pray for me that my problem is not the fuel pump .... i just replaced the main fuel relay ..
a nechanic did me a favor got it to me for his cost.. forty. so i did what the youtube videos
told me and ..it starts and keeps going .. .then i opened up the old main fule relay and saw
a bad solder conneciontion just like erik the car guy on his video said..i could have re soldered it but i chickened out and bought the new after market one. GOD bless all you
you have to should use a Jack to support the tank as you start to remove it(its heavy empty or not, and getting it back up would be quite a pain.once its down a few screws hold the pump in >> remove it >> replace it
and revers the steps to install
Sorry i couldn't be more detailed. I didn't know how to do it myself, i got help.
I tested the main fuel relay by replacing it with a known working one. If that isn't available there is also videos on youtube for how to test relays( you need a voltage meter i think and use the needed setting.
You HAVE to drop the tank on the 96 accord. i did it with a friend( mechanic for Acura) and i didnt record it.
I took out the main fuel relay (** on the 1996 accord it is not behind the cruise control box it is the relay that i Pointed at with the red backing. very easy to access***) and tested it.. seems fine. if i leave the car sitting for a day then it will catch but the shuts off. It is looking like a fuel pump issue unfortunately.

but i can give you a heads up.
jack the car up very ( be safe with supports)
Drain as much fuel as possible ( there is a drain bolt down there)
(from this point i dont remember the details)
i belive you have to remove a part of the rear exhaust
