I don't see the humor in this. Family Guy is hilarious, but most of the Jesus jokes just don't work. And don't say, "Well Seth MacFarlane's got BALLS!" No he doesn't. If he does, he needs to do a Mohammed joke, and I don't mean a terrorist joke, I mean an actual depiction of Mohammed doing something funny. If he chickens out, he's admitting that Christians are more civilized than Muslims.
@BlueRazor69 For the uneducated?? So anybody who is an Atheist is uneducated?? You are one more proof of what religion does to people, you fucking idiot.
@TheDM75 No. You're the one who thinks that because you are an Atheist you are intelligent. Many Athiests of all denominations are brilliant, articulate people. I for your information am not religious.
Warfare existed long before religion and it will exist long after any type of religion exists. Humans are inherently violent and has nothing to do with religious beliefs. In fact if people who claim to be religious never live the way they should, which gives credit to these jokes from people.
@BlueRazor69 Well i'm pretty sure that i am smart for being an Atheist and yes Religion does create war, don't tell me war has nothing to do with Religion please.
@TheDM75 Well people like you are the reason that Atheists come off as arrogant. Educate yourself a little and try not to seem cocky about answers to questions that humans will never prove or disprove
@BlueRazor69 Why do you keep saying to Educate myself just because i say i'm an Atheist?? Fucking hell, you nerds. I don't praise any Lord and i live happy, end of story, smartass.
@TheDM75 I say educate yourself because you are ignorant and uneducated, has nothing to do with being an atheist. A guy making a comment on how silly a comment you made is now you're bitching and moaning about what he is saying back to you. Try to live a little happier maybe you'll be better off man.
@BlueRazor69 Brilliant! Astounding reply! Absolutely full of superior intellect and logic! You must be an absolute genius, to have come up with a reply like that! I may even go far as to say, that such a comment speaks volumes of your own education. Or lack there of.
@xannonryuri If you're so smart you'd know where to put commas and periods in sentences. People who think war is a byproduct of religion are simply ignorant, war is an inherent aspect of humanity regardless of religious affiliations.
Today in our secular societies there is more war fought over trivial concerns than religion. War is fought over money and land, plain and simple.
@BlueRazor69 Right, the Crusades had nothing to do with religion, the Jews weren't mass murdered in World War II because of their religion, and the middle East definitely doesn't feud over religion. You sir are a dumbass. Thank you.
@TravisG06 Oh please the Crusades were all fought over trade routes and commercial enterprises that the Europeans had in the Holy Land. Religion was just the excuse to invade. Which just shows that most religious folk are not religious at all.
@TravisG06 Well said .. and well played Travis G06. As for Blue Razor's response, Nothing rallies the troops, I don't care the millenium, like religion. "Good people don't kill people, good people with religion kill people." Love that quote. The Middle East, including Israel, is all about religion. You tell me their leaders do not believe their God to be "the God" that's scary. They actually believe in religion.
@BlueRazor69 Ah yes, attacking someone's grammar: The argument of someone who knows they've lost, and so they're willing to take any victory they can get. And people like you, are ignorant. War isn't a byproduct of religion? Really?
I'd like to point you to the Crusades. Or How about the Witch Trials. Oh, and remember how the Europeans came over here, and waged war on the natives, calling them savages because they weren't Christian? Educate yourself you ignorant ass.
@BlueRazor69 continued... Yes, some wars are fought over land, money, etc. But religion has played a major role in many major wars in human history. The fact that you're so quick to overlook religious wars pretty much tells me you're either a fanatic, or a an idiot.
@xannonryuri Quite the contrary. As a student I learn to look at things in an objective view. The Crusades were fought over trade routes and commercial enterprises that the Christian nations were trying to press their rights in that the Muslim nations were not allowing them to do.
People like you who claim that war only exists because religion exists are the same people who think that Columbus discovered America and Muslims are all violent extremist towards Jews and Christians.
@BlueRazor69 so columbus did not discover america?
then who did discover america? i mean it wasn't america until someone call it america right? ohhh gee this is sooo hard maybe it's easier to watch the muslim channel and let them tell me to cover my mouth when i yawn.
@zelgadiss No of course he didn't. He was the one who was able to prove that the world was indeed round but all the world knew it was round already. This view of Columbus being this pioneed intellectual who theorized of a round earth is crap.
And America wasn't called America until Americo Vespucio, nothing to do with Columbus
@BlueRazor69 And people like you think you are always right, and anyone who disagrees with you is stupid.
And I never made any such claim that war only exists because of religion. Only that religion has CAUSED many wars. I also KNOW America was discovered before Columbus, and I KNOW that not all Muslims are just violent extremists. Don't assume you know people from a couple conversations. Congrats on making an ass of yourself.
@xannonryuri You're the one putting capital letters acting all tough man. Drink some tea, get a massage or something so you aren't so angry. It's really not attractive
@USMCNIM5 They weren't implying it was the first, they were implying that after the Magic Baby, we soon had one of MANY violent Crusades. Look them up. Especially the first one. It was so violent. So bloody...that people in the time seriously thought they were living in their end of days. Murder will still happen, but imagine all of the wars/ethnic cleanses/manifest destinies that wouldn't have held us back 1000 years.
No. They didn't. At least not an organized one. The Pantheon of Greek Gods didn't arise until about 1500 BC at earliest. Before then, there were pagans and pantheists, but nothing really organized. Judaism can trace it's roots as far back as ancient Sumeria in about 4500 BC, to a Jewish Pantheon of gods. From there, the tribe of Judah selected the War God, Yaweh, to follow into monotheism, and re-wrote existing texts to fit it as though Yaweh was the ONLY God.
That's why in Genesis, Yaweh says "Let us make man in our image." when there's only one of him. Of course any Christian will tell you he was talking to Jesus and the Holy Ghost, but most Christians don't know shit about ancient Judaism, or even the fact that the Old Testament is the Jewish Holy Book.
I love how Seth keeps doing religion jokes these days, keep cramming down peoples throats Seth, eventually your religion bashing jokes wont be funny anymore
You guys have some long interesting arguments. How is this, religion is for insecure people who don't know why they live, and don't know what they want with their lives. I'm sure you have hella lot to tell me about that but i won't visit this video comment section again so don't even bother replying. Have a nice day!
@KandEandY You mean you'd rather live in ignorance? You sound like someone who knows atheists are right, but simply hope that religions are so you 'believe' that.
Arguing with a Christian is like having a dog hump your leg. At first it's funny, but it gets annoying quick. The more you try to shake it off, the harder and faster it humps. In the end, the dog runs off and licks it's own ass and balls, and you have to contend with the Jizz on your leg. Moral is, don't wrestle a pig because you're going to get covered in shit and the pig is still a pig. Common sense and reality are not among the virtues held by believers.
