Second, yes it may be true that some crimes were commited against the Turkish Cypriots. But that's only half of the story. Crimes were also commited towards Greek Cypriots too.(I know people who had to leave their villages because it wasn't safe for them any more BEFORE 1974).

One another note, it was the Greek Cypriots who fought against the British to get them out of Cyprus. And it was them who suffered because of that.(including my grandfather who died after being tortured). If it wasn't for them Cyprus would probably still be a British colony.
Yes, it's true that the ultimate goal was enosis with Greece but so what? Why didn't the Turkish Cypriots fight for enosis with Turkey then? The answer is pretty simple, because they were the minority and they were satisfied with the state of things at the time. And they knew that if the British were to leave then things wouldn't be that great for them just like things were not that great for the Greek Cypriots during the times of the Ottoman empire.
However, things could have worked out in Cyprus(for both Greeks and Turks) if it wasn't for that joke of a constitution the British & Americans forced upon us in 1960 which was pretty much a time bomb the went off with the 1974 invasion of Cyprus by Turkey.

Second, yes it may be true that some crimes were commited against the Turkish Cypriots. But that's only half of the story. Crimes were also commited towards Greek Cypriots too.(I know people who had to leave their villages because it wasn't safe for them any more BEFORE 1974).

One another note, it was the Greek Cypriots who fought against the British to get them out of Cyprus. And it was them who suffered because of that.(including my grandfather who died after being tortured). If it wasn't for them Cyprus would probably still be a British colony.

Yes, it's true that the ultimate goal was enosis with Greece but so what? Why didn't the Turkish Cypriots fight for enosis with Turkey then? The answer is pretty simple, because they were the minority and they were satisfied with the state of things at the time. And they knew that if the British were to leave then things wouldn't be that great for them just like things were not that great for the Greek Cypriots during the times of the Ottoman empire.

Turks being a minority population in Cyprus 3-1, Turks were subjected to a policy of ethnic cleansing by Grivas (eoka B funded and supported by greece) and also Nicos Sampson who wanted to unite Cyprus with Greece. The greek policy of ethnic cleansing of turks in Cyprus started in 1955 and lasted until turkey came and saved the remaining turks in Cyprus 1974. Turks were denied any rights in Cyprus and the greek governments did not recognise the Turks right to exist in cyprus.

That's not true. Greek cuisine has some notable Turkish influences, true. But there's also a heavy Italian influence, as well as French, Spanish, Slavic, and Arabic influences. As for architecture: there isn't much Turkish influence around the world.

They have a problem with the 140000 settlers and 40000 troops sent to Cyprus in direct violation of article 49 of the Geneva convention.
