  • how u painted need help??

  • 1st of all...flaps should be set to 20 and should be set when you start your engines after pushback...and where did you get that texture? i like it nice video (Y)

  • @MrCherryhead89

oh yea I was trying to video the thing while coasting so ;) any ways the texture ? I painted the plane

  • flaps are too extended !!

  • full flaps for takeoff?

  • Nice video *thumb up* feel free to watch my videos =)

  • reverse thrust for breaking what the f******** look i never seen someone do that.

  • nice sound

  • I called Microsoft one time about posting videos from their flight simulator, and they said it was prohibited.

  • You had your flaps too low for take-off...

  • why are your flaps fully down?

  • good paint but why do u use reverse to brake?

  • You've setted the flaps too much! only 2 or 3 time press F7 :)

  • Why did you use the thrust reverse for breaking?

  • Well, i guess flaps are set lower than normal due to varying condition, like the runway, the wind counter-acting[?] the speed of the aircraft and its direction opposing the aircraft's. Maybe it depends on the weather.? I think..

  • That Default FSX 747? Nice paint too!

  • Yes it is and i painted it quite awhile ago

  • @BoeingBigJet YOU CAN CUSTOM PAINT?!?!?!

  • what's the point of flying the aircraft from outside view? :-))

  • have a soundpack?

  • you dont need to lower flaps quite that much for takoff, in real life that would create far too much drag, best to set it on about 5 to 10

  • NO 10-20 depending on the length of the runway i do 20 and no less on takeoff.

  • @AirlinePilot124 the most put it on 20....in st.maarten you HAVE to put it on 20 minimum or you'll die muhahahah. nah :D

  • @747forever i mean say 10 on a runway length of like a 12,000 + BUT i ALWAYS use 20 in flight sim. Thats what i meant. :)

  • It's that pmdg?

  • From where can i get this sound effect. Its nice.I don't hear it in my fsx

  • Its PMDG payware about 80.00 dollars

  • did not understand why you used reverse thrust when entering the active(runway)..

  • @umam because he wants to show the sound of it i think

because the sound is also the topic of the video

  • I have a question

what is better FSX or FS2004/2009

  • probably FS2004 because of the addon sceneries but FSX because FS2004 aircraft and some sceneries work in FSX, your choice

  • FSX : much better Graphics like detailed mountains and sea waves but needs high pc specs

FS2004: works great on addons but the standard graphics of it is sucks :S

  • FSX by a long shot. Has more features and aircraft.

  • i personally think FSX is far superior to Fs2004 Depending on you PC specs they both are very sophisticated pieces of technology...so my pick...(FSX)

  • lol using reverse thrust to slow down the plane well taxiing? that's a new idea to put in the manuel! lol

  • Boring ...

  • what are your pc specs??

    incredible graphics

  • depends on how long runway is, use 10 or 20, can also use 5, but you would need one hell of a runway, pull back at around 174, varies on your weight

  • looks like too much flaps, they should be at 20.

  • 0:37 sound like reverse thrust

  • Yes... I saw reverse thrust engaged on the video.

  • it is. he slowing down in a very unique way

  • very wrong way...

  • look at the engines :D it is reverse thrust

  • thats because he did use them look on the engines on the left wing

  • Flaps to much down + Why to you use Engine to break ?

  • Cool video mate!

  • Awesome.

  • If you have over 2gig ram get a program CCF explorer and you can change the EXE file to accept greater than 2gig made my FSX run bettter.

  • wat graphics card u using?

  • where do you get the engine sounds ?

  • how do u taxi the plane ??????/

what do u use ? rudders or ailerons ?

    please please reply

  • rudders

  • i use ailerons but when i do it tends to oversteer alot lol so use rudder

  • nice taxiing but why did you have the reversers when you are at the end of the taxi way

  • cool vid

  • y do u have flaps althe way????

  • Oh, wow flaps all the way extended.

  • that effect does not do the real thing justice but i love the sound you have on that plane. please post a link

  • come on people just watch the vid for cryin out loud!

  • These don't sound like the default sounds. I'm going crazy trying to find a new sound package for FSX but I can't find any!

  • try avsim.

  • will fsx run on ultra high on my duo core processor 2.6ghz, 160 gb hd, 2 gb ram, and nvidia geforce 8800 supporting 512mb?

  • yes

  • i had :

    8800gts 640MBgddr3

    2.2GHz dual core

    3GB of ddr2

    and fsx RAPED my computer!

i'm actually looking to sell my computer so i can put up to buy a new machine just to run this beast on ultra high.

i suggest you invest in another gb of ram and an intel quad.