@paramattic70 Why is a pig telling me not to wrestle with a pig. Hey pig, keep it up. You'll turn people away from your degenerate worldview like nothing else.
I don't debate Christians for the same reason I don't debate someone who thinks the Moon is made of cheese. The notion of a God is preposterous in this day and age of science, reason and technology. Believers lack the common sense to debate among reasonable people. I won't tolerate the imposition of your God's rules on me from the get go. It's degrading. I don't have to prove that your God doesn't exist. I've evolved beyond God and the need to justify my position to those who remain stagnant.
Your metaphor is faulty seeing as how it can be empirically proven that the moon is not made out of cheese. You're better off sticking with Santa Claus.
If it is degrading for one claim God as an authority for following a law/rule, then when isn't it degrading for any authority to require you to follow a law? What is the difference to you?
Religion deserves every form of mockery imaginable for keeping people ignorant! My Atheist friends will enjoy, "Religious Fanatic debates Atheist" on my channel.
even without religion, people would still hate each other. Race and ethnicity for example, always play huge role in terms of discrimination. Jealousy (social gap) can also breed hate. Greed can also breed hate and so on.
@whitenissan16 WW1 didnt have any religious cause. And, about God, how can you explain the fact that every physics law seems to be made right for life to appare? please think about it.@KoljiSK please dont be rude with him you are christian (i suppose) and you should love him (no, not that way! lol)..m
You're trolling, right? You seem to have things backwards; physical laws weren't made after life, life was made after physical laws. If something was born that couldn't exist with the current laws, it died. Things that could live with them stuck around and evolved.
@whitenissan16 i am defending christianity not vikings. Anyway if there was a bit of religious motivation this doesnt mean that wars would not have happened if there was no religion. Nazism wanted to destroy religion, were did you get the idea that it was a religion?
@clebcal1 in fact, the only thing I was able to say was: incorrect. I don't even know what he may talk about. Crusades? They undoubtly did kill a lot of people. But nothing, nothing like comunist states, which killed millions of religious people. Or the thousands deaths during the French Revolution. 95% wars committed... becouse of religion? Maybe he should take a look at the political reasons of that wars too.
@ Alleystalker It was not History. It were your parents.
@Trojanhorse60 the crusades war went on for a ridiclous amount of years and slaughtered people of both sides the numbers did reach the millions over the years and that just the start. nazi was a relugious cult a disgusting one but was religious and they started second world war. first world war was partley because religious reasons. vikings invaded countries, saxons, normans all for money land power but cause they believe their religion correct.if wasnt any they may not of happen
@whitenissan16 you know what i cant be assed for this turn huge argument. im athesist i belive in my family and friends and i love them and will treat them with respect without religion i dont need nor want it. if you want it fair enough. let leave it at that.
@KoljiSK no i dont believe in god because i havent seen any proof. and find the bible the biggest book of fantasy stories ever. not gonna lie behind it their is good message of respect, hope, honesty and to love your family. but the rest it rubbish. i dont think i need a religion to live a good happy life. athesist cause some these argument s but religion cause some to and where never gonna agree. im proud no doubt but that cause my family raised me well. but koljisk you seem alright
@whitenissan16 You haven't seen any proof? How about the fact you are here? There is no other explanation for the existence of the world than God superior to natural laws.
@KoljiSK yet their no proof that god exist nor created see where im coming from. to you their is to me their not. unless he stood infront me and should me hs divine powers i would not belive it. to me i am here because we evolved from neanderthals who evolved from chimps who evolved and so on into life goes all the way back to ocean and so on. we both have our ideas. simple if god came earth proved he existed i be one first to admit i was wrong and as for forgivness. cool
@KoljiSK it not my faith i dont worship it or anything. life was created from bacteria and parasites mixing and breeding that evolved im with science on this. dont take piss im trying be cival with you unlike most cause seem alrite.
You atheists are as irrational as they come. The fact that you'd take an argument like this to criticize Christianity or any religion for that matter is is beyond idiotic. I liken you to someone making fun of me for stepping in dog crap when they themselves are covered thick with it over every inch of their body. The mass graves scattered throughout the world by recent atheist regimes makes it clear that atheism is not only irrational and inviable but also dangerous.
@magustx It's ironic when you get your facts from a cartoon dog that says religion didn't exist for thousands of years. Stick to your cartoons if it makes you feel better about your empty beliefs.
@clebcal1 Who are you to talk about empty beliefs? Abrahamic religions are completely nihilistic. All of your actions in life are rendered null when you believe in an imaginary being that condemns you to heaven or hell solely based on your blind faith. Try looking at a world without an afterlife where the only actions that matter are the ones you make on your short time on earth. Try to have some moral integrity and accept that you believe in fantasy just to hide your own insecurities and fear
@magustx If there is no God and no purpose to the universe then your actions during your short life on earth are completely meaningless. Your life is as meaninless as the life of a termite. And in such a world there is no such thing as actions that matter, moral integrity or even reason. That's nihilism. My belief in God does not stem from a insecurity about death - it stems from evidence that I find trustworthy.
@clebcal1 Purpose and meaning are subjective. You have chosen to place all of your meaning in life into death. Religion was made for poor sheep that were told to be obedient while the priests lavish in wealth and power. Then at the end of the day when you have nothing and ask god why others are rewarded when you are not, you are told to wait for death and your time will come. You speak of evidence of god, however, you must know that there is none. lol its called faith for a reason
@magustx You should learn to think more critically. Your criticism about religion concerning the wealthy and the powerful could be applied to any atheist-marxist regime in the recent past. Also, faith doesn't negate evidence. To say that is completely irrational. People have faith in things because of the evidence not inspite of it. If your atheism is based upon the false assumption of faith having nothing to do with evidence then your view on reality is very deluded and simplistic.
@clebcal1 I agree, the church is just as corrupt and immoral as today's totalitarian regimes. People should be educated and make a choice for themselves, not to be spoon fed like children.
Please look up the definition of faith, then tell me your evidence for the existence of god
@magustx Your argument should be clarified. Your use of the term "church" sets up a false equivocation. The term church can include and exclude many things. In certain contexts I may even agree with your statement about church.
Faith is trust. I find reason to trust certain things and people. We all do.
