Does it lock when the blade flicks out?

Of course it does, and then to unlock it you pull a lever on the back of the lock. It's a modified ratchett strap lock. The guy who owns it is the only person I've seen who's able to flick it out that smoothly, I made the thing and find it a bit fiddly.