  • Wth, 8800 should run it pretty well...My 9600 can run ultra high with about 20 fps but i customized the settings for it to run 35 fps but it runs 30-70 fps pretty easily. An 8800 should do much better...

  • yes on my crap pc it runs ultra high with

    core 2 duo 2.33ghz

    3gb RAM

    8600GTS 256mb

    160gb hd

  • dude give this guy a break. I mean come on, isnt this a computer game? not everyone goes to fligh school... thats why they get FSX!

  • No, this is NOT a computer game! This is a SIMULATOR! U could run a real, full motion simulator with FSX and it would seem quite real... .

  • ummm, have u read the side of the box? it says "games for windows" therefore, it's a game. MS isnt that stupid...

  • you know what FSX stands for??? Flight Simulator X! see "flight simulator" ?

  • with the proper settings it would be close to the real thing

  • How can you record your take off...ist that a speacially programme??? please help me

  • Lufthansa stands for quality, but if you take off with full flaps....hmm i don´t know, its not so good :)...thats the reason why your take off was so terrible.

  • lol ok guys enuff is enuff. This was like one of my first ever take offs and vids so i was trying to coast and take off and video this thing in the rain no doubt so easy please ... sheesh

  • bad take off, you did ot center the airplane!

  • they have different engines GE P&W and rolls royce they all sound differnet

  • The sound doesn't sound like a 747...

  • full flaps on takeoff y?

  • Short runway

  • The runway can be the shortest of the world, anyways full flaps are NOT recommended for any aircraft take off. In the 747, 20 as much.

  • exciting...

  • Nice Takeoff

  • yeah

    bad taxiing and flaps

  • its not easy to taxi!

  • thats the easiest thing to do!!!

  • i agree taxing way to fast and using reverse thrusters to stop, and full flaps!

  • but in taxing, reverse thrusts r not being used,v should make the plane speed slow in taxing at 30 to 35 knots

  • Lights?

  • Dudeee, flaps must be on 5 or 10 by an takeoff!

  • Crazy taxiing, for goodness sake. You taxi ON the line, not between the line and the edge, the taxiway isn't divided into two lanes. And, worse of all, NEVER use reverse thrust to slow-down/stop your plane except on landing. And if possible, try and take off ON the line too. The rest is quite good.

  • give this guy a break.

  • LOL!! Learn to taxi!!

  • dude really good but put in some music not the jet sound its kinda bad but the rest awsome job

  • Hey excellent video. What program do you use to have such a realistic sound and water effect.I have a preety fast computer but it doenst do this

  • i thought that u were suppose to put flaps to 5 not 30

  • if you want to take off in a short runway, you put more flaps you get more lift. atleast i think... correct me if i am wrong

  • If you put too much flaps you will get very much drag and won´t get much speed, so more flaps on shorter runway just not too much

  • so that is why i couldnt take off with the a380 until i got like 7 second off the runway! thanks!

  • no prob. :P

  • more lift with more flaps,, so all good

  • in a 747. its 20

  • am thinking of buying the following PC with this Spec but need help! Its a Dell Inspiration 531

Processor: AMD Live Technology Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+

    Memory: 2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM (2X1024)

HARD DRIVE: 320GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive

Graphics Card: 128MB ATI Radeon HD2400 Pro Graphics Card.

Will this run FSX good. I currently have FS2004 but I want to get FSX if I buy this PC.

    Thanks

  • get it. definately

  • darn

    plz listen

i have an ati raedon 3200 gt gfx

if u like my 3 newest vids

dont include the low frames ones

then thats what u will get just lower

  • is this the ifly 747-400

  • I run fsx on a dell inspiron 1501 with

    turion 64 x2 (tl.56 1.79 ghz l2 cache)

    2 gb 677mhz ram

    windows xp media center

    80gb hdd

ati radeon 20m 256 ddr shared

and mine runs pretty good. Check out my videos and you can see how it runs

  • hey checked it out already....can you press shift+z twice to see what frame rate you are getting?

  • hey everyone! I just got a new hp laptop... it has an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor tk-57 and 512kb L2 cache (1.9 GHZ) and 2gb ddr2 sdram. will it be able to run fsx?

  • No, you won't cause of the proseccor.

  • the water effect on the wheels would probably only happen if u were doin about 100 knots

  • the only effect that i'm really surprised with on FSX is the engine sounds. depending on where you are standing in relation to the intake or exhaust it sounds different. nice touch.

  • you were almost out off runaway

  • good graphics nice pc

  • it look good but something that i don't understand is why did you put the turbofans in reverse mode for preflight???? but it look god the panoramic view.