@clebcal1 You should stop ignoring my points if you want to have an argument. Tho, I hope you are being honest with yourself in this conversation. If you have evidence that a god exists then please share it because currently there is zero evidence that a god exists. The problem with trust is that a malevolent person (or person above them) can take advantage of you. You should search for truth and always remain a skeptic
@magustx My evidence: The existence of the enitre universe. The percision of the laws of the universe's physics. The computer in your skull. The information in your DNA that allows you to read this. The fact that the apple has been designed to fit in my hand. A book that changed the world and the flow of history. The trustworthy nature of a man who rose from the dead. This is evidence even though you may not agree with it. The issue is not evidence the issue is the way you approach it.
You can sit there and trash the evidence like a pompous lawyer and pat yourself smugly on the back for it. You may think that positing impossible odds for the development of the unvierse is debunking the evidence - whatever. You may think that your assertion that some mysterious unobservable natural explanation for the creation of matter, life, information, and every other design is logical and more likely than a designer is legit.
You may think that the profound historical, circumstatial, and direct evidence for the resurrection of Christ is worthless becuase it doesn't line up with your assumptions. Take the evidence, have fun with it, trash it if you need to feel better about your empty worldview. But you're dealing with a person that has quite a bit of understanding. Don't try telling me there's no evidence. You can reject it but pretending it doesn't exist reveals more about you than anything else.
@clebcal1 I have to admit, your evidence is quite compelling and difficult to refute. You should lead by example and tell me why you do not believe in Islam (I am assuming the belief in Islam negates the belief in Christianity). I know how difficult it can be to refute an entire religion. It must have been difficult for you to prove that Islam is wrong
@magustx The atheist has to refute the enirety of Islam while the Christian does not, since Christianity and Islam have some beliefs in common. In this way atheism is really the most exclusive worldview there is. Comparing the character and teachings of Christ to Mohammad's character and teaching is where one should begin. The authenticity of Christ has greater backing for a number of reasons: historical, testimonial, prophetic, miraculous, etc.
@clebcal1 The atheist has nothing to refute. It is impossible to refute anything that is non-falsifiable, therefore any attempt is worthless. Since theists do not use this logic, believing in the supernatural, they have far more things to refute. Any facts that you present are meaningless when it is a matter of faith.
@magustx Truth is not predicated on something being non-falsifiable. Is strict natrualism falsifiable? In order for it to be falsifiable you'd have to measure it against what it is not -intelligent causation. But naturalistic assumptions won't allow for this, therefore naturalism is non-falsifiable on its own terms. Naturalism is a worldview that assumes that human sensory perception and reason can not only percieve all of reality but correctly interpret it.
@clebcal1 Something cannot be proven to be true if it cannot be proven to be false. Depending on your definition, strict naturalism is non-falsifiable, that is irrelevant. The possibility of the supernatural does not mean there should be reason to believe anything is true. Intelligent causation is evidence of intelligent causation, not supernatual forces. How does naturalism rule out intelligent causation? Reality and interpretation are subjective, there is no correct position.
@magustx It's not believing something just because it's possible. It's believing in something because there is good reason to believe it. What makes Christianity interesting, maybe more than all religions is that its upon a cliam that was and is falsifiable. Disprove that Jesus rose from the dead or at least come up with a rational explanation that fits the history and evidence and you can deal a death blow to Christianity. The Christian faith hangs on this piece of evidence.
@clebcal1 What? Are you serious? Alright, I have a rational explanation. There was once a being so powerful that it created all life in the universe. For some reason the being would torture all life that died for eternity. Then one day, around 2000 years ago the being decided that it was wrong to punish all life for eternity. So, he sent himself as a man into the world he created where he killed himself with other things he created. Then he told everyone to worship him or else they'll go to hell
@magustx Looking for a rational explanation, not a rant that sounds like a gradeschooler taunt at recess. If you feel that phrasing something in an assinine way accomplishes anything then good luck to you. I'm not insulted by it - just bored and sad that I'm wasting keystrokes on another angry atheist who has to resort to anger because his regurgitated "reason" fails to bring him to the heights of human arrogance to which he'd like to ascend.
Hate to break it to you but you're just a short-lived hairless monkey with a spongey 3 pound brain whose reason is merely an undependable evolutionary construct composed of chemical reactions that render you without free will and which is constrained by limited sensory perceptors. But you knew that already - so stop wasting your time and be a nihilist.
@clebcal1 I am not angered, but surprised that you still believe that your faith hinges on evidence. You clearly have not yet disproved Islam, yet you choose Christianity for arbitrary reasons. I did not think you were serious. If you would like me to disprove that Jesus rose from the dead then you must present the evidence clearly so that I can refute it
@magustx Logic, common sense, and any rational elementary understanding of history demands that the tomb of Jesus be empty and that something caused an immediate change in his followers. Numerous people claimed to have seen the resurrected Christ, wrote about it, and died for it. You can dismiss the resurrection of Christ as supersition but you need some decent evidence and not just an assumption. The evidence supports the resurrection even if you don't wish to believe it.
@clebcal1 Nothing supports resurrection, especially considering that science proves "resurrection" is impossible. One reason is that saying you saw something like that happen gives you enormous fame and, in a sense, power. It's the whole mob mentality thing. A few people say they saw it, then some more people want to be part of it, so they say that they saw it, and so on. Eventually, many people think "well I may as well have seen it," so they say that they saw it.
....And now you believe it, because there were many "eyewitnesses." Eyewitness reports, especially ones thousands of years ago, have almost no credibility. Look up Thucydides' historical method. You can't just trust your own senses and the senses of others, you have to trust logic and SCIENCE. The resurrection of Christ is NOT superstition. It's human nature to believe something because of the fact that many other people believe it. It's just how our brain works.
@clebcal1 I am not able to refute anything yet. You still need to specify who saw it and who wrote about it. The evidence you have provided thus far has not convinced me of any supernatural events
@magustx Christianity is of course faith based even though there is evidence to support. Today's atheism on the other hand is based upon a category mistake by assuming that natrual explanations of nature's mechanisms negates the existence of a designer. Understanding the innerworkings of an engine does not somehow infringe on the idea that a designer of the engine exists. Science explains, while religion explains why science explains. The folly and madness of atheism needs to end.
