1st of all...flaps should be set to 20 and should be set when you start your engines after pushback...and where did you get that texture? i like it nice video (Y)
Well, i guess flaps are set lower than normal due to varying condition, like the runway, the wind counter-acting[?] the speed of the aircraft and its direction opposing the aircraft's. Maybe it depends on the weather.? I think..
Wth, 8800 should run it pretty well...My 9600 can run ultra high with about 20 fps but i customized the settings for it to run 35 fps but it runs 30-70 fps pretty easily. An 8800 should do much better...
Lufthansa stands for quality, but if you take off with full flaps....hmm i don´t know, its not so good :)...thats the reason why your take off was so terrible.
lol ok guys enuff is enuff. This was like one of my first ever take offs and vids so i was trying to coast and take off and video this thing in the rain no doubt so easy please ... sheesh
Crazy taxiing, for goodness sake. You taxi ON the line, not between the line and the edge, the taxiway isn't divided into two lanes. And, worse of all, NEVER use reverse thrust to slow-down/stop your plane except on landing. And if possible, try and take off ON the line too. The rest is quite good.
hey everyone! I just got a new hp laptop... it has an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor tk-57 and 512kb L2 cache (1.9 GHZ) and 2gb ddr2 sdram. will it be able to run fsx?
the only effect that i'm really surprised with on FSX is the engine sounds. depending on where you are standing in relation to the intake or exhaust it sounds different. nice touch.
it look good but something that i don't understand is why did you put the turbofans in reverse mode for preflight???? but it look god the panoramic view.
man i hate those effects, the spray is way too exagerated on the wheels. It would only have a little bit of a splash like if u were in a car. And theres is no spray coming from the engines! Why would they put big spray on the wheels and nothing on the engines? The giant thrust that those engines make would chuck the water on the ground into the air. It toally ruins it for me.
I agree, the water/snow effects in FSX aren't very good. The good news is that some people have made some hacks to get the engine thrust and reverser thrust effect on water.
I haven't personally used them, but you can generally find this kind of stuff at avsim and flightsim. Some times they are aircraft specific, so browsing the forums at places like Level-D will get you results too.
There is no built-in method. What you can do is get your plane where you want it, then shut everything down. After doing so, save the flight so you can re-load it time and again, thus instance cold-n-dark startup.
Keep in mind, there are some add-on aircraft that do have a built-in utility to set a plane into various configurations. Flight1's Super 80's is one that comes to mind right now.
hey BoeingBigJet! nice video, great animations, exceptional 747-like sounds! only one thing i do not completly understand: why did you use the thrust reversers while taxiing?
my computer is too slow for using all advanced animations, do you know of an airport that has very few scenery and i can try the jetways without having to restart my computer?
It is not good to use the reverser because of the low speed - there is the danger of blowing dirt in the air just in front of the engine inlet which may aspirate stones and debris - and that could cause damage to the fan blades and some compressor stages. That is the reason why reversers are only used after landing and only to a speed down to approximately 70knots...

you dont need to lower flaps quite that much for takoff, in real life that would create far too much drag, best to set it on about 5 to 10

NO 10-20 depending on the length of the runway i do 20 and no less on takeoff.

I have a question
what is better FSX or FS2004/2009
bmwthebestofworld 2 years ago
probably FS2004 because of the addon sceneries but FSX because FS2004 aircraft and some sceneries work in FSX, your choice
FS2004looney 2 years ago
FSX : much better Graphics like detailed mountains and sea waves but needs high pc specs
FS2004: works great on addons but the standard graphics of it is sucks :S
BlackTwister999 2 years ago
FSX by a long shot. Has more features and aircraft.
bassman5588 2 years ago
i personally think FSX is far superior to Fs2004 Depending on you PC specs they both are very sophisticated pieces of technology...so my pick...(FSX)

Dear All,
I have some question about psychology:
(1) Why do we enjoy flying "Flight Stimulator"?
(2) What is the fun and happy to pilot different models of aeroplanes in the sky?
(3) What is the fun to flying in a way that can only be accomplish in "Flight Stimulator"? (eg. landing an 747 on a USS carrier on the sea)
(4) Why do we like to fly different aeroplane with different external paintings in different airlines?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative brainstorm!!!
