. And yes, a semi sitting on a shelf with a full magazine is a problem waiting to happen, unless you use it, clean it and are familure with it.....which the average gun owner doesen't.

  • @JGFowler121 - an unpracticed gun owner is an unpracticed gun owner. That's no failing on the part of the weapon at all. I will say it again, a semi with a fully loaded mag is %100 fine. If your pistol is having stovepipes or jams with full mags, then either A. there is something wrong with your pistol, or B. there is something wrong with the ammo in it.

  • @DragunBreath Ok, I'll agree to that. Nice video, trying to save it to my favorites but the system won't load. Thanks for posting it.

  • @JGFowler121 - thanks much for the kudos, glad you enjoyed it :)

  • @DragunBreath Semi-automatics are not good for home defense because: unless you plan on loading a new magazine every day you need to keep the magazine half full to prevent stove piping/jaming. In a panic situation you need to be able to point and shoot unless you plan to spend time every month practicing at the range. Semi-automatics are great for partrol but revolvers are great for grab, point, and shoot.

  • @JGFowler121 - You are 100% wrong. You do not need to keep a magazine half full for any reason. The wear on a magazine spring comes from compressing, then decompressing it over and over, over time. This has been proven time and time again. And you are dead wrong on practice. You need to practice with your firearm often, no matter what kind of gun it is. A gun is only as accurate as the person who is shooting it, period. (provided it doesn't have mechanical issues, of course)

  • Only down side on this gun for home defense is that if you miss it can actually go through your walls and possibly hit your neighbor with that 357...But awesome gun...

  • Why wouldn't you recommend this for home defense for a house with kids?

  • @nevermind2886 - no sort of saftey on it, and if its loaded, it will go bag when you pull the trigger. With a semi auto, most have some sort of safety, and you can leave the chamber empty and still have it be ready to go for an intruder reasonably well. Its just my opinion really, I certainly wouldnt put someone down for it.

  • i would carry it it aint bad with a shoulder holster very bad ass gun

  • @Dragunbreath Great video, i'm new to firearms and i heard that Smith and wesson have changed the fireing pin to frame mounted in the new 686's, whats the disadvantage/advantage of this?

  • @JAllenAustralia - I havent seen one myself, but just to speculate: If the firing pin is in the frame, I would think it would be more protected from accidental damage, and it probably makes letting down the hammer on a live round safer. Maybe lightens the hammer and action somewhat as well. But again, that's all just speculation on my part, I have no idea for certain.

  • lol i almost bought one of those last month, looked just like that,

  • I love my model 65 S&W. the double action is the lightest trigger pull of all the guns I have and the single action is a hair trigger. :) It's accurate and comfortable in my hand. I would like to get some pacmyer grip for it though. I think the 357 is the evolution of the 38. It's a shame they don't make many semi's in the caliber.OH, P/S S&W are life time warrantied, just send it back to the factory and they will repair for free or at least very cheaply.

    thanks for sharing and posting..

  • I love my 686. It has a 6" barrel. They are very nice guns. I will link a video resopnse of a video I made showing a young guy that I work with how to shoot. It has a clip of my 686.

  • my dad has a s&w .357 but i`m not sure of the model #