@clebcal1 Christianity is faith based due to a lack of evidence. If it is not so, then please specify what part of Christianity requires faith and what part requires evidence. Who is making the assumption that natural explanations negate the existence of a designer? Are you referring to the scientific method? Because no such claim is made there. Its possible that there could have been aliens or ancient humans that created the earth! Is there any reason why you do not believe in this?
@magustx Why does it seem possible that ancient aliens created the earth? Is this an inference you've made from design? You're just against certain types of designers, right? The types that might hold you accountable.
@clebcal1 Anything is possible. God, ancient humans, or aliens could very well have created the earth. I do not know. However, I will not believe any of these possibilities unless I have evidence for it. You believe that the Christian god created the universe. Can you define this god so that I know what you're talking about?
If there was a designer to this earth, whoever did it did a terrible job. For instance, people claim that the human eye is too complex for it to "appear by chance". I however point out that eye is too inherently fucked up to have been designed by anything even remotely considered intelligent. I mean, the brain has to reverse the image that the eye inputs in order to make sense of it. Not to mention it deals very badly with healing, and is inherenly prone to problems.
@Jinxerz010792 well... what if, in that sense, turning images upside down is the way of the world but we are just too used to thinking an image is meant to be upside up.
what we think is normal might be wierd to "God" :O
If it was weird, then why'd he create it that way?
Derp.
Also, things are meant to be "Upside up". Our brain takes the image our eyes inputs and corrects it for us. Otherwise we'd be walking around seeing everything upside down. Thankfully we have other models of eyes, like those of the octopus, which see properly without having to flip the image, to compare our own eyes to in order to confirm this.
@Jinxerz010792 Exactly, I went to the Super Bowl in Indy and there were some douchebags yelling into a speaker about religion and this is exactly what they brought up, the human eye complexity... and math equations?
I said, who the fuck do you think invented math you fuck tards? HUMANS!
Then I followed up with, fucking frogs and insects and shit have eyes.
@clebcal1 What if I asked you how clouds are formed? I will assume that you do not know. Since you do not know, you would tell me that it is because god created them. However, we both (should) know that cloud formation has a scientific explanation. There was a time when humans did not know this.
When you ask me how was the universe was created, I can tell you that I do not know. Is this answer not sufficient? When god is the cause of everything, is there anything you do not know?
@magustx The fact that cloud formation has a scientific explanation does not somehow dismiss the existence of God. In fact, assuming the existence of natural laws implies a lawgiver. Assuming that there is a scientific explanation behind everything in the natural world flows most naturally from an assumption that there is an intelligent cause behind it. God is indeed the primary cause of all things but why should that stop me from investigating secondary causes?
@clebcal1 Nothing is needed to dismiss the existence of god when god is the proposed idea for something unknown. A lawgiver is not a supernatural being. It is an entity in a system that uses its power to control the behavior of others. Similar to how larger stars have stronger gravitational pull than smaller stars. They keep order in a system without intelligence. It is not logical to believe in anything without some form of proof
@clebcal1 The existence of the entire universe encompasses all other evidence you have listed. I don't understand how existence of the universe equates to god exists. I could similarly say apples exist, therefore Zeus exists. How do you refute such a statement? What if I said the universe exists, therefore there is no god. Does that not directly refute your belief? Surely you must see that by definition, there is no evidence for supernatural things
@magustx Hundreds of train cars are flying down a RR track. While these cars are in motion and are pulling other cars they are not the prime cause. Everyone would assume that a locomotive (even if out of view) is the prime and necessary cause. Or consider a building. One will not find the prime cause of that building (the architect) within its structure - they are distinct. Also, the secondary causes (construction workers, machines) do not negate his existence either.
@clebcal1 Imagine the known universe contains only the sol system. The earth is in motion. It is moved by a force impossible to understand without science. As humans learned more about the sun, our knowledge expanded to include other stars. As science and human knowledge expand, the god of the gaps also increases in size. What knowledge would it take to disprove your notions of intelligent design?
@magustx What knowledge would it take to disprove someone's notion that the sky is not blue? The problem is not in the sky the problem is with the one perceiving it as not being blue. The existence of God and the blue sky are axiomatic.
@clebcal1 If the sky is any color other than blue, then it is not blue. What you are asking to prove is that the color blue is not the color blue. This is a matter of perception, which is completely subjective. The idea of god is subjective, unless strictly defined
@clebcal1 right and yet christianity is the number 1 biggest killer in the world. more so then all other religions put together and mother nature it self. and around 95% of wars commited are because of religion. this cartoon is a joke simple as. i could use the bible to critcize christianity and tear it apart bit by bit. im athesist for good reason doesnt mean im bad person and im wrong i see no proof of god and find the bible is complete lies. your just as bad as us if not worse.
@whitenissan16 What? The number one biggest killer in the world? You can't just toss nonsense out and expect people to take you seriously. There's no way to even comment on your statement because it's completely void of any sort of logical argumentation or any substantive facts to work with. Wow. I seriously hope you're in middle scholol - if you are then I can just blame this on the sorry state of public education.
Wars would exist without religion. Our motives would just be things like material greed and the desire for power rather than faith-based hatred and the quest for divine appraisal.
"With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil—that takes religion" - Steven Weinberg.
@ebonmaskarade77 In a war, the government would just have to make it seem like you earned/deserve what you are taking from somebody else. That's pretty easy, considering self-interest--sadly--almost always trumps selflessness. That's why capitalism works so well. People are fine taking things from others if they feel like they "deserve" it more than other people.
@M9J4G I suppose there is a degree of truth to that. But still it seems harder to wage war on people without a cause. As far as causes go religious ones are the most problematic. Eliminating religion makes the process of fighting propaganda easier since any claim can be debunked with information. With religion the argument becomes unwinable since anyone can make up any facts they choose to prove their point.
@potsos You could say that. So it would be a statistical impossibility that war could exist before it. I guess they both came into existence at the same time. Kind of.
I don't give a fuck what anyone believes in. I believe in god and Jesus and not the Bible. I believe in the teachings of hinduism but not the teachings. Simply because you have no faitth does not mean everyone elses faith dosen't exist.
all religions are wrong. christianity (catholics, protestants), islam, judaism, mormonism, etc. Fuck all of them