  • where did you get the lufthansa liverie

  • I painted it. Should be at avsim and flightsim

  • wow good job!

  • How do you pain the planes?

  • it would be nice if we saw the water blast coming behind the engines

  • Were the flaps on 10°?? looks like more...

  • holy shit this is the best graffic ever!!!!!!!

  • where did you download that plane??? and are you playing this game on vista or xp?

  • The plane is my painted Lufty and its at avsim and flightsim we b sites. XP

  • how do you paint your own planes?

  • man i hate those effects, the spray is way too exagerated on the wheels. It would only have a little bit of a splash like if u were in a car. And theres is no spray coming from the engines! Why would they put big spray on the wheels and nothing on the engines? The giant thrust that those engines make would chuck the water on the ground into the air. It toally ruins it for me.

  • I agree, the water/snow effects in FSX aren't very good. The good news is that some people have made some hacks to get the engine thrust and reverser thrust effect on water.

  • Really? Do you know where I could find these?

  • I haven't personally used them, but you can generally find this kind of stuff at avsim and flightsim. Some times they are aircraft specific, so browsing the forums at places like Level-D will get you results too.

  • okay, thanks for ure help.

  • In FSX who do you start at a gate or parking with the engines off??

    ANYBODY PLEASE RESPOND IM DESPERATE!!!!

  • dont think you can he probbably started at gate then turned them off and on again??

  • There is no built-in method. What you can do is get your plane where you want it, then shut everything down. After doing so, save the flight so you can re-load it time and again, thus instance cold-n-dark startup.

  • Ah yes!

    Never thought of that.

    Cheers mate!

  • Keep in mind, there are some add-on aircraft that do have a built-in utility to set a plane into various configurations. Flight1's Super 80's is one that comes to mind right now.

  • great vid.. but u dont take of with full flaps on a 747-- onli 10 degrees.. :D

  • Why there is a smoke in the gear while moving???

  • lol that is spray mist from the wet runway :)

  • Its water spray effect. FSX over-exaggerates it though. Does the same thing in snow.

  • hey BoeingBigJet! nice video, great animations, exceptional 747-like sounds! only one thing i do not completly understand: why did you use the thrust reversers while taxiing?

  • Because i was just starting to play the game. Was still learning. The learning curve is pretty crazy if your not a pilot by trade lol.

  • what is your computer spes

  • dude, nice! sweet! one of the best FSX vids on youtube!

  • Probably pritty hard to get off the ground with your flaps like fully set

  • FSX, never fails to amaze pilots...

  • dude i carnt open my cfg file plz help thanks

    cool vid btw

  • Does anyone know how to move the jetway to the airplane's door? I always press the right keys but it doesn't work

  • 1. Make sure you have all advanced animations on at the settings.

    2. Make sure your Graphics Card supports Pixel Shader 2.0. (Go to the Manufacturer's website).

    3. Press Control J when your engines are off and parking brakes are set.

  • my computer is too slow for using all advanced animations, do you know of an airport that has very few scenery and i can try the jetways without having to restart my computer?

  • edwards afb

  • very nice vid. just one thing, why is there smoke coming from the wheels?

  • It is water spray from the rain

  • were u get that plane

  • I painted it

  • your good

  • Bloody hell that looks boring.

  • how do u download other planes and what graphics card where u using. plz how do you download other planes repsond.

  • I only recently brought fsx deluxe but can someone tell me why its not good to use reverses before take off?

  • It is not good to use the reverser because of the low speed - there is the danger of blowing dirt in the air just in front of the engine inlet which may aspirate stones and debris - and that could cause damage to the fan blades and some compressor stages. That is the reason why reversers are only used after landing and only to a speed down to approximately 70knots...

  • don't use reverses before take-off!

  • mabey he was over weight and tryin to burn some extra fuel..and i use full flaps on takeoff if its a shortfield takeoff just for the extra lift

  • never use reversers to brake before take off!

  • indeed!

  • i like the sound of the engines. where did u get the sound pack from?

  • Is this the PMDG 747??

  • no its the default 747 skinned by me

  • can you tell me what graphics card u were using while capturing this video?

  • you take off ... but almost off the runway line.. watch it

  • taking the runway, his right landing gear is right on the edge of the taxiway!

  • You should not brake with the reverses in other ocasions than landing ;-) That´s what the brakes are for.

I will keep flying my beloved FS9. It looks much better than the "brandnew" FSX.

  • true nd fs 9 works better bcuz fsx freezes 2 much i hate it it lags

  • they r at flaps 20

  • bullshit that was flaps 20, that looked full to me

  • WOOOOW!! Great Video.