My favourite part about this YouTube video is all the people who don't realise that this is a parody of Brian's bigoted view of Christianity.
Family Guy is a satirical cartoon, people. Seth MacFarlane may not be religious but he's not blind to bigotry on both sides.
Atheists - This is not a serious commentary on religion.
Christians - This is not a serious commentary on religion.
Everyone else - This is not a serious commentary on religion.

TheDM75 2 weeks ago
@TheDM75 No. You're the one who thinks that because you are an Atheist you are intelligent. Many Athiests of all denominations are brilliant, articulate people. I for your information am not religious.
Warfare existed long before religion and it will exist long after any type of religion exists. Humans are inherently violent and has nothing to do with religious beliefs. In fact if people who claim to be religious never live the way they should, which gives credit to these jokes from people.
BlueRazor69 2 weeks ago
@BlueRazor69 Well i'm pretty sure that i am smart for being an Atheist and yes Religion does create war, don't tell me war has nothing to do with Religion please.

@TheDM75 Well people like you are the reason that Atheists come off as arrogant. Educate yourself a little and try not to seem cocky about answers to questions that humans will never prove or disprove

@BlueRazor69 Why do you keep saying to Educate myself just because i say i'm an Atheist?? Fucking hell, you nerds. I don't praise any Lord and i live happy, end of story, smartass.
TheDM75 2 weeks ago
@TheDM75 I say educate yourself because you are ignorant and uneducated, has nothing to do with being an atheist. A guy making a comment on how silly a comment you made is now you're bitching and moaning about what he is saying back to you. Try to live a little happier maybe you'll be better off man.

@BlueRazor69 Brilliant! Astounding reply! Absolutely full of superior intellect and logic! You must be an absolute genius, to have come up with a reply like that! I may even go far as to say, that such a comment speaks volumes of your own education. Or lack there of.
xannonryuri 2 weeks ago
@xannonryuri If you're so smart you'd know where to put commas and periods in sentences. People who think war is a byproduct of religion are simply ignorant, war is an inherent aspect of humanity regardless of religious affiliations.
Today in our secular societies there is more war fought over trivial concerns than religion. War is fought over money and land, plain and simple.
BlueRazor69 2 weeks ago
@BlueRazor69 Right, the Crusades had nothing to do with religion, the Jews weren't mass murdered in World War II because of their religion, and the middle East definitely doesn't feud over religion. You sir are a dumbass. Thank you.
TravisG06 2 weeks ago
@TravisG06 Oh please the Crusades were all fought over trade routes and commercial enterprises that the Europeans had in the Holy Land. Religion was just the excuse to invade. Which just shows that most religious folk are not religious at all.
BlueRazor69 2 weeks ago
@TravisG06 Well said .. and well played Travis G06. As for Blue Razor's response, Nothing rallies the troops, I don't care the millenium, like religion. "Good people don't kill people, good people with religion kill people." Love that quote. The Middle East, including Israel, is all about religion. You tell me their leaders do not believe their God to be "the God" that's scary. They actually believe in religion.
Albertaguy321 2 weeks ago
@BlueRazor69 Ah yes, attacking someone's grammar: The argument of someone who knows they've lost, and so they're willing to take any victory they can get. And people like you, are ignorant. War isn't a byproduct of religion? Really?
I'd like to point you to the Crusades. Or How about the Witch Trials. Oh, and remember how the Europeans came over here, and waged war on the natives, calling them savages because they weren't Christian? Educate yourself you ignorant ass.
xannonryuri 2 weeks ago
@BlueRazor69 continued... Yes, some wars are fought over land, money, etc. But religion has played a major role in many major wars in human history. The fact that you're so quick to overlook religious wars pretty much tells me you're either a fanatic, or a an idiot.
xannonryuri 2 weeks ago
@xannonryuri Quite the contrary. As a student I learn to look at things in an objective view. The Crusades were fought over trade routes and commercial enterprises that the Christian nations were trying to press their rights in that the Muslim nations were not allowing them to do.
People like you who claim that war only exists because religion exists are the same people who think that Columbus discovered America and Muslims are all violent extremist towards Jews and Christians.
BlueRazor69 1 week ago
@BlueRazor69 so columbus did not discover america?
then who did discover america? i mean it wasn't america until someone call it america right? ohhh gee this is sooo hard maybe it's easier to watch the muslim channel and let them tell me to cover my mouth when i yawn.

@zelgadiss No of course he didn't. He was the one who was able to prove that the world was indeed round but all the world knew it was round already. This view of Columbus being this pioneed intellectual who theorized of a round earth is crap.

BlueRazor69 1 week ago
@BlueRazor69 And people like you think you are always right, and anyone who disagrees with you is stupid.
And I never made any such claim that war only exists because of religion. Only that religion has CAUSED many wars. I also KNOW America was discovered before Columbus, and I KNOW that not all Muslims are just violent extremists. Don't assume you know people from a couple conversations. Congrats on making an ass of yourself.

Didn't the Greeks have a religion WAY before the Jewish did? And if memory serves, they were way before their time.
00411392 1 month ago
Jinxerz010792 1 month ago
That's why in Genesis, Yaweh says "Let us make man in our image." when there's only one of him. Of course any Christian will tell you he was talking to Jesus and the Holy Ghost, but most Christians don't know shit about ancient Judaism, or even the fact that the Old Testament is the Jewish Holy Book.

I've evolved beyond God and the need to justify my position to those who remain stagnant.
paramattic70 1 month ago
@paramattic70

@clebcal1 The irony of your post is pathetic. Stick to reading the bible and praying next time something angers you
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx It's ironic when you get your facts from a cartoon dog that says religion didn't exist for thousands of years. Stick to your cartoons if it makes you feel better about your empty beliefs.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 Who are you to talk about empty beliefs? Abrahamic religions are completely nihilistic. All of your actions in life are rendered null when you believe in an imaginary being that condemns you to heaven or hell solely based on your blind faith. Try looking at a world without an afterlife where the only actions that matter are the ones you make on your short time on earth. Try to have some moral integrity and accept that you believe in fantasy just to hide your own insecurities and fear
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx If there is no God and no purpose to the universe then your actions during your short life on earth are completely meaningless. Your life is as meaninless as the life of a termite. And in such a world there is no such thing as actions that matter, moral integrity or even reason. That's nihilism. My belief in God does not stem from a insecurity about death - it stems from evidence that I find trustworthy.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 Purpose and meaning are subjective. You have chosen to place all of your meaning in life into death. Religion was made for poor sheep that were told to be obedient while the priests lavish in wealth and power. Then at the end of the day when you have nothing and ask god why others are rewarded when you are not, you are told to wait for death and your time will come. You speak of evidence of god, however, you must know that there is none. lol its called faith for a reason
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx You should learn to think more critically. Your criticism about religion concerning the wealthy and the powerful could be applied to any atheist-marxist regime in the recent past. Also, faith doesn't negate evidence. To say that is completely irrational. People have faith in things because of the evidence not inspite of it. If your atheism is based upon the false assumption of faith having nothing to do with evidence then your view on reality is very deluded and simplistic.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 I agree, the church is just as corrupt and immoral as today's totalitarian regimes. People should be educated and make a choice for themselves, not to be spoon fed like children.
Please look up the definition of faith, then tell me your evidence for the existence of god
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx Your argument should be clarified. Your use of the term "church" sets up a false equivocation. The term church can include and exclude many things. In certain contexts I may even agree with your statement about church.
Faith is trust. I find reason to trust certain things and people. We all do.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 You should stop ignoring my points if you want to have an argument. Tho, I hope you are being honest with yourself in this conversation. If you have evidence that a god exists then please share it because currently there is zero evidence that a god exists. The problem with trust is that a malevolent person (or person above them) can take advantage of you. You should search for truth and always remain a skeptic
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx My evidence: The existence of the enitre universe. The percision of the laws of the universe's physics. The computer in your skull. The information in your DNA that allows you to read this. The fact that the apple has been designed to fit in my hand. A book that changed the world and the flow of history. The trustworthy nature of a man who rose from the dead. This is evidence even though you may not agree with it. The issue is not evidence the issue is the way you approach it.
clebcal1 1 month ago
You can sit there and trash the evidence like a pompous lawyer and pat yourself smugly on the back for it. You may think that positing impossible odds for the development of the unvierse is debunking the evidence - whatever. You may think that your assertion that some mysterious unobservable natural explanation for the creation of matter, life, information, and every other design is logical and more likely than a designer is legit.
clebcal1 1 month ago
You may think that the profound historical, circumstatial, and direct evidence for the resurrection of Christ is worthless becuase it doesn't line up with your assumptions. Take the evidence, have fun with it, trash it if you need to feel better about your empty worldview. But you're dealing with a person that has quite a bit of understanding. Don't try telling me there's no evidence. You can reject it but pretending it doesn't exist reveals more about you than anything else.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 I have to admit, your evidence is quite compelling and difficult to refute. You should lead by example and tell me why you do not believe in Islam (I am assuming the belief in Islam negates the belief in Christianity). I know how difficult it can be to refute an entire religion. It must have been difficult for you to prove that Islam is wrong
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx The atheist has to refute the enirety of Islam while the Christian does not, since Christianity and Islam have some beliefs in common. In this way atheism is really the most exclusive worldview there is. Comparing the character and teachings of Christ to Mohammad's character and teaching is where one should begin. The authenticity of Christ has greater backing for a number of reasons: historical, testimonial, prophetic, miraculous, etc.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 The atheist has nothing to refute. It is impossible to refute anything that is non-falsifiable, therefore any attempt is worthless. Since theists do not use this logic, believing in the supernatural, they have far more things to refute. Any facts that you present are meaningless when it is a matter of faith.
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx Truth is not predicated on something being non-falsifiable. Is strict natrualism falsifiable? In order for it to be falsifiable you'd have to measure it against what it is not -intelligent causation. But naturalistic assumptions won't allow for this, therefore naturalism is non-falsifiable on its own terms. Naturalism is a worldview that assumes that human sensory perception and reason can not only percieve all of reality but correctly interpret it.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 Something cannot be proven to be true if it cannot be proven to be false. Depending on your definition, strict naturalism is non-falsifiable, that is irrelevant. The possibility of the supernatural does not mean there should be reason to believe anything is true. Intelligent causation is evidence of intelligent causation, not supernatual forces. How does naturalism rule out intelligent causation? Reality and interpretation are subjective, there is no correct position.
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx It's not believing something just because it's possible. It's believing in something because there is good reason to believe it. What makes Christianity interesting, maybe more than all religions is that its upon a cliam that was and is falsifiable. Disprove that Jesus rose from the dead or at least come up with a rational explanation that fits the history and evidence and you can deal a death blow to Christianity. The Christian faith hangs on this piece of evidence.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 What? Are you serious? Alright, I have a rational explanation. There was once a being so powerful that it created all life in the universe. For some reason the being would torture all life that died for eternity. Then one day, around 2000 years ago the being decided that it was wrong to punish all life for eternity. So, he sent himself as a man into the world he created where he killed himself with other things he created. Then he told everyone to worship him or else they'll go to hell
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx Looking for a rational explanation, not a rant that sounds like a gradeschooler taunt at recess. If you feel that phrasing something in an assinine way accomplishes anything then good luck to you. I'm not insulted by it - just bored and sad that I'm wasting keystrokes on another angry atheist who has to resort to anger because his regurgitated "reason" fails to bring him to the heights of human arrogance to which he'd like to ascend.
clebcal1 1 month ago
Hate to break it to you but you're just a short-lived hairless monkey with a spongey 3 pound brain whose reason is merely an undependable evolutionary construct composed of chemical reactions that render you without free will and which is constrained by limited sensory perceptors. But you knew that already - so stop wasting your time and be a nihilist.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 I am not angered, but surprised that you still believe that your faith hinges on evidence. You clearly have not yet disproved Islam, yet you choose Christianity for arbitrary reasons. I did not think you were serious. If you would like me to disprove that Jesus rose from the dead then you must present the evidence clearly so that I can refute it
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx Logic, common sense, and any rational elementary understanding of history demands that the tomb of Jesus be empty and that something caused an immediate change in his followers. Numerous people claimed to have seen the resurrected Christ, wrote about it, and died for it. You can dismiss the resurrection of Christ as supersition but you need some decent evidence and not just an assumption. The evidence supports the resurrection even if you don't wish to believe it.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 Nothing supports resurrection, especially considering that science proves "resurrection" is impossible. One reason is that saying you saw something like that happen gives you enormous fame and, in a sense, power. It's the whole mob mentality thing. A few people say they saw it, then some more people want to be part of it, so they say that they saw it, and so on. Eventually, many people think "well I may as well have seen it," so they say that they saw it.
M9J4G 1 month ago
....And now you believe it, because there were many "eyewitnesses." Eyewitness reports, especially ones thousands of years ago, have almost no credibility. Look up Thucydides' historical method. You can't just trust your own senses and the senses of others, you have to trust logic and SCIENCE. The resurrection of Christ is NOT superstition. It's human nature to believe something because of the fact that many other people believe it. It's just how our brain works.
M9J4G 1 month ago
@clebcal1 I am not able to refute anything yet. You still need to specify who saw it and who wrote about it. The evidence you have provided thus far has not convinced me of any supernatural events
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx Christianity is of course faith based even though there is evidence to support. Today's atheism on the other hand is based upon a category mistake by assuming that natrual explanations of nature's mechanisms negates the existence of a designer. Understanding the innerworkings of an engine does not somehow infringe on the idea that a designer of the engine exists. Science explains, while religion explains why science explains. The folly and madness of atheism needs to end.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 Christianity is faith based due to a lack of evidence. If it is not so, then please specify what part of Christianity requires faith and what part requires evidence. Who is making the assumption that natural explanations negate the existence of a designer? Are you referring to the scientific method? Because no such claim is made there. Its possible that there could have been aliens or ancient humans that created the earth! Is there any reason why you do not believe in this?
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx Why does it seem possible that ancient aliens created the earth? Is this an inference you've made from design? You're just against certain types of designers, right? The types that might hold you accountable.
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 Anything is possible. God, ancient humans, or aliens could very well have created the earth. I do not know. However, I will not believe any of these possibilities unless I have evidence for it. You believe that the Christian god created the universe. Can you define this god so that I know what you're talking about?
magustx 1 month ago
If there was a designer to this earth, whoever did it did a terrible job. For instance, people claim that the human eye is too complex for it to "appear by chance". I however point out that eye is too inherently fucked up to have been designed by anything even remotely considered intelligent. I mean, the brain has to reverse the image that the eye inputs in order to make sense of it. Not to mention it deals very badly with healing, and is inherenly prone to problems.

iamabgarcia 2 weeks ago

When god is the cause of everything, is there anything you do not know?
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx The fact that cloud formation has a scientific explanation does not somehow dismiss the existence of God. In fact, assuming the existence of natural laws implies a lawgiver. Assuming that there is a scientific explanation behind everything in the natural world flows most naturally from an assumption that there is an intelligent cause behind it. God is indeed the primary cause of all things but why should that stop me from investigating secondary causes?
clebcal1 1 month ago
@clebcal1 Nothing is needed to dismiss the existence of god when god is the proposed idea for something unknown. A lawgiver is not a supernatural being. It is an entity in a system that uses its power to control the behavior of others. Similar to how larger stars have stronger gravitational pull than smaller stars. They keep order in a system without intelligence. It is not logical to believe in anything without some form of proof
magustx 1 month ago

What knowledge would it take to disprove your notions of intelligent design?
magustx 1 month ago
@magustx What knowledge would it take to disprove someone's notion that the sky is not blue? The problem is not in the sky the problem is with the one perceiving it as not being blue. The existence of God and the blue sky are axiomatic.
clebcal1 1 month ago

@M9J4G It's a lot harder to get your people behind you when you use greed openly
ebonmaskarade77 1 month ago
@ebonmaskarade77 In a war, the government would just have to make it seem like you earned/deserve what you are taking from somebody else. That's pretty easy, considering self-interest--sadly--almost always trumps selflessness. That's why capitalism works so well. People are fine taking things from others if they feel like they "deserve" it more than other people.
M9J4G 1 month ago
@M9J4G I suppose there is a degree of truth to that. But still it seems harder to wage war on people without a cause. As far as causes go religious ones are the most problematic. Eliminating religion makes the process of fighting propaganda easier since any claim can be debunked with information. With religion the argument becomes unwinable since anyone can make up any facts they choose to prove their point.

No. They really didn't. They never have.

@garrysmodmoviemaker1 Religion has existed as long as man.
potsos 1 month ago
@potsos You could say that. So it would be a statistical impossibility that war could exist before it. I guess they both came into existence at the same time. Kind of.

I don't give a fuck what anyone believes in. I believe in god and Jesus and not the Bible. I believe in the teachings of hinduism but not the teachings. Simply because you have no faitth does not mean everyone elses faith dosen't exist.
